[Don’t you dare!] Burger’s voice thundered.
Rael let out a sigh.
Dude. You’re dead, aren’t you? Just pop on out, meet your fan, and go back to the shower? But now that I think about it… You’re having a shower in my head? With whose money are you using that water?

A look of understanding appeared on her face as she ultimately nodded, then settled down on her throne.

“So he’s into men…”
In the blink of an eye, the figure of a pitch black dragon appeared in front of the two of them.
The dragon was none other than Burger.
His cap and glasses were off, and it almost seemed like his scales were a little shinier.
Burger was clearly pissed, but he maintained his composure as he glanced over to Victoria and finally spoke.
“Don’t mind the little imp. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
“Really…?” Victoria met his gaze. “Then, are you not into men?”
Burger’s brow twitched.
“I’m into beautiful women much like yourself. Even better if they are dragons.”
Victoria let out a chuckle, and then immediately turned into her humanoid form.
She had long golden hair and beautiful golden eyes.
She was like a beautiful goddess.
Even Rael couldn’t take his eyes off her until Burger covered him with his tail.
That was when Burger’s form suddenly flickered, and just then, he began shrinking.
Within just a few seconds, he turned into a lean yet toned figure with loose robes and an 8-pack.
He had long black hair and deep silver eyes.
Honestly, while Rael didn’t exactly swing that kind of way, he could admit Burger was pretty handsome.
But clearly, he was also trying to show off.
“Victoria, was it? For what reason did you wish to meet me?” Burger asked.
A faint smile appeared on Victoria’s face.
“I merely wanted to meet someone from an ancient race such as yours. Ever since your race had gone extinct alongside the others, everyone speculated that there might be some remnants still alive. I just never expected that speculation to be true.”
“Is that so…” Burger mumbled.
Even though what she said was the truth, there was a reason why he managed to survive while the rest of his race didn’t.
He had run away from the Shattering after getting his ass kicked.
The Colorless Goddess had said as much anyway.
But buried history was meant to be buried.
And since neither Rael nor Burger had brought it up, the conversation continued with Burger as someone who had actually survived.
“Hahaha. So you’re a fan, then? I never expected the Fate Dragons to have such thoughts toward me. I always thought you hated the Soul Dragons since we can bypass your Prophetic Realms.”
“That’s in the past,” Victoria replied with a wave. “We’ve come to respect your race since they were the only ones who could do that. Regardless of that, since you’re here now, would you like to become my sworn husband?”

“M-Marriage?” Burger stammered, then glanced back at Rael.
However, Rael avoided Burger’s gaze.
After all, Rael somehow managed to shift his marriage curse over to Burger.
“Hold on now…” Burger rubbed his forehead. “Did I hear that right? Woman, did you say you wanted to marry me?”
Victoria adjusted her body and slightly revealed her thighs.
“Did you not mention that I was beautiful?”
“That was a simple compliment,” Burger retorted.
“And I would have taken it as a compliment had I not been in a phase where I’m desperately searching for a competent husband,” Victoria replied.
After a brief pause, she continued:
“I have done several trials, but none came even close to competent. You, on the other hand, are not only handsome, but you also seem incredibly powerful. Maybe even a little more powerful than I am.”
Honestly, Rael had half expected this to be some romantic interest, but it seemed like it was purely political.
Though even if Burger knew that much, he still seemed kind of interested.
Odds were, he was thinking with his lower brain rather than the brain that was upstairs.
“I’m a little interested,” Burger said.
Victoria’s expression lit up for a moment.
But right as she was about to speak, Burger interrupted her.
“But I am partially alive. I’m a Spirit now. A Spirit King, rather. Even if I wanted to marry you, I don’t think I’d be able to perform any husband duties.”
Hearing that, Victoria tilted her head slightly.
“Don’t I just need to pay a visit to the Spirit Realm and bring back your physical body from there?”
“Uhh… Yes?”
Burger blinked several times.
“But invading the Spirit Realm is the same as invading the Dragon Realm. Every spirit would rise against you, and if I were to leave, I would be weakened for a very long time.”
She stared at him for a moment, then slightly smiled before turning to Rael.
“You said you wanted my acknowledgement, yes?”

“I’ll acknowledge you if you help me break this Soul Dragon out of the Spirit Realm.”
