The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 521: You’re Not Good Enough for Me

Chapter 521: Chapter 521: You’re Not Good Enough for Me

[We remember! Is there good news?]

[Did they find the girl?]

Hearing Renee Jennings mention it, the audience thought there was good news.

Renee Jennings shook her head regretfully. "She hasn’t been found yet, but I got a childhood photo of the girl from her older sister."

She held up the photo of Young Miss Sawyer to the camera. "This photo has been restored. The little girl in it is three years old. She was abducted by human traffickers sixteen years ago."

[Goddamn human traffickers! I was almost shoved into a car once!]

[A lot of my classmates when I was a kid were bought.]

[Hope they find her soon! Praying!]

Renee Jennings opened another photo. "This girl is named Chelsea, but her family calls her Cherie. She went missing at the age of five and should be around seventeen this year. She has a mole on her left eyebrow."

[Sigh. I wish there was no human trafficking in the world.]

[The host is such a good person!]

[My neighbor has a missing girl too. Can I send her info to the host to help find her?]

"Yes, you can. Send me the specific details," Renee Jennings said softly. "After the stream, I’ll post the photos on my main page. If anyone finds them familiar, please don’t hesitate to send me a private message."

[Hope to hear good news one day!]

[Everyone, please watch your kids closely! Don’t let your guard down just because there are more surveillance cameras now!]

Renee Jennings stared at the bullet comments for a while, then nodded with grim sincerity. "When you’re out, never let your children out of your sight. Danger is everywhere. You must always be on guard."

"Have some water." Michelle Fuller handed her a bottle of mineral water with the cap already twisted off.

Renee Jennings took the water and tilted her head back, taking a few big gulps.

She put down the water bottle, glanced at the time, and said gently, "Now, let’s connect with our last viewer."

The connection with "Mia" was successful. On the split-screen, a girl sat on a sofa, holding a small golden retriever.

Realizing she had successfully connected, Mia excitedly grabbed the little golden retriever’s paw and waved. "Hello, Host! Hello to all my brothers and sisters in the stream!"

"Hello, Mia," Renee Jennings said with a small smile. "And hello to the little golden retriever too."

Mia immediately made the introduction. "His name is Watermelon. I found him on my way to buy watermelon."

The little golden retriever, Watermelon, however, was a bit agitated. He pawed at Mia’s arm, barking, "WOOF! My human, what are you thinking? How can you still be in the mood to play on your phone!"

Mia quickly said to Renee Jennings, "Host, I’m staying at my friend’s house right now, but I’ve noticed that ever since we got here, Watermelon has become very agitated."

Renee Jennings nodded slightly and asked, "Mia, can you describe specifically how Watermelon is being agitated?"

"Of course," Mia nodded immediately. "Watermelon was pretty happy when we first got here. He was sniffing around, looking at this and that. But when I came out of the shower, he was like a completely different dog."

As Mia spoke, Watermelon had already trotted to the door and was barking at her. "WOOF! My human, let’s go! Quickly!"

Mia flipped her camera to show Watermelon standing by the door. "When I came out of the shower just now, Watermelon started pushing my leg hard with his head. Then he ran to the door and tried to paw at the doorknob. It’s like he really doesn’t want to be here."

[I bet Watermelon has discovered some huge secret! I suggest you listen to him and get out of there, quick!]

[I know this one! Watermelon wants to go downstairs to play!]

[Don’t listen to the person above!!!]

Renee Jennings also sensed that something wasn’t right. Her brow furrowed slightly as she asked gently, "Mia, is your friend home right now?"

Mia: "She’s home, but she’s taking a shower."

"Okay." Renee Jennings nodded and raised her voice slightly. "Watermelon, is your human’s friend trying to hurt her?"

Watermelon, who had been struggling to paw at the doorknob, heard this and immediately ran to Mia’s side. His big, round doggy eyes stared in surprise at the human on the phone screen.

"WOOF WOOF WOOF! Pretty lady, you have to get my human out of here!" Watermelon was very anxious. "My human’s friend, Christina, is a bad person! She’s going to hurt my human!"

Without time for details, Renee Jennings quickly told Mia, "Watermelon says your friend Christina is a bad person and she’s going to hurt you."

[I actually guessed right!]

[Mia, what are you standing there for? Run!]

Mia froze for a few seconds, then asked in confusion, "What’s going on? Is Watermelon misunderstanding something? This is my best friend. Why would she hurt me?"

"Just go downstairs first," Renee Jennings said. "I’ll help you get to the bottom of this."

"Okay." Mia got up from the sofa. Just as she reached the entryway, her friend opened the bathroom door and came out.

"Honey, are you going out?"

Mia looked at her and said casually, "Christina, I’m taking Watermelon for a walk downstairs. He’s been fussing to go out since a little while ago."

"Okay," Christina said, drying her hair with a hair towel. "Don’t go too far, then. We’re still going out for a late-night snack later."

"Got it." Mia nodded, changed her shoes, put Watermelon’s collar on, and went out the door.

Once outside the door, Watermelon finally breathed a sigh of relief. "WOOF~ That’s great, my human won’t be hurt by the bad person~"

Mia led Watermelon into the elevator. It was empty. She looked at Renee Jennings on her phone. "Host, could you please ask Watermelon for me?"

"Of course," Renee Jennings agreed. "Watermelon, why did you say Christina is a bad person and wants to hurt your human?"

Watermelon knew the human on the phone could understand him, so he barked, "Just now, when my human was in the shower, I heard the bad person talking to someone on her phone!"

Renee Jennings: "What did she say?"

The elevator reached the first floor. Mia led Watermelon out of the lobby and found a quiet place to sit.

She held the phone screen in front of Watermelon.

Watermelon stared at Renee Jennings and said seriously, "WOOF~ While my human was showering, Christina got a phone call..."

Mia was in the bathroom showering. Christina was lying on the sofa, editing a photo, when she was interrupted by a phone call.

She answered the call, put it on speaker, and impatiently asked what the person on the other end wanted, all while continuing to edit her photo.

"What do you want? I’m busy."

It was a man on the other end of the line. Hearing Christina’s words, he immediately said, displeased, "Are you that busy? Too busy to even reply to your boyfriend’s WeChat messages?"

"Boyfriend?" Christina laughed sarcastically. "Are you kidding me? Didn’t I tell you we were breaking up? You’re not my boyfriend anymore."

"I didn’t agree!"

"That’s hilarious. I was *informing* you, not asking for your opinion."

"Why are you breaking up with me?"

Christina rolled her eyes. "Because Mia introduced me to a rich heir. He’s richer than you, more handsome than you, and way more generous."

"Mia introduced you?" The man on the other end was instantly furious. "Doesn’t she know you have me? And she’s still setting you up with another boyfriend?"

"Is there a problem?" Christina sneered. "Mia always thought you weren’t good enough for me. It’s perfectly normal for her to introduce me to better men."

"Son of a bitch, is she crazy?" the man cursed, enraged. "Believe it or not, I’ll fucking stab her!"
