Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 627: Getting Rocketed

Chapter 627: Getting Rocketed

Being wet and shot at wasn’t the most fun activity.

He would know, since even after he thought he’d lost them, the players were still thoroughly on his ass, shooting him with machine guns and even throwing poisonous darts at him.

Honestly, he was really regretting playing this game, since there was no way this was fun for anyone.

I’ll have to have a little chat with this world’s government after this. I need some noob lobbies, not this special ops bullshit.

Nonetheless, it only took Rael a few minutes of swimming to reach the giant lake.

When he resurfaced, thankfully, there weren’t any people around.

They probably thought he couldn’t hold his breath for that long, so they searched closer to the stream.

Alas, a few shots still came flying at him, but they were all just random bullets.

Taking it as his chance to get out of here, Rael swam to shore, and the moment he did, a map appeared in the corner of his vision.

There was a toxic zone closing in, and thankfully, he was in the circle where it was safe.

As for the number of players alive…

There were 221.

…215.

Someone was really massacring these people, and his guess was that it was probably Vatyra.

Smiling to himself, Rael went ahead and snuck into the bushes, then ran into a few buildings that weren’t looted.

He got himself some nice gear.

A desert eagle and even a helmet.

As confident as he was though, Rael proceeded to hole up in the corner of the room and wait.

One zone, two zones… eventually, he was in one of the final zones.

The players dwindled down from hundreds to merely 55.

It was still a lot considering the last circle wasn’t that large.

And naturally, it didn’t take long for Rael to hear some footsteps.

They roamed around the house he had looted and eventually entered his room.

Rael was hiding behind a desk, and yet whoever was in front of him was walking straight at him.

It seemed like he couldn’t camp like a total noob for any longer.

So instead, Rael aimed his desert eagle at the desk, and when the footsteps were just a few inches away from it, Rael unloaded his whole magazine.

[Player killed!]

[Player killed!]

[Player killed!]

[Player killed!]

[Player killed!]

To his surprise, there was more than one player.

He actually killed five at once.

But naturally, the desert eagle was way too loud.

He wouldn’t be surprised if the whole place got swarmed within just a few minutes.

Therefore, he immediately kicked the table and got out of cover.

Sadly for Rael, there were a couple of people waiting for him in the doorframe, their guns aimed at him.

Rael didn’t hesitate to pull out his umbrella and block every attack, all the while running toward the window.

He jumped straight through the window, and while in midair, he aimed his desert eagle at the players and unloaded yet another magazine.

However…

He didn’t hit anyone.

It was a lot simpler in movies.

Since he was on the second floor of the building, the fall hurt a little, and it felt like he had sprained his ankle.

Thankfully, he had some bandages, and since this was just a game, putting them over his foot was enough to heal the sprain.

Shots resounded from all around him, but they weren’t even aimed at him.

Instead, they were aimed at a red haired woman who was in the sky with a jetpack.

She twirled an umbrella around to block all the bullets, and with her free hand, she unleashed a barrage of explosives.

Somehow, she got her hands on an automatic bazooka.

It was a little too overpowered.

And once again, Rael found himself in a tight spot as Vatyra eventually spotted him.

Her grin widened even further when she aimed the bazooka at him and then unleashed the explosives.

Rael’s expression soured as he nimbly kicked off the ground, avoiding the first few blasts.

But Vatyra pre-fired him.

The moment he jumped in the air, an explosive shell was already right in front of his face.

And in this case, no matter what he did, he couldn’t block it.

But right as he let out a sigh and prepared to accept his fate, a bullet came from the side, detonating the explosive just before it could reach him.

His face was scorched, but he was also blasted back into a nearby lake.

He was still alive somehow, but even if he couldn’t see his HP, he knew he was very, very low.

Therefore, he used the remainder of his bandages to heal himself, and then he resurfaced.

To his surprise, there was someone shooting a minigun at Vatyra.

All the while, she flew around dodging all the projectiles, until finally, one of them hit her jetpack, causing her to crash into the ground.

Rael, like the weasel that he was, decided to use that opportunity to dash through the surroundings and arrive in front of the wounded Vatyra.

She spotted him too and aimed her bazooka at him, but sadly for her, he was faster.

And so, the moment he pulled the trigger, the bullet zipped through the air and tore straight through her forehead.

[Player killed!]

Just like that, he managed to get rid of Vatyra.

But he couldn’t relax just yet as he still had to deal with the player with the minigun.

Yet as the minigunner’s figure flashed in the corner of his vision, he couldn’t help but sigh.

It was Lilith.

She was geared up in legendary gear, and it seemed like no matter where he shot her, she’d be able to block it.

Lilith’s gaze landed on him too.

She gave him a quick wave and then blew a kiss in the air.

Just then, Rael raised his umbrella, but it was already too late as the minigun bullets tore straight through it and riddled his body with holes.

And soon enough, his vision faded to black.

[You have been killed!]
