Chapter 714: A Very~ Bad Feeling
Chapter 714: A Very~ Bad Feeling
“The king has summoned you…?”
The two guards deadpanned.
“Why would our king do that? You shouldn’t even be here, you half-breed bastard.”
Ouch.
Rael felt like his tiny heart had shattered into a million pieces hearing the insults of these people he didn’t even know.
Or something.
Rather, he was a little puzzled as to how these idiots didn’t know their king had summoned someone.
Anyhow…
Rael closed his eyes for a brief moment and entered the Prophetic Realm.
Stopping time, Rael walked past the guards and down the path.
There was an occasional training yard at the base of the mountain, as well as plenty of caves with all sorts of treasures stashed inside.
A bit higher up was the market, where there were modern buildings scattered around and several dozen convenience stores.
He was a little surprised they managed to put something like that in a mountain, but since the foundation seemed extremely durable and they even had power outlets.
Safe to say, these guys were far more advanced than the Rock Dragon tribe.
Though Rael was also a little surprised these dragons used so many human inventions.
He half expected there to be more fancy draconic inventions.
[They like minimalistic inventions. Humans tend to make minimalistic, very practical things,] Burger chimed in. [Obviously, us dragons are smarter and superior to humans, but our ideas are very broad. If we try to make a microwave, we would make something that had a button to obliterate a normal world.]
Sounds to me like you guys are idiots, Rael said with a hum.
[Idiots? We could turn your brain into dragon fries and feed them to the dogs, and you wouldn’t even notice,] Burger retorted angrily.
Dragon fries…? French fries? Wow… You really are ridiculous.
Burger began throwing all sorts of insults and started projecting his superiority complex, while on the other hand, Rael was focused on the path ahead.
Markets, residential areas, playgrounds, fighting rings, and finally, at the very end of the pathway was a massive opening in the golden mountains, and up ahead, Rael saw a massive throne with a single giant dragon resting on it.
The dragon’s strength was definitely on another level, as Rael felt oppressed just staring at him.
Just then, the dragon raised its head and glanced over at Rael, making him freeze for a moment.
“You can move?” Rael mused and immediately inspected the dragon.
—Victoria, The Fate Dragon King [Grade 10 Apocalypse Class | Level 1,000,000] – Vitality: Tier 100 (MAX) [100% / 100% HP]
As expected, the Fate Dragon King was strong.
But…
The Fate Dragon King was a woman?
“Do you know why I have summoned you?” Victoria asked, her voice cold.
Rael tried to tinker around with the Prophetic Realm for a little while longer, but after realizing that she could speak to and see him no matter what, he gave up on it.
“Maybe because I’m handsome?”
Her gaze turned even colder.
It was as if she was trying to stare a hole straight through Rael’s skull.
Though Rael also felt like she was trying to pry into his mind.
She failed, of course.
But he felt strands of some kind of weird mana gathering behind him, wrapping around his feet, and draining something out of him.
Puzzled, Rael focused on that mana, and to his surprise, he realized that his probabilities were being sucked away.
It was an interesting technique, but once Rael figured out how it worked, all he needed to do was envelop that weird mana with his own mana and push it away.
Since he practically had an infinite amount, pushing it away wasn’t difficult, and soon enough, the probabilities that were stolen from him quickly regenerated.
Then, he glanced back at Victoria and nodded.
“Can you acknowledge me? I need to reach Tier 5 in my Dragon Heart. Pretty please?”
[This is like taking a shit on the Dragon King’s doorstep and then asking them to clean it. You might be a little brain-damaged, Rael,] Burger said.
Rael’s brows twitched.
Just then, Rael closed his eyes and found Burger’s presence.
And then, without waiting for even a single moment, Rael forcefully grabbed Burger’s soul and pulled him outside.
A massive black dragon soon appeared inside the Prophetic Realm, looking confused as he glanced around.
He had small sunglasses and even a baseball cap on his head.
Once he finally realized what was happening, he glared down at Rael.
“What do you think you’re doing, bastard? Do you think I wanted to be revealed?”
Rael shrugged as he admired Burger’s form.
This was the first time he actually saw Burger, and honestly… he did seem pretty powerful and intimidating.
But still, the one most surprised was none other than Victoria.
“A-A Soul Dragon? How are you still alive?”
Burger turned to Victoria and scoffed.
“Have you ever heard of secrets, woman? Mind your damn business.”
Before either Victoria or Rael could say a word, Burger scoffed and suddenly vanished.
Then, he reappeared back inside Rael’s Mind Realm.
[I was taking a shower, bastard. You almost embarrassed me in front of a beautiful woman,] Burger complained.
You take showers with sunglasses and baseball caps? Are you special? Rael asked, puzzled.
[Hah? You jest. Honestly, why do I even bother with you? See you in a few minutes. I need to finish my shower. If you pull me out again, I’m going to flash the whole Fate Dragon tribe.]
With those words, Burger cut the connection, leaving a stunned Rael standing in front of the Fate Dragon King.
Or Queen?
Either or…
“My bad. He was acting a little naughty. Anyhow, about the acknowledgement. Can you do it? I’ll pay you handsomely.”
However, Victoria’s gaze seemed unfocused.
Not only that, Rael spotted a faint red hue on the tips of her ears.
He immediately got a bad feeling about this.
And when she finally met his gaze, his bad feeling was confirmed.
“Could you reveal that Soul Dragon once again? I wish to speak with him.”
“…”
Burger… Put on some clothes.
