Within seconds, the shattered courtyard began repairing itself.
The process was remarkably smooth and seeing it, Lin Mu’s eyes narrowed. His attention immediately shifted toward the formation runes hidden beneath the surface. Though his cultivation remained sealed, his knowledge certainly wasn’t, as such a few glimpses were enough.
His mind rapidly reconstructed the formation.
’Thousand Fold Rock Birth Array?’ Lin Mu was genuinely surprised.
The formation was famous among high level formation masters as its effects were exceptional.
But its cost was even more exceptional.
The array continuously repaired environmental damage while reinforcing the surrounding terrain. Entire battlefields could recover naturally through its influence. The problem was that almost no one could actually afford to use it.
The formation required vast quantities of resources, but more importantly, it required a specific type of leyline.
An Earthen Essence Leyline.
Without one, the formation would consume so many immortal stones that even wealthy sects would quickly abandon it.
Lin Mu subtly examined the mountain around him. Then he thought about everything he had seen during their flight, the enormous size of the mountain, the ancient forests, the countless beast battles, the craters amidst the collapsed cliffs.
They were all evidence of constant destruction.
Yet despite all that, the mountain remained remarkably intact. Many of the scars he had seen appeared to be actively healing, as such his conclusion formed quickly.
’There really is an Earthen Essence Leyline beneath this mountain.’ The realization made him even more interested in Wild Peak.
A mountain supported by such a leyline was practically a natural treasure land for body cultivators. Earth essence naturally strengthened physical bodies and enhanced vitality.
’No wonder a body cultivation division had established itself here.’ He thought.
Lin Mu wanted to ask countless questions. Unfortunately Little Bull would never know enough to ask them.
Thus he remained silent.
"Come." High Elder Shatter Peak waved his hand. "I’ll introduce you to everyone."
Little Bull nodded obediently and the giant elder immediately began walking. Lin Mu followed and they entered one of the larger buildings through a broad entrance carved directly into the mountain rock.
The architecture immediately felt different from the rest of the sect. There were no ornate jade decorations, no elegant carvings, no intricate murals, or even some basic gardens. Instead everything looked sturdy and practical.
It was all built to survive a lot of abuse... Which it probably got everyday.
The floors consisted of solid stone, the walls were thick enough to stop siege weapons and even the support pillars appeared carved from entire sections of mountain rocks. Instead of a sect hall, the place felt more like a military fortress.
Or perhaps a giant beast’s den.
As they continued deeper, Lin Mu noticed various signs of everyday life. Large weapon racks lined the walls, training equipment occupied open chambers, and massive weights weighing several tons sat casually in corners.
Several doors possessed visible dents and cracks. One hallway even had a section of wall that looked as though someone had punched through it. But nobody appeared concerned about the damage.
If anything, it looked normal.
Their footsteps echoed through a series of corridors and the deeper they traveled, the louder the sounds became. At first it resembled distant conversation, then it grew louder as Lin Mu heard a mix of laughter, arguments, boasting, someone yelling and someone else yelling louder.
The atmosphere felt lively and chaotic, completely different from the refined image most disciples associated with major sects. Eventually they reached a pair of enormous doors and the sounds coming from beyond them resembled a marketplace more than a gathering hall.
High Elder Shatter Peak grinned, then he slammed both doors open.
BOOM!
The doors struck the walls and the noise echoed throughout the building. Instant silence followed as over a hundred heads turned simultaneously. The hall froze as Lin Mu looked inside.
The sight was impressive as the hall itself was massive, being several hundred meters across. Long tables filled the space, large braziers illuminated the interior while the ceiling rose high overhead, supported by gigantic pillars.
Most importantly, the room was filled with people, and nearly all of them looked terrifying.
Muscles... muscles everywhere.
Lin Mu honestly felt that some of these people possessed enough muscle mass to qualify as separate lifeforms. Many stood over two meters tall and several approached High Elder Shatter Peak’s size.
Broad shoulders, thick arms, thunderous thighs and utterly powerful physiques. Everywhere he looked were body cultivators radiating vitality. The sheer concentration of physical strength inside the room was staggering.
If an outsider wandered inside, they might mistake the place for a gathering of ancient war gods.
A large number of the men resembled walking mountains, some possessed scars covering their bodies, others carried giant weapons and several even appeared to have been wrestling moments earlier.
One disciple was casually chewing on a beast leg larger than a human torso.
Little Bull blinked. "They look strong."
A few disciples grinned proudly, then Lin Mu noticed something else.
The women.
Several female disciples sat throughout the hall. Many were just as physically imposing as the men having broad shoulders, powerful arms and visible muscles with veins popping clearly.
Some looked capable of tearing apart immortal beasts with their bare hands.
Had this been before meeting Cattaleya, Lin Mu would have found the sight shocking. Compared to Cattaleya though, these women merely seemed normal. Still, another group attracted his attention.
A handful of women looked entirely different. They were beautiful, slender, elegant and very graceful.
At first glance, they seemed completely out of place. One had long silver hair flowing down her back, another possessed delicate features and smooth skin and a third appeared more like a noble lady than a body cultivator.
Yet Lin Mu immediately sensed the truth. ’Their vitality is immense.’
Hidden beneath their appearances were physical bodies every bit as terrifying as the others. In fact, one of them might have possessed more vitality than some of the larger men. Lin Mu instantly understood, they had reached a level where controlling their physiques was effortless.
Their appearance reflected choice rather than limitation.
