Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 771: Bye Byes

Chapter 771: Bye Byes

It didn’t take long for Rael and Nyx to arrive back at Victoria’s throne room, but almost like he had been away for a very long time, the other Dragon Gods had already made their way back home, and only Indra remained alongside his wife.

For some reason, Astaroth and Indra were engaged in a conversation, and if Rael didn’t know any better, he’d say the two of them had somehow become friends.

Was that really it?

Rael approached the table from behind and coughed.

All four of them turned toward him instantly.

Indra’s body stiffened, since he was clearly still intimidated by Rael.

But as for Astaroth and the others, they were pretty calm.

“Look who decided to show up after a while. Let me guess, you went ahead and did those trials?” Astaroth asked.

Rael shrugged.

“It took a bit longer than I expected, but yeah. I’m done with them, and all I’m going to say is that you won’t enjoy them very much.”

“…What did you do?” Astaroth asked. “Did you mess with that being or something?”

It seemed like Astaroth had read him like a book.

Though…

“It wasn’t my fault. He was just way too cranky. Also, he didn’t like how I became the Dragon God, and after I gave him a piece of my mind, he just sent me back here and said that if I wanted to fix the problems, I’d need to beat the shit out of him first.”

Every single person at the table just stared at Rael with widened eyes, until Indra decided to speak up.

“P-Pardon me, but you don’t mean Sir Braum, right? Did you meet someone else?”

“Braum? Yeah. That’s the one,” Rael replied, smiling like a saint.

And that only made the others even more concerned about him.

Even so, Astaroth was the first to get over it, since he knew just how abnormal Rael was.

Both in mind, and, well…

“You’re an idiot.”

“Sure.”

“No. I mean seriously. You’re an idiot,” Astaroth repeated. “You pretty much just made an enemy out of that guy. You’re screwed, and I mean this kindly. He’s as powerful as the Higher Gods, if not more.”

Rael just shrugged and brushed it off.

Honestly, he knew how this conversation would proceed, so Rael just raised his hand and stopped it right there.

“If you’re going to keep calling me an idiot and ask about Braum, then you can gently fuck off. By that, I mean shut up. What happened after I left?”

Astaroth was about to reply, but Victoria was the one to do so instead.

“We came to an arrangement of sorts.”

“Elaborate?”

She nodded.

“After you left, there were some lingering troubles. For one, we did not become Dragon Gods legitimately. It wasn’t through earning the respect of those around us, but through intimidation.”

That’s fair.

And Rael was a bit sorry about that.

But had he not done it, they would’ve needed to wait a year before getting any sort of answer.

“So what? Did you all talk it out?”

She nodded once again.

“We did. Rain and Indra agreed to make us Dragon Gods after we set our differences aside. In the end, we’re now actually Dragon Gods. Thanks for the help.”

At least someone appreciated him.

Unlike Astaroth…

Rael had the urge to call him Burger again, but he refrained.

After all, he was now starting a new life of sorts, so Rael didn’t want to bring up the past.

Well, not yet.

“Rael, is it?” Indra said, meeting his gaze. “Do you mind if we spar sometime?”

Rael stared back at him for a moment, then simply shrugged.

“Why not. I’ll probably be coming around here often with my kid if all goes well. Astaroth’s here too, so yeah. If you come around every now and again, I can beat you up a few times.”

Indra let out a chuckle and nodded.

Just then, he got a bonk from his wife, who then glared at Rael.

“You should learn restraint, or you might not survive in the future.”

“Hm? Well, I think I’ve pretty much pissed off every single person I could, so learning restraint now isn’t very valuable. Either way, if you finished your tea party, you know where the door is.”

Although there were no doors, as the whole mountain was pretty much destroyed, Rael got his point across anyway.

And so, not wanting to argue, Indra and his wife stood up, said their goodbyes to Astaroth and Victoria, then finally flew away.

Yet when they left, Rael spotted a single red flower on Indra’s seat which smelled really nice.

Rael chuckled at the sight, picked up the flower, and then placed it in the center of the table after making sure it wasn’t some kind of tracking or listening chip.

“Seems like you’re preparing to leave. Is it time to say goodbye for us as well?” Astaroth asked.

“Missing me already?” Rael replied with a cheeky grin. “My… I didn’t know you felt that way about me.”

A disgusted look appeared on Astaroth’s face.

“Don’t do that ever again.”

“My bad.”

Astaroth let out a chuckle, then gave Rael the middle finger.

“You can make your merry way now. I got you added to my friend list, so I’ll invite you to the wedding.”

Rael raised a brow.

“Right… I kind of forgot you’re going to get married. I guess there’ll be little Burgers running around soon.”

“…”

It looked like Astaroth wanted to strangle Rael and toss him into a pit of lava.

Even so, Rael just smiled and eventually turned around.

He swung his hand downward, and a small portal appeared, leading toward Celestara.

Nyx was the first to go through, whereas Rael stuck around for a few moments and waved at Astaroth, who didn’t wave back.

Rael always knew Astaroth was a tsundere.

Hehe.

Rael took a deep breath, and with a determined expression on his face, he finally stepped through the portal, arriving back in Celestara.
