Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 698: Hospital Director

Capítulo 698: Hospital Director

Rael crouched down, pried kid Rael’s mouth open, and stuffed the pill inside.

Then, by unfreezing time for kid Rael for a brief moment, he allowed him to swallow the pill.

When everything was said and done, Rael quickly retraced his steps and walked out of the apartment.

And the moment he unfroze time completely, the door slammed shut in his face.

Yet Anna seemed to catch on to what he was doing.

“Although I wasn’t able to move, I saw everything. Are you sure that’s wise?”

“Who knows? Around this time, I wanted to become an astronaut. If anything, at least this Rael can have a better life than me,” Rael replied.

Anna paused for a moment.

He was a little confused by her silence until he glanced over at her.

To his surprise, she was staring straight into his eyes.

Yet it seemed like she was staring into his soul instead.

“If you had the opportunity to restart your whole life… And I’m talking about your current life, the one where you experienced love and loss. If you could go back and fix it all, would you?”

Hmm…

Rael thought about it for a moment, then shook his head.

“I wouldn’t change a thing.”

After all, one little change would drive him away from Zafira and Lilith.

Gaia and the others too.

So even after everything he experienced, if time were to somehow turn back, he would most likely do everything the same.

“I see… In that case, if you want this Rael to have a nice life, there’s one more thing you have to do, isn’t that right?” Anna said, implying a very clear meaning.

“Yep. Let’s pay a visit to the hospital.”

With those words, Rael and Anna vanished, reappearing in front of the hospital.

Around this time, the hospital director was still fairly new, but if Rael had to guess, he was already doing some terrible and shady things.

So with that in mind, Rael closed his eyes and quickly located the hospital director.

Then, he also located his child, his wife, and any other living relative Rael could remember.

Then, without a single ounce of remorse, Rael exerted some of his mana, and before long, the heads of every single person he targeted exploded.

He immediately exhaled a relieved breath.

“May I suggest we find someone who’s capable of filling the hospital director’s role?” Anna asked.

Rael tilted his head.

“I don’t have anyone in mind.”

“But I do,” Anna corrected. “There is a certain someone who, despite his young age, is very capable.”

Hearing that, Rael paused for a brief moment.

Then, his eyes widened.

“Are you talking about Julian?”

Julian was the companion Rael had ventured with in the Memory Record.

And although he looked like a toddler, he was actually the same age as them.

Not only that, he was very capable in medicine.

But was it even legal…?

No.

Who really gave a shit?

Rael closed his eyes again and tried to find Julian.

To his genuine surprise, he was in the same hospital as the previous hospital director.

More importantly, he was in the middle of surgery at the moment.

“…”

Okay.

So he wasn’t an expert.

But he was also sure that a ten-year-old shouldn’t be doing brain surgery.

So legal or not, he was becoming the next hospital director.

Definitely.

So Rael simply landed atop the rooftop of the hospital and waited patiently.

Hours passed swiftly.

Before long, it became dark.

And at the same time, Julian was finally done with the brain surgery.

He was escorted by the other doctors into a private room, where he then went on to vomit all over the floor.

Rael was confused by the sight.

But when he noticed Julian’s trembling hands, he quickly came up with a few theories.

Could it be that Julian was afraid of blood?

It didn’t look that way after the successful brain surgery.

“Hmm…”

“It seems like he’s still a kid at heart,” Anna pointed out.

Rael turned to her, and she continued:

“No matter the tough and mature exterior… It is inevitable that cracks start to form in your maturity over time. Those cracks most likely came in the form of high-stress situations.”

So he might not be afraid of blood, huh.

Either way, it didn’t matter much.

Rael slashed the space in front of him and then reappeared in the same room as Julian.

He was still vomiting all over the floor, but even so, Rael coughed once, causing Julian’s whole body to abruptly stiffen.

He turned his head slightly, only to see Rael looking down at him.

Startled, Julian quickly began wiping his vomit, while also making sure to put on his professional expression.

Finally, once he finished wiping everything off, he stared at Rael with a cold look.

“To what do I owe this visit?”

Hearing him speak so seriously with a squeaky voice was oddly comedic.

Rael was kind of trying his best to hold back from bursting into laughter.

Anyhow…

“Wanna become the hospital director?” Rael offered.

Julian continued staring at him suspiciously.

“Who are you?”

“I’m somebody, I guess. I just need a yes or no answer from you,” Rael replied.

“Then I refuse,” Julian said. “There’s already a capable hospital director running this whole place. I do not wish to intrude with my immaturity.”

“Right… Well, that hospital director is dead. You’ll find out about it once someone goes to check on his office.”

Hearing that, Julian froze for a moment.

Rael smiled, then slashed the space again, revealing a pocket for Julian to glance through to the other side.

The hospital director was slumped over the table with his head blown off.

Though of course, Rael wasn’t that sadistic to show the whole scene fully, so he made sure to hide the head and only show the blood.

But it was almost like, instead of the death, Julian was more confused by the clear usage of mana Rael had just displayed.

“I… Who are you, really…?”
