The clone suddenly halted, and before Rael could even figure out what was happening, the clone’s ass began to inflate like some sort of balloon, causing shivers to run down Rael’s spine.
Obviously, since the clone wasn’t completely helpless, it tried to resist, using all sorts of Laws at its disposal, and even sending a dozen Heavenly Slashes her way.
But not a single Heavenly Slash connected, because Nyx was perfectly capable of avoiding them by utilizing the Mirror Realm.
Some, however, she didn’t even bother to dodge, as it was far simpler to just snap her fingers and disintegrate his Heavenly Slashes that way.
And seeing that from the side, Rael couldn’t help but feel sour.
Especially since he knew she had only been playing with the clone for now and making fun of Rael’s earlier idea.
The moment he had that thought, Nyx snapped her fingers as a faint hum suddenly resounded throughout the whole area.
Rael felt like his mind was scrambled slightly, and he wasn’t even the one facing the attack.
As for his clone, when it heard that sound, its head expanded to an abnormal size, and before its healing could kick in, its head exploded.
But the explosions didn’t stop there, as like a chain reaction, every single part of the clone’s body began to explode one by one, until eventually, there was nothing left.
At first, Rael thought that it might not be it.
After all, he had once regenerated from just a single atom.
Yet to Rael’s surprise, nothing of the sort was happening.
No regeneration, and not even a single semblance of mana moving around.
It was as if whatever Nyx had done perfectly countered Rael, disabled his regeneration, and killed him completely.
Honestly… knowing that she could do this to him whenever she wanted rubbed him the wrong way.
But at the same time, he was plenty grateful that Nyx was currently on his side.

To think she considered herself a strategist, and not a fighter.

Rael stared at the sorry excuse for a bug exploit message, and just shook his head.

Rael just kept spamming “No,” until eventually, the pop-ups went away completely.
When that happened, the trials resumed like before.

Rael once again pressed “Yes,” and in the next instant, his surroundings switched completely, no longer resembling an empty room, but a flourishing kingdom filled to the brim with people.
There were dragons flying around, some guarding the walls.
He was a little confused at the sight, but he soon realized what was happening when he got the next pop-up.

And Rael would be surprised as well.
So with that in mind, he flew down to the kingdom and waved at the people.
Yet everyone ignored him, including the dragons.
For a moment, he thought that they couldn’t see him.
But when he walked up to a random person and accidentally sucker punched them in the face, accidentally sending them flying, Rael was assured that they could see him.
They were just choosing to ignore him.
Anyhow… Rael didn’t care about the pettiness of the situation, and instead, he just focused on the main goal, which was just to defend the kingdom.
He closed his eyes for a moment, then reopened them.
In the next instant, a powerful wave of mana left his body and enveloped the whole city.
A multi-layered mana barrier, fueled with infinite mana, and the Law of Barriers, as well as the Law of Infinity.
If anyone broke through this, Rael would personally go out of his way to praise that person, even going as far as to get down on his knees.
Aside from all the stupid stuff, it didn’t take long to set up the barrier, and now that it was finalized, Rael just walked through the lively streets of the city and eventually sat down on one of the benches in the park.
It was very peaceful.
Though, it didn’t take long for Rael to catch a glimpse of a fiery red bird high in the sky.
The bird stared back at him and then glanced back.
When it did, hundreds, if not thousands, of other fiery red birds emerged from the clouds, casting a red glow over the kingdom and making most of the people stop dead in their tracks.
Frightened expressions appeared on their faces, and it didn’t take long for the panic to set in as everyone began running around frantically, hiding in the houses, while some even ran down to their makeshift bunkers.
And less than a minute later, the whole sky turned red as millions of powerful fireballs finally descended.
