The landing was much harder than it looked.
In fact, he landed so uncomfortably that he bruised his forehead.
But him skidding across the ground like an idiot managed to lower the guards of a few players.
So much so that the ones who landed did not draw their weapons immediately.
Instead, they just stared at him with a curious look.
But their curiosity only lasted for a moment, as in the next, tens of players pulled out their pistols and began firing at Rael.
Of course, he was not a total sitting duck as he dashed behind cover.
He was not hit even once, but clearly, when the rest of the hundred players landed, he would be in some serious trouble.
It also did not help that these walls were made of literal cardboard.
Bullets came flying through them, and some even nearly hit him.
He had to keep moving to dodge the bullets, and eventually, he found a staircase leading upward.
Rael jumped up the staircase, then, seeing that it led even higher up, he did so again and again.
His agility was definitely higher than it should be for any normal human playing this game, but sadly, none of his actual abilities transferred.
He was like a regular super soldier.
Even so, with him jumping from one floor to another, Rael eventually stumbled upon a purple chest.
His gacha senses were tingling, and when he approached the chest and opened it, he got a purple weapon.
An epic weapon.
Sadly for him, that weapon was an umbrella.
“…”
What am I supposed to do with this? It’s not even raining, Rael thought with a sigh. Welp… When life gives you lemons… Hm?
He quickly realized that the whole umbrella was made from some dense metal.
That also meant he could use it as a shield.
Definitely the super soldier special now.
It even had a pointy tip when the umbrella was unfurled.
That meant he could even use it to stab people, or just straight up shoot them behind cover.
Maybe this was more overpowered than he had expected.
With his will reignited, Rael quickly jumped down one flight of stairs after another.
Eventually, he arrived at the very bottom and spotted dozens of players gathered around, all discussing some sort of strategies.
Some of them had swords while others were still using the same basic pistols.
However, the one thing they had in common was the fact that they all had just spotted Rael.
And of course, when that happened, they soon unleashed a barrage of bullets his way.
However, Rael was prepared this time around as he went into one of the corners of the room and hid behind his umbrella.
It was just as he thought.
No bullets could get past it.
Even more surprisingly, every bullet shot was reflected back at the shooter, and because of that…

He was actually killing them.
Obviously, it only took a few seconds for the others to realize what was happening, and so, they stopped.
Or so he thought.
All of a sudden, a shot resounded, but it did not hit his umbrella.
Instead, it ricocheted off the ground and straight into his thigh.
Rael was surprised by the accuracy, and seeing him wince, the players naturally started repeating what one of the players had just done.
Rael tried hiding his lower body, but then the shots came from above, ricocheting straight into his shoulders.
Knowing that this was a dead end and these people were actually the real deal, Rael quickly shot off the ground and through the wall behind him.
He created a temporary smoke screen, but sadly for him, the players unloaded a bunch of bullets his way.
Some were even waiting on the other side of the wall.
However, Rael was not completely hopeless.
With injuries stacking up, Rael went ahead and used the tip of his umbrella to slice the neck of one player.
[Player killed!]
He was about to do it to the player beside him, but sadly for Rael, that player shot at the top of the umbrella.
Although the bullet was reflected, it was not reflected at the player.
More importantly, because of the angle at which the player shot, Rael was forced to lower his umbrella, and he opened his guard up.
The player smirked and aimed his pistol at Rael.
And that was when Rael pulled out his pistol at a speed that surprised even himself.
Then, without hesitating for even a single second, he put a bullet straight through the player’s head, killing him instantly.
[Player killed!]
“Jeez…”
These people were talented.
But that also meant he was not that helpless, and he could actually deal with some special ops.
Hehe.
I’m getting excited for something like this… Vatyra’s running around with a minigun and killing everyone. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lilith is doing the same, Rael thought with a slight smile.
And so, by kicking off the ground again, he ran away.
The players who were waiting there continued to shoot at him, but since he placed his umbrella behind him, most of their bullets were redirected.
As for the ones that hit him, he barely felt them.
Seeing a river right in front of him, Rael did not hesitate to jump inside.
After kicking his feet a couple of times, he arrived at the very bottom of the river.
Bullets came flying, and although they were fast, the water greatly slowed them down.
Welp… This should do for now, Rael thought.
Some players jumped in after him, but it was a little difficult to see in the water.
Therefore, while still at the very bottom of the river, Rael began swimming away toward the part where there was the most water.
He knew that he would most likely be surrounded when he resurfaced, but from high up, he knew that there was a single portion of this river that led to a giant lake.
And that was precisely where Rael was heading right now.
