Chapter 610: The Single Outcome
Chapter 610: The Single Outcome
Unlike before, the control he had was actually unbelievable.
With a mere thought, he could glance thousands of years into the past or even more. The same for the future and present.
He was pretty curious about just how far he could go, but after millions of years, then billions, he realized there really wasn’t a limit.
Rather, his body was the limit.
Blood dripped down his nose, and when he felt a slight headache, he was forced to back off.
So I can go as far as I want so long as my durability and Grade are high enough, huh? Rael thought with a smile. Now let’s try the future.
Instead of recklessly glancing into the future, he decided to take baby steps.
In particular, he wanted to take baby steps from the current moment.
In a few minutes, Lucien would wake up.
He would wake up before Kareth, and then he would beat Rael’s ass, pierce his heart, and eventually rip off his head.
Rael raised a brow at that outcome and tried another.
Pestering Kareth, Rael would wake him up first, then he would use his powers to kill Lucien.
…Or that was how he thought it would go, but it seemed like the moment he hit Lucien, his head went flying.
And then after, Rael’s head went flying too.
“Jeez… So he can kill Kareth easily too. Just what can’t this guy do, huh?” Rael thought, snickering. “Might as well pack my bags and try to somehow get the fuck out of there.”
Nah.
There had to be a way where both Rael and Kareth lived through this.
But no matter how many outcomes Rael went through, he couldn’t come up with anything.
At best, Kareth would die and he would survive.
At worst, Rael would die and Kareth would survive.
It was an infinite cycle with no escape.
So eventually, Rael turned to external factors.
Messaging Lilith and telling Vatyra to somehow get in contact with Anastasia.
Only once in a thousand times did it work, and to Rael’s genuine surprise, she seemed to be the key here.
Her defensive light barriers were enough to withstand several hundred hits from Lucien. Furthermore, Lucien was clearly on a timer since, every passing moment, his punches seemed to grow weaker and weaker.
In the end, they would need to hold out for 10 minutes if they all wanted to live.
Rael noted that outcome down and glanced several days, weeks, months, and years into the future, making sure it was the correct choice.
And although a war between the Divine Realm and the Depths did seem to happen, at least by then, their odds of victory were higher.
I need to try one more thing though, Rael thought, and after closing his eyes, he tried to reconnect with the vision he saw earlier.
A throne.
Two people dead.
And lastly, the realm destruction.
After setting everything up, Rael played it out, and to his horror, the outcome wasn’t of this immediate instance.
Rather, it was a few years into the future.
Rael’s hands shook as he saw who the corpses belonged to.
Zafira and Lilith.
The throne was empty.
And the realm being destroyed was not a realm at all.
It was the Lightea World, and the throne room was the throne room in Celestara…
With a determined look, Rael combed through this particular outcome, and he quickly realized that this was the worst case scenario.
A scenario where they lost the battle against the Divine Realm without having stood even a single chance.
And that was the very same outcome that led to him floating in space alone, fighting Solenne, Lucien, and the whole army of the Silver City, Ancient Primordials, angels, and more.
The death of Zafira and Lilith sparked that outcome.
The destruction of Lightea did too.
Rael was angered at that outcome. It only really happened because he spent too much time alone, training and growing stronger, all while neglecting his wives and just letting them do their thing.
If he wanted them to survive, he had to take them along.
He left that vision quickly, and after doing some minor adjustments with his idea a moment ago, the outcome was much, much clearer and happier.
Smiling inwardly, Rael finally left the Prophetic Realm.
His appearance stayed the same as it was in the Prophetic Realm, but now he truly looked at Lucien as though he was his biggest enemy.
“But… Among the many futures I saw, I also figured out how to beat you.”
Having said that, Rael turned to the chatroom and concocted the only message that would get Anastasia to come here.
<Rael Sutekh: Lilith, tell Vatyra to message Anastasia and say – If you don’t want your husband to die, and your rival’s body to be stolen, then you best get your ass over to Kareth’s realm. You have 5 minutes.>
After a brief moment, she replied.
<Lilith Sutekh: Damn. That’s pretty hardcore. I’ll tell her.>
A few seconds passed, and then she sent another message.
<Lilith Sutekh: She told me to fuck off. Or was it you? Hard to tell. Anyways, she sent the message. Need anything else?>
<Rael Sutekh: Not really… After all this is over, do you two want to get some dinner?>
There was nothing but silence.
Did he overdo it? He probably should have checked this outcome in the Prophetic Realm.
However…
<Zafira Sutekh: Asking two women on a date at once? You have grown very bold, dear husband.>
<Lilith Sutekh: Free food is free food. If Zafira doesn’t want to go, then we can just go together.>
<Zafira Sutekh: When did I say I wouldn’t go? Stop putting words into my mouth, you vixen.>
Seeing their bickering, Rael was filled with relief.
That memory earlier scared him a little.
Maybe more than a little.
What would he do if these two weren’t here?
Aside from Melissa, Gaia, and Uriel, who else did he have left?
Shaking his head to get rid of those thoughts, Rael eventually cut in their conversation.
<Rael Sutekh: Stop the cat fight, will you? Just get ready. If all goes well, I should be back by the end of the week. Until then, for my sake, would you please stay with your guardians?>
<Lilith Sutekh: Fine… You know, despite how grumpy Vatyra is, she’s quite womanly when it comes down to it. I’ll wait patiently.>
He waited for Zafira to say the same, but what he got instead was a little…
<Zafira Sutekh: Rael, why did some woman claiming to be your sister just teleport in front of me?>
“Uhh…”
<Rael Sutekh: Because she is… Though she hates me. I don’t know what you can talk about, but be on your guard. She’s stronger than Solenne.>
She didn’t reply after that, but since he knew Zafira would survive through this, he would let fate do its course.
Rael simply closed the chatroom and then took a few steps past Lucien, arriving before Kareth.
Since everything needed to be perfect, Rael would do his best to make everything line up with what he saw.
And for starters, he would need to wake Kareth from his million year torture.
