Chapter 4155: What Do You Mean?
Chapter 4155: What Do You Mean?
"How did you find her there?" Roan asked.
Soltrex thought they would ask that. "The main reason is the protection around it."
The images being displayed changed. Now, the Reincarnation Path entrance disappeared, and in its place, enormous formations could be seen, buildings followed, and many experts surrounded it.
That recording was made from the outside, quite far away on top of that. Judging by the video, it was obvious that the Reincarnation Path of the Werdlem Universe was bigger than any other they had seen. It probably had a circumference of thousands of kilometers. Yet, they couldn’t see it as the formations, buildings, and such covered it completely.
"As you can see, this is the Reincarnation Path today. Since the Werdlem Empire has no Reincarnation, why would you build such an apparatus to protect it? To prevent Soul Devils from appearing? That’s kinda overkill in my opinion," Soltrex explained.
"Of course, that’s not the only reason," and he continued. "After checking the information of the surrounding area, which was quite well hidden, Aurethra’s side effects stood out. Accelerated growth, cycles out of place, those things we mentioned before. Unless there is another Aurethra there, it has to be the right place."
Roan nodded slightly. "You first showed us the Reincarnation Path before all this protection was put in place. Is this something recent?"
"Yes," Soltrex confirmed. "To be more specific, it began to appear right after you guys fled the Imperial Dimensional Realm. That’s why it is still possible to find records of how this place looked before that."
[It is pretty obvious that the Werdlem Empire tried to wipe out as much information from the Werdlem Network as possible, though,] Sister Orb said.
"She is right," and Soltrex agreed. "That makes it even more obvious that this is the place we are looking for."
Rean looked at Roan. "A trap?"
Roan nodded. "Likely."
Yet, Soltrex shook his head. "It is not a trap. I can guarantee she is inside the Reincarnation Path of this Universe."
"That’s not what I meant," Roan corrected. "What I meant is that this place was modified to such an extent to show us that Aurethra is really there. It is inviting us inside while trying to make it look like it is trying to erase its existence from the records. Since we are releasing all the Primordial Beasts, we must go there sooner or later, and they are ready for us."
"I see..." Soltrex couldn’t deny that possibility. "You are most likely right, too."
Rean shrugged. "Well, the next plan of action is quite obvious. Have Hick cast a boundary around our cultivation, capture someone who works inside, fake their identity, and infiltrate."
Roan narrowed his eyes. "This won’t be that easy this time."

Just a few weeks ago, in the Werdlem Main Imperial Palace...
A woman stood in front of Soza, her expression not looking very good. However, even worse than that was Soza. He had just heard something he didn’t expect. "What do you mean their Werdlem IDs were fake?"
If the twins’ group were here, they would have recognized this woman straight away. It was Caladara, the one who let them go back to the A1 Universe. "I met them in A1, and I confirmed that their identities were fake when I had the chance to check them up close. There is no doubt about it. They are experts from outside the Werdlem Universe."
Soza was fuming. "And why the hell hadn’t you reported straight away?!"
Caladara wasn’t afraid of Soza. The two of them are experts who surpassed the Celestial Realm. The difference was that Soza lived in the Werdlem Empire, while Caladara lived in the Celestial Plane.
Of course, she still recognized him as the Emperor of the Werdlem Empire and her superior. The origin of the Werdlem Empire’s Foothold in the Celestial Plane was here, after all. "Because I thought someone of you was involved in this. What is a Fake Werdlem Signature ID? It is something that can only be created if you have direct access to the Werdlem System itself."
Soza calmed down when he heard that. He understood the gravity of the situation. "You should still have reported it."
"My plan was to lure the person who covered their outsider traits out. Since it was someone capable of creating a Fake Werdlem ID for them, it had to be someone with an authority comparable to yours," she explained. "Yet, even though I left my mark behind on them, this guy never appeared. I kept waiting in the Celestial Plane, certain that it would happen sooner or later. But then... my mark was removed, and no one came to look for me."
That’s because the one who removed the mark was actually Sister Orb with the system’s help. This expert that Caladara believed to be betraying the Werdlem Empire didn’t really exist... Well, there was Victor, but he had nothing to do with the creation of Fake Werdlem IDs. It was all Sister Orb and the System.
Soza narrowed his eyes. Then, he took out his CD and made a call. A few minutes later, another woman was brought to the throne room. It was Galita.
She had appeared once before. She was the one in charge of the facility that controls the various affairs of the Werdlem Empire as a whole. She was one of the very few experts in the Werdlem Empire with the necessary authority to create a Fake ID in the Werdlem System. "I came as fast as I could, Senior Soza."
Soza looked at Caladara, who explained everything to Galita. Only then did Galita understand what had happened. "This... Who would make a Fake ID? That would be suicide! There are only five people with such access in our system at the moment."
Soza knew that. "Tell me something I don’t know. Can you find out who messed up with the system in the logs? Such an access must have left behind traces that could lead to the betrayer."
Galita quickly nodded and took out her CD. She used her own authority and went through the logs of the access to the Werdlem Empire’s ID processes. As she said, only five people could access this, and she was one of them. And yet... "S-Senior Soza... are you sure about this fake ID thing?"
Soza and especially Caladara looked puzzled. "What do you mean?"
