Chapter 3821: Not too bad...
Chapter 3821: Not too bad...
Rean nodded and opened his CD, checking the information of the area with Xanfel’s ID in this private network. He was required to make several entries in that network every few hours, with the risk of punishment for every time he missed one.
After checking that, Rean took a look at the Quasar and then in another direction. He knew that in that direction, there was one of the Space-Time Realm experts who came to watch over this area.
The truth was that the area he and his batch of sixty Space-Time Realm experts were responsible for was a tiny one. A Galaxy was still something gigantic, after all. If you took just the region around the Quasar, you would probably find a few tens of thousands of experts, and that was just a drop in the ocean.
"That’s one of the three guys meant to share the surveillance duty with me in this area. His name is... Clian? Peak Stage Space-Time Realm. Yeah, that one will do just fine." Rean couldn’t help but smile.
How to make sure everyone was doing their part? Simple, you just have to have the areas each expert is watching to layer up and down with the areas of other experts. That way, if you left or they didn’t feel your Divine Sense, they would know you had left. You could denounce that expert through the network, and you would gain quite a big bonus at the end of your contract. So, everyone kinda watched each other very closely.
Rean cared about none of that, though. He left his position, flying straight to where Clian was doing his part. Their Divine Senses quickly found each other, which made Clian suspicious.
Soon, Rean appeared in front of Clian, and he was actually slightly happy since he could denounce Rean for leaving his post. "Hehe! You’d better have a good reason to be here. Not that it matters since I will gain my bonus anyway."
Yet, Rean had a terrible expression, as if he had just found his lifelong nemesis! "Hahaha! It’s you! It’s truly you! Clian, today, you won’t escape anymore! Pay your debt with your life!"
Immediately after, Fire Element gathered, and Rean attacked Clian out of nowhere!
’Flame Emperor Sword!’
Rean didn’t use his Light Element, let alone his laws. Red Lightning was not present either, as his sword, a real sword, came slashing down at Clian!
Clian was taken aback, but he definitely wasn’t unprepared. Seeing Rean coming at him like that, he immediately took out his spear and countered. "I don’t know what the fuck I did to you in the past, but you definitely wouldn’t be the first. Since you want to die, then I’ll help you!"
Immediately, a battle started, and it even caught the attention of a few of the experts watching over that area.
Explosions followed as both Rean and Clian used Fire Element, but Clian was the only one using Fire laws. Nonetheless, the fight was pretty even, and Clian was having to do his best to hold a tiny advantage. ’This fucker! How can he be this strong without using Fire Laws?!’𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Truth be told, Rean was really holding back. Let’s not forget that Rean could even fight a Peak Stage Divinity Realm if he truly took things seriously. That was all a pretense.
The battle continued, and they were ’inadvertently’ brought closer to the Quasar... As if! That went exactly as Rean planned!
Ququt arrived just a few seconds later after receiving the report of that fight from others in the area, and with him, a few Divinity Realm Experts. "What the hell are they doing?" He asked the guys around.
However, everyone shook their heads. No one had any idea as to why the fight started. Nonetheless, it was obvious to see the ’hatred’ in Xanfel’s face as he went ’all out’ to destroy Clian.
The Divinity Realm Experts understood and immediately acted to stop those two. However, in the last moment...
*Boom!*
An explosion of Fire Laws and Elements followed.
*Arrrghhhh!*
Rean was ’badly injured’ as his body shot in the Quasar’s direction like a comet! The battle had gotten too close to the Quasar, and no one would move there to catch Rean. Even the Divinity Realm Experts didn’t manage to get Rean in time before he fell into that thing.
In front of everyone’s eyes, Rean’s body burned as he screamed, but from the location of his injury, everyone understood. Rean’s Datian had been destroyed, and he had no power to fly back on his own. Soon, the screams stopped, and Rean’s body was completely pulverized by the Quasar.
---
Somewhere else, back in the headquarters of the Light of the Provider Religion, a Soul Flame suddenly extinguished. The name of the expert was quickly reported, and an investigation was launched.
Soon, everyone understood how Xanfel died. He fell into the Quasar after fighting another expert surveilling the area. Clian was asked why they began to fight, which Clian couldn’t understand. All Clian could tell was that Xanfel wanted revenge, but Clian didn’t know what he did.
Naturally, he fought back, and in that last exchange, he used his ultimate technique to defeat Xanfel. He was actually quite surprised it worked so well that it destroyed Xanfel’s Dantian. But then again, he was in the Peak Stage of the Space-Time Realm, while Xanfel was only in the Middle Stage. It was normal that he had an advantage.
Still, until the end when Xanfel was destroyed by the Quasar, Clian didn’t understand. ’Why didn’t Xanfel use his fire laws?’
However, he didn’t report that part. Everyone saw the battle, and he almost lost there and got severely injured himself. If he told others that Xanfel, who had a lower cultivation than him, nearly won without any laws, wouldn’t he be humiliated?
Thus, the case was closed as a personagem vendetta from Xanfel, and he died in the Quasar as a result of his failure. The fact that Xanfel’s Soul Flame was extinguished was an undeniable proof, even more than the visual proof presented as everyone watched Xanfel’s last moments.
Of course, that event still raised a few red flags, and several experts were dispatched to comb the area for the next few weeks, just in case.
---
Back inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, Foliana felt great as she disposed of Xanfel’s body with her Red Lightning. "Finally, he had the end he deserved!"
Roan completely ignored that and checked the outside. At the moment, Rean was concentrated on fending against the Quasar and using his Light Element to bend Light and Divine Senses.
Sure enough, Rean wasn’t killed, nor was his Dantian destroyed. After all, Rean didn’t have a Dantian to start with. Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and Celis’s entire bodies were their Dantians and Cores. Destroying the area where the Dantian had previously existed made no difference to them now.
"Not too bad..."
