Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 727: Acknowledgement

Chapter 727: Acknowledgement

When they all reappeared, they found themselves in front of a white wall that was constantly getting further and further away from them.

Even so, Rael acted quickly and mimicked what Victoria had done to get inside here in the first place, and that was to rip apart the wall by using as much power as he could.

It was surprisingly tough, but by infusing his hands with the Law of Destruction, it became a piece of cake.

And so, in just a few seconds, Rael ripped a small hole in the wall, and Victoria jumped in to help, using her hands to pull from one end, while he pulled from the other.

Unlike when they got inside, the wall was regenerating quickly.

Astaroth came in to help, but Rael simply pushed him away, as he was pretty much just luggage at this point.

Still, Rael figured out a simple solution, and that was to simply use Time Stop on the wall.

While he didn’t actually expect it to work, the wall stopped regenerating, and so the two of them ripped it apart just enough so all three could fit.

Astaroth was the first to go through, then Victoria, and lastly, Rael climbed on through and removed Time Stop, allowing the wall to regenerate.

He was deep underwater like before.

Except when he blinked, the wall vanished.

Now, there was only a deep, seemingly endless ocean in front of him.

It was like the Spirit Realm just up and vanished.

“You.”

Victoria called out, and so he turned around.

She gestured at Astaroth, who, for some ungodly reason, was flapping his arms and legs like some kind of penguin, trying to swim up, but failing.

This made Rael realize one thing.

The big bad dragon had no idea how to swim.

Jeez…

And for a moment, Rael thought this guy had enough knowledge from not only Rael’s memories, but also his former contractors’.

Regardless of that, Rael came along, grabbed Burger by the arm, and then, alongside Victoria, the three of them began floating upward.

It took nearly an hour, as the ocean was incredibly deep.

But eventually, they reached the top and climbed out onto a rocky surface.

And to all of their surprise, the Fate Dragon mountains were in the distance, and the ’ocean’ they were just in was nothing but a small puddle atop one of the mountain peaks.

“Woah… The Spirit Realm really has some cool tricks,” Rael remarked.

He tried to take a step back into the puddle, but now it was back to being just any ordinary puddle.

And naturally, it wasn’t as deep as the ocean either.

“Yeah, but the favor I called in is probably going to come back and bite me in the ass,” Victoria remarked. “Still, I appreciate your help. I guess you can take that as my acknowledgement, if you will.”

The moment she uttered those words, Rael felt like a certain energy coursed through his body, making it stronger.

It wasn’t anything like he felt before, as previously, it simply seemed like he only got a small buff to his physical abilities.

But now, he felt as though they had doubled, if not tripled.

Yet that change wasn’t reflected in his stats.

However, one thing was.

<Dragon Heart – Tier 4 → Tier 5>

<Your body’s physical abilities have been enhanced exponentially (MAX).>

<Your body’s mana-controlling abilities have been enhanced exponentially (MAX).>

<All Dragon-Based skills/abilities cost 70% → 75% less DTP (MAX)>

<Your flight speed increases by +1,000% → +5,000%>

<Your fire breath is infused with the power of your Laws.>

<You may put a curse on your treasure which harms any who try to take it from you.>

<(NEW) Stats increase by 3x while airborne.>

<(NEW-Special) Option to add the Dragon Grade to your Neural Core – Grade Undefined>

The changes were a little bit more special last time, as there were two rather than one.

And the 3x stats increase while airborne was especially big, since considering all of his other stat increases, this put his stats at a rough 24x increase.

Mainly from his dragon form, fishmancy, and of course, his mind domain.

Nonetheless, Rael was more interested in the last part.

He hadn’t touched the Neural Core much lately.

In fact, he barely even touched any mind-related skill or ability.

But maybe he should try to do it?

What if instead of firing Heavenly Slashes, he could directly impart his Law of Infinity in someone’s head?

Boom!

Instant kill.

Smiling in satisfaction, Rael glanced at the one thing that he wasn’t particularly happy about.

<Dragon Heart – Tier 5>

<In order to reach Tier 6, you must best the [Fate Dragon King] in any battle of their choice.>

“Say… Victoria. Would you like to do some rock paper scissors?”

She turned to him and deadpanned:

“We can both see the future. Do you think a game like that would make any sense?”

Rael let out a sigh.

“How about who can make a pebble skip on water more times?”

He was pretty good at it back in his old world.

After all, it didn’t take a lot of brains to throw a pebble in water.

Hehe.

“I know what you’re trying to do, and as much as I’d like to help you, if you defeat me, you will become the next Fate Dragon King. Since I’m aiming to become a Dragon God, I’m afraid I can’t grant your request,” Victoria said.

“Not even an unofficial duel?” Rael asked, tilting his head. “No offense, but I can’t give two shits about the Fate Dragons. You can rule over them for as long as you want. All I need is my Dragon Heart Tier increased, so I can fight stronger opponents without dying like an idiot.”

She stared at him for a few moments, then let out a sigh.

“Do you want to take a guess at what grade my Dragon Heart is?”

He was a little confused by the question.

Although Rael couldn’t recall that well, Burger did mention she was a fairly high tier.

So maybe…

“Tier 8?”

“Tier 6.”

Oh.
