Chapter 4154: Aurethra’s Location
Chapter 4154: Aurethra’s Location
*Vup!*
Suddenly, the real Erwora appeared in Rean’s hand. She had been sleeping for five years since Rean entered the Great Void Spaceship. "Anyway, I’m leaving her in the toilet. We are leaving."
"Really?" Kentucky stopped laughing, looking at Rean. "But she will not understand anything. It is probably that she will report what just happened."
"I doubt it," Roan also calmed down. "She has kids, and even if she didn’t, she would understand she was used by someone to get inside the Werdlem Universe. For her own family’s good, she won’t talk about it to anyone, maybe just her husband. Of course, I’m not 100% sure, but that’s likely what will happen."
"It doesn’t matter," Rean commented. "Who will be able to tell that it was us who used her? Even if we are found out, we are already in the Werdlem Universe, so it doesn’t matter that much either."
"Why not simply wake her up and make a deal?" Celis asked.
"Too much work already," Rean said. He wanted nothing more than to be gone from there.
*Zush!*
Rean appeared inside the toilet again, just in time to hear Jorde knocking on the door. "Erwora, are you okay? Do you want to tell me something?"
Rean’s mouth twitched. Now the guy thinks his wife is meeting someone else. "I’ll be out in a second."
Finally, Rean sent a wave of Light Element into Erwora’s forehead, which was enough to wake her up. As she opened her eyes, Rean retrieved all his Anti-Divine Sense Runes, left her with a Spatial Ring packed with the Divine Stones of his wine sales, and vanished from there.
"Ah!" Erwora immediately got up, looking around in confusion. "My... toilet?"
She still remembers the last moments in the Great Void Ship. She was making her way back to her post when she suddenly felt dizzy. After that, everything went black. And now, she woke up inside her toilet.
Jorde knocks again. "Are you sure everything is okay?"
Erwora quickly opens the toilet door, seeing her husband there. "Jorde! What are you doing here? No, first of all, how the hell did I get back here?"
---
At the city gate, Rean used a fake ID and got out, quickly flying away from Plorindel. Then, when he got far enough, he opened a Spatial Gate and disappeared.
As he travelled, he couldn’t help but sigh. "I truly didn’t expect a husband at all. Because of that, I couldn’t take the Great Void Shifter that would bring us to where Drofei lives."
Roan didn’t seem to mind. "It matters not. We are here for Aurethra, not Drofei. Anyway, now that we are here, we can have Soltrex and Sister Orb work on finding where Aurethra is."
Soltrex thought the same, already diving into the Werdlem Network. "This is a lot better. There are pretty much no restrictions when accessing from inside the Werdlem Universe."
[Do as you please. I’ll cover any tracks leading to us.] Sister Orb did her part too.
At some point, Rean returned to the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm and took the chance to ask Hick and Nyxara. "By the way, what can we expect from Aurethra?"
"She is pretty normal," Nyxara was the first to answer. "Among the Primordial Demon Beasts, she is likely the most calm, but that doesn’t mean she is cold. It will feel more like you are talking to any random lady that you met by coincidence in the supermarket."
Hick agreed. "If anything, it feels quite good to talk to her. I guess it makes sense, as she sees everything differently from us?"
"Different?" Kentucky’s curiosity was piqued.
"Yes," Hick thought about her. "She is... was the Pillar of Recurrence. In her eyes, everything is new and old at the same time. Everything begins anew, everything ends. The reincarnation paths that the Universes automatically create, for example, were due to her existence. Of course, that is no longer the case."
Rean understood. "Basically, she is the cycle of all matter."
"Indeed," Nyxara liked Rean’s way of putting it. "Cycles exist because she existed at the start with us. It goes down to the most simplistic things. A kid building a sandcastle on the beach, which ultimately is destroyed by the high tide later that day. It is all her. When we say the way she sees the world is different, it is not that her eyes are different. It is more of a philosophical matter."
"Sounds kinda boring..." Kentucky commented.
"Hehe!" Nyxara didn’t deny that. "I guess that would be a very good description of her as well."
"Nyxara, is Aurethra a battle-type Primordial Beast like you?" Roan was the one to ask this time.
Nyxara thought for a moment. "It is hard to say in which category she finds herself. Support? She can make things accelerate around her, like the story of kids growing faster in their mothers’ wombs we told you before, just because she was close by. Defense? She can force an attack to reach the end of its cycle before it should. Attack? She can send a little spark in your direction, but by the time it hits you, it is already a heaven-defying lightning bolt. Maybe saying that she is an all-rounder is the best description. She is not the best at anything, but can perform on all sides quite well. Jack of all trades?"
Hick shook his head. "We’d better not waste our time considering Aurethra as a combat addition."
Nyxara quickly nodded. "Oh, right. There is that too."
"What?" Roan asked back.
"She hates getting involved in battles. Even back when we came to attack the Werdlem Universe, she didn’t get involved directly. Had it not been an order from whatever Default is connected to, she wouldn’t have even come," Nyxara explained.
They heard from Hick how Default was the one to pass the orders that the Primordial Beasts couldn’t ignore, but that those orders were not given by Default himself, that he was more like a bridge for those orders instead.
"Anyway, once we manage to get Aurethra free, don’t expect anything from her if it is related to battles," Hick concluded.
Roan nodded. It was good to know more about it.
[Guys, we think we found her,] Sister Orb suddenly said.
Soltrex then came forward and showed what he found in the Werdlem Network of the Werdlem Universe.
"Hum?" Rean looked at that. "The underworld? Well, not a real underworld, of course. The Werdlem Universe is like the Rank A Universes. The different realms are not separated. Still, that’s the underworld, or what should have been the underworld, isn’t it?"
Soltrex confirmed. "Yes. As for her specific location, it is here." Then, he approached the images.
"The Reincarnation Path..." Roan recognized it immediately.
There is no such thing as reincarnation in the Werdlem Empire. The Reincarnation Paths exist in all universes, but they don’t reincarnate the dead souls who reach them. The Souls inside simply disappear, and new ones are created instead. As mentioned before, there is no recycling.
Now, Soltrex says that the Pillar of Recurrence is inside the Werdlem Universe’s Reincarnation Path. That hardly sounded like just a coincidence.
