Chapter 3086: Not A Man, But A Magma Asura

Chapter 3086: Not A Man, But A Magma Asura

The earth shook violently as the array fully activated, cracks splitting open across the floor of the underground city. An ominous glow bled through the fissures, and in the next breath, fountains of molten fire surged upward.

The ground became a hellscape of blistering lava and rolling waves of heat so oppressive that the air itself seemed to twist and bend. Cultists screamed, some immediately immolated where they stood, while others used all their strength to raise barriers of qi to shield themselves.

The scarred leader laughed manically, his hoarse voice cutting through the chaos.

"Burn! Burn in the flames of the world’s marrow!" he shouted, his face twisted in cruel glee. "This is the power of the Earth’s womb! No immortal can endure it!"

Daoist Chu, Elyon, Cattaleya, and the others instinctively withdrew their positions, wary of the spreading fire. Even the stronger Immortal Stage opponents faltered as the molten tide swept in, their footing reduced to fragments of crumbling stone amidst rivers of destruction.

But Lin Mu?

He didn’t back away. He didn’t even raise a defensive shield.

Instead—he stepped forward.

And then, with a sharp exhale that reverberated like a drumbeat, he jumped directly into the surging flood of lava.

"Lin Mu!?" Cattaleya cried out in disbelief, almost breaking her stance as she blocked a cultist’s saber strike. "What are you—"

"Is he insane?!" Lame Yu wondered, as he tried to avoid the flames as best as he could while being under the onslaught of Daoist Chu’s talismans that were attacking every cultist on their own.

These individuals didn’t know about Lin Mu’s full extent of skills, so could not understand why he would do something like this. Even for Cattaleya, it would be tough to endure the heat. She could certainly take it, but it would also drain her vitality more than needed.

The scarred leader’s manic grin widened into mockery as he watched Lin Mu’s figure vanish beneath the molten tide. "So the haughty swordsman was nothing but a fool after all. Too arrogant to even resist. The flames of the earth devour all!"

But then—

The lava around the spot where Lin Mu had plunged didn’t settle. Instead, it began to whirl, spiraling into a violent vortex as if a giant maw was sucking it in. The river of fire bent unnaturally, streams of liquid rock coiling inward, gathering rather than dispersing.

And then the laughter of the leader faltered—because a deeper, thunderous laugh echoed from within the inferno.

The molten whirlpool erupted. Lava burst upward like a geyser, but within it stood a figure that made everyone freeze.

Lin Mu rose from the magma like a war god. His body was no longer flesh and bone but a fortress of obsidian stone and glowing molten lines. Jagged rocky armor encased him, each plate veined with rivers of glowing magma.

His arms were colossal claws of segmented rock, molten light pulsing between their seams as if barely contained. From his back surged four more appendages—lava-forged tentacles ending in clawed tips, writhing and dripping liquid fire.

The molten tide didn’t burn him. It circled him like a crown, the inferno bending to his will, amplifying his presence until the very cavern seemed to tremble. His aura was no longer simply sword intent—it was fused with earth’s marrow and the fire of the deep.

The scarred leader stumbled back, disbelief shaking his scarred features. "This... this is impossible! That lava can melt even a Seventh Tribulation immortal! How... how are you standing—!?"

Lin Mu’s crimson eyes glowed through the helm-like mask of stone that covered his face. His voice rolled like thunder over molten plains.

"You fool... You just gave me a home advantage."

The scarred leader’s lips quivered, and even the other cultists faltered. The sheer dominance of Lin Mu’s presence drowned their morale as much as the heat of the lava drowned the cavern.

Then Lin Mu spread his arms, claws cracking with power, magma dripping from them like blood. He bellowed—

"Longgui Bulwark Armor Technique: Magma Fury—Magma Asura!"

The name itself was a declaration of destruction.

The magma of the array roared in response, but it did not resist him. Instead, it surged toward him like tributaries feeding a sea. Each pulse of molten energy poured into his armor, his rocky plates glowing brighter with every heartbeat. His magma claws lengthened, his tentacles lashed outward, and the flames of the earth bowed before him as their master.

Even Cattaleya, who had seen many prodigies and monsters of battle, could only whistle low under her breath. Her usually sharp, calculating gaze widened with rare awe. "So that’s his trump card... No wonder he’s so fearless."

Elyon, however, shuddered, the memory of Lin Mu’s crushing Gravity Dao resurfacing. He clenched his jaw as sweat beaded on his brow—not just from the heat, but from the terror of knowing that Lin Mu’s limits were far higher than he had ever imagined.

The battlefield had shifted. Where once the array threatened to drown them all in annihilation, now it had become Lin Mu’s domain. The cultists who had surged forward under the scarred leader’s token-enhanced blessing now faltered. Some staggered backward, their confidence breaking as their so-called divine array empowered their enemy instead.

The scarred leader roared desperately, thrusting his hand toward Lin Mu. "No! No mortal brat can usurp the flames of the world’s womb! Kill him! Drown him in numbers!"

But none moved. Not immediately. Because they were staring at the towering figure clad in molten armor, a walking calamity that turned their sacred flames into his weapon.

And then Lin Mu moved.

With a single stomp, the lava beneath his feet erupted, launching him forward like a blazing comet. His magma claws slashed outward, a single swing tearing through three cultists at once, their bodies incinerated before they even had time to scream. His tentacles lashed out next, molten whips that coiled around fleeing enemies and dragged them screaming into the lava.

The leader’s confidence began to crumble. For the first time in decades, fear took root in his scarred heart.

This wasn’t just a man. This was a Magma Asura.
