Chapter 376 - Too Much
Chapter 376: Too Much
Yao Ran was delighted.
Yang Nian’s silence was exactly what she had wanted.
She didn’t need Yang Nian to stand up and defend her. The only thing she needed was for him to stay silent and refuse to speak up for Yao Tang.
This was the first step. Now that he’d come to know Yao Tang’s true face, he’d naturally stay away from her. The corners of her lips twitched up into a smirk, but she hid it immediately.
“You think that I’m responsible for this?” Yao Tang finally looked up, raising her eyebrows.
“It’s nothing.” Yao Ran hurriedly shook her head, avoiding her gaze. “It really is my fault. I—I shouldn’t have brought it up. I’m so sorry…”
From the way she had phrased her words, it was obvious that she was afraid—very afraid of the woman in front of her.
Upon hearing Yao Tang’s line of question, Qin Man could only sigh helplessly. At this point, she had already given up trying to talk with this stubborn girl.
Suddenly, a loud shriek echoed across the hall.
Everyone quickly turned to see what had happened. All they could see was Yao Ran stumbling onto the floor, and behind her was Yao Tang’s extended leg.
She kicked her!
Her hands slammed against the pavement, with her face millimeters away from the ground. She breathed rapidly, her eyes widening in both fear and surprise.
Bean-sized tears splashed onto the ground and her entire body trembled from the shock.
Apart from Old Madame Yao and Yang Nian, they all rushed to Yao Ran, unable to believe that Yao tang could’ve done something like this!
The kick reminded them of what she had done before.
Yao Tang had a reputation for being incredibly feisty. She had challenged a dozen of hoodlums from other schools. After entering the police station, she managed to escape unscathed and even become famous for her combat skills.
She had also chased Qin Man and Yao Ranout of the mall once.
And at the last family gathering, she not only humiliated Qin Man, but also took away Yao Ran’s chance in taking her qualification exams in the Music Association.
Yet, she still pretended to be innocent?
Yao Tang’s eyes remained cold as she stared at Yao Ran. “Are you delusional?”
“Yao Tang!” Qin Man screamed, rushing forward to hug Yao Ranas if she were an injured dear. “Have you had enough? You’ve already tripped Ranrana while ago, and now you want to do it all over again? This is too much!”
Even Yang Nian couldn’t help but frown, glancing at the fallen woman. “Are you okay?”
Upon hearing his question, Yao Ran couldn’t even care less about the sharp pain in her palm. Her heart stirred in her chest, and she clenched her fists.
He had taken the bait!
Now, she’d have Yang Nian and Cheng Zhouin her palm. She’d become the richest woman in the city that everyone would look up to her and forget all the other incidents behind her.
Shaking her head, she sobbed. Fat tears slid down her cheeks. “If I can make amends with my cousin, I’ll be fine…I’ll always be fine…”
Yao Ran’s face was as pale as chalk.
As soon as she said this, even the waiters couldn’t help but glare at Yao Tang. How could this obnoxious brat hurt such an innocent young woman?
However, Old Madame Yao didn’t look convinced.
Instead, she tilted her head and glanced at Yao Ran’s positioning. Something had finally dawned on her.
“Tangtang was on your right when she had supposedly tripped you, yet you fell onto me. Now that Tangtangtripped you again, in the same position, why did you fall forward instead?”
As soon as the Old Madame said this, everyone pursed their lips.
Wasn’t she right?
Why did Yao Ran fall in a different direction?
Could it be because she was supporting Old Madame Yao?
However, upon thinking things through, they couldn’t help but frown from the logic.
Aunt Wang took a step forward. “People normally fall forward. It’s why Miss Yao Ran’s hands are on the ground now. But the way Miss Yao Ranhad fallen earlier—to her grandmother…That meant she wasn’t tripped, but why…”
She frowned.
Yang Nian was a science whiz. Naturally, he could deduce what had happened to be a little trick. With a frown, he couldn’t help but take a step back.
This time, he kept his distance from Yao Ran.
