Chapter 3087: Fighting With A Home Advantage
Chapter 3087: Fighting With A Home Advantage
The cavernous underground city trembled under the pressure of Lin Mu’s unleashed power. Lava surged like waves in an ocean, wrapping around him as if the molten depths themselves recognized him as their sovereign.
His Magma Asura form towered in the chamber like a war-god of fire and stone. Armor of jagged rock pulsed with streams of molten light, each vein of lava glowing like rivers of fury that threatened to consume everything in their path. Behind his back, the four magma-tentacles writhed like serpents, each one brandishing a weapon of devastation.
Two gripped his swords, their edges radiating a blinding sword intent that carved through the air with every swing. Another tentacle drew the Wonder Seeker bow, now transformed by the infernal environment into a weapon of cataclysm.
Lava coalesced into fiery arrows, each shot bursting like miniature suns as they rained down upon the Drowned Crescent Cultists. And with his true arms, Lin Mu fought the leader directly—massive claws of blackened stone and glowing magma crashing forward with explosive might.
The cult leader’s scarred face twisted with disbelief as he tried to parry Lin Mu’s onslaught. His crescent-shaped saber was infused with sinister energy of mixed fire and water, each slash cutting through the oppressive aura of sword intent that clung to the battlefield.
But Lin Mu’s fists hammered against his weapon like meteors, shattering the air with every impact. Sparks of molten fire erupted with every clash, searing the ground beneath them.
"Impossible... You should be burning! You should be ashes!" the cult leader roared, spitting blood as one of Lin Mu’s claws grazed his chest, tearing through layers of defensive qi skill.
Instead of answering, Lin Mu’s laugh boomed across the city. The molten air itself seemed to carry his mirth. "You fool—you gave me everything I needed! This lava, these flames—they’re mine now. You’ve turned this battlefield into my dominion!"
Not only did Lin Mu have the advantage of a transformed field, the Fire, Metal and Earth Elemental energies within the lava were also recharging his own energy stores. In fact, he had already restored all the qi he had used so far and was now he was at his peak.
He lunged forward, his fists glowing brighter as he channeled the full weight of his Body Cultivation And Boundless Dominator Physique into them. The ground split beneath his charge, lava fountains bursting up in his wake.
The cult leader barely had time to raise his saber before Lin Mu’s claw came crashing down. The weapon screeched in protest, bending under the force, while the leader’s arm shook violently as though it would snap at any moment.
Meanwhile, Lin Mu’s tentacles rained devastation upon the cultists. Swords flashed with streams of sword intent, cutting down entire squads in clean, merciless arcs. Wonder Seeker released a continuous storm of blazing arrows that tore through the air like meteoric rain, each impact vaporizing bodies into ash and scattering debris across the city.
The Bow which had not seen much action for a long while, was now enjoying it throughly.
The underground metropolis became a slaughterfield.
Screams echoed, mingling with the rumbling roar of lava and the whistle of arrows streaking across the battlefield. Cultists who had just moments ago been emboldened by the leader’s empowering token now fell like wheat before the scythe, their newfound strength rendered meaningless before the might of the Magma Asura.
Meng Bai stood frozen, his hands trembling as he swung his spear against lesser cultists with Little Shrubby and the twin snakes backing him up. But his eyes were locked on Lin Mu’s form in awe. "Master... this... this is... He’s like a god of war..."
Daoist Chu, who was locked in fierce combat with three fifth-stage Immortal Ascension cultists, spared a brief glance, his expression grim yet respectful. "This is Lin Mu’s true might. Or perhaps... only a glimpse of it."
His voice rumbled as he cleaved apart one of his opponents with a surge of qi. "During the Bridge Plane expedition, I witnessed him like this. He fought not against dozens, not against hundreds—but against millions. Millions of Chimeric Beasts that filled the skies and earth. Compared to that nightmare... this battle is nothing. These cultists are nothing."
Elyon, sweat dripping down his brow as he fended off a barrage of strikes, could not help but shudder. Memories of being crushed under Lin Mu’s Gravity Dao flashed in his mind, a suffocating reminder of the abyss-like difference between them. "Then... then we’re not even seeing his limit now..."
Cattaleya, spinning gracefully in midair as her glaives pierced through sixth and seventh-stage opponents, couldn’t resist a low chuckle as she watched Lin Mu stand amidst the lava like a deity of annihilation. "They’ve dug their own graves. Truly... these fools triggered their own doom."
Though internally she couldn’t help but feel greatly pleased with Lin Mu.
’Perhaps... He might just be the right candidate...’ She thought secretly.
The cultists screamed in panic, but their leader barked frantically, trying to rally them. "Do not falter! He is just one man! One man cannot defeat us all!"
But his words rang hollow.
Lin Mu’s tentacles released another flurry of strikes, his swords cutting down dozens in blinding arcs while his bow sent a storm of fiery arrows that darkened the sky of the cavern. Lava surged in tidal waves at his command, sweeping through ranks of cultists and reducing them to ash.
The leader snarled, his scarred face twisting into a mask of rage and desperation. His saber erupted with a blinding blue and red crescent slash, infused with the life force of his own blood. "Crescent Execution!" he roared, unleashing an arc of power wide enough to cut through an entire block of the underground city.
But Lin Mu met it head-on.
His magma claws slammed together, condensing the surrounding lava into a massive shield of molten stone. The crescent strike collided with it, detonating in a cataclysmic explosion that shook the entire underground city.
