The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 341: You Will Abandon It Someday

Chapter 341: Chapter 341: You Will Abandon It Someday

"Sigh..." Bighead sighed. She could no longer muster the brilliant smile she’d had when she first connected to the stream.

She finally aimed the camera at the culprit. "He’s still destroying things. I swear he won’t be happy until he’s driven me completely insane."

The Beagle was clawing at the dining table, looking as if it was determined to prevent its owner from ever eating there again.

Bighead concluded, "He’s honestly the most destructive dog I’ve ever seen."

[LMAO, didn’t you just say he was cute during his ’honeymoon phase’?]

[He really is an evil little mutt.]

[LMAO]

Bighead looked at the stream comments and pouted. "I was just telling it like it is! I never thought such a sweet little puppy would grow up to be... like this."

The Beagle must have heard Bighead, because it stopped clawing at the dining table.

It shot Bighead a sidelong glance and barked loudly, "What are *you* yapping about? Day in and day out, you’re always hovering around in front of me, but you never think to take me downstairs for a run. I’m bored to death!"

"Are you bad-mouthing me to someone again? What is wrong with you humans? Why are you getting so rude?"

"You’re so annoying! Why do you keep pointing that rectangular thing at me?"

"I’m speechless. If you have so much free time, why don’t you take me downstairs for a run? I’m dying of boredom."

Hearing the Beagle’s barks, Renee Jennings knew that his destructiveness wasn’t intentional. It was just that he had too much energy and couldn’t go downstairs for a good run, so he had to find something else to do.

"Bighead, what’s your Beagle’s name?"

Bighead: "At first, we named him Husky, but he never responded to it. After a while, we rarely used that name. Usually, we just call him ’Your Majesty’."

Renee Jennings: "..."

She pressed her lips together and said softly, "Husky isn’t actually trying to destroy the house on purpose."

Bighead paused, surprised. "But every time he wrecks the place, the way he looks at us is so defiant."

Renee Jennings: "Husky, I’d like to ask you a question."

Hearing this, Bighead immediately held the phone screen up to Husky’s face. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Husky stared at the screen and tilted his head. "What’s this about?"

Renee Jennings spoke in a gentle tone, "Husky, after you’ve burned off all that energy, what are you thinking when you look at your owners?"

"Even if I told you, would you understand?" Husky barked at his owners every day, but they never understood a single thing.

He was exhausted from trying and had gradually accepted the reality that his owners just couldn’t communicate with him.

"I can understand," Renee Jennings said with a slight smile. "You can tell me what you’re thinking, and I’ll pass it on to Bighead for you."

Husky realized that Renee Jennings was a human he could communicate with. His eyes instantly lit up, practically sparkling.

"Awesome! Can you tell them to stop being so lazy?" Husky’s voice held a note of resentment. "They never take me outside to play. I’m so bored at home."

Renee Jennings: "Is that why you make such a mess of the house? Because you’re bored?"

"This is a mess?" Husky asked, full of self-righteousness. "I don’t think it’s messy at all."

"Okay," Renee Jennings said, a hint of exasperation in her eyes. "So, if they take you outside to play, will you be a good boy and stop destroying the house?"

"Do you have any idea how much trouble you’re causing for Bighead and her family?"

Husky blinked his big puppy eyes. "Nope."

’What bad intentions could a dog possibly have? He’s just a little bored and trying to have some fun.’

Renee Jennings patiently explained, "You’re clawing at the dining table. That’s where everyone eats their meals every day. If you break it, they won’t have anywhere to eat."

"And that black sofa and the TV? Everyone sits on the sofa to chat and watch TV every day. Now you’ve ruined them, so they have nowhere to sit and nothing to watch. Do you understand what I’m saying?"

Husky seemed to understand, yet at the same time, he didn’t. "If there’s nowhere to sit in the house, why are they still staying home instead of taking me outside to play?"

Renee Jennings: "..."

"Because when everything in the house is broken, they’re in a bad mood, and they won’t want to take you out to play."

"Oh, so that’s how it is," Husky said. "So if I don’t break things, they’ll take me downstairs to play?"

"Do you want your owners to take you downstairs to play every day?" Renee Jennings asked.

Husky nodded his fluffy head. "Yeah! There are so many other dogs downstairs. I watch them from the balcony every day. Why do other dogs get to play outside all the time, while I’m cooped up in here?"

Renee Jennings frowned slightly. "Bighead, you don’t take Husky for walks very often, do you?"

"It’s true, we rarely do," Bighead explained. "Work is pretty hectic. We leave early and get home late every day. We mostly just walk him on the weekends. During the week, we only take him out for a quick stroll if we happen to get off work early."

Renee Jennings: "Don’t you let him play with other dogs?"

Bighead: "No, not really. I’m afraid he’ll fight with other dogs. I’ve seen dogs get into fights while on walks before."

[...No wonder Husky is destroying the house.]

[As a veteran dog owner, even if I’m out drinking ’til midnight, I still have to walk the dog. I’ll be puking on the curb while my dog’s pooping in the bushes.]

[Life is walking the dog~ You break a bone, you walk the dog on crutches~~]

[You can’t slack off when you have a dog!!!]

Seeing the comments, Renee Jennings was both amused and exasperated. "If you have a broken bone, you need to rest properly. Even though you have a responsibility to your dog, your own health comes first. If you’re not feeling well, you need to prioritize your recovery."

[Makes sense.]

[Agreed. You can’t treat the dog like royalty either.]

Renee Jennings’ tone shifted. "But Bighead, Husky is a hound. He’s not like a regular pet dog. He has boundless energy and needs a lot of exercise to burn it off."

"The reason he’s so destructive and causes a ruckus day and night is actually because of all that pent-up energy."

"He also needs to socialize. He wants to play with other dogs."

"You don’t take him downstairs to exercise nearly enough, and that’s why he destroys the house every day."

Bighead never imagined that the real reason for Husky’s destructive behavior was a lack of exercise.

She sighed. "To be honest, getting Husky was an impulse buy... I just saw how cute he was and got him, without really considering if we had the time or energy for a dog."

[Definitely a lot of people who get dogs or cats on impulse.]

[And that impulse often leads to abandonment...]

"I’m not going to abandon him," Bighead quickly explained. "If I wanted to give him up, I wouldn’t have called into this stream. I’ve had him for a while now; I’m attached to him."

"Then can you promise to take Husky downstairs at least six days a week?" Renee Jennings asked.

Bighead opened her mouth, then fell silent for a moment before saying, "Six days a week... that might be impossible. Work is just so busy and exhausting every day. When I get home, I don’t want to move at all..."

[I have a feeling you’re going to give him up eventually.]

[Same.]
