Monster Integration

Chapter 4494: Charged

Chapter 4494: Charged

Step!

"I hope you haven’t been waiting for long," I said. "Not for long." She replied, shaking her head.

Five seconds. That’s how long she had waited. It is I who had been waiting for us in my abode. As she came out, I walked out of my abode as well.

She looked well rested. A day is more than enough for the powerhouses like her to recover fully.

There was a moment of silence before we took to the sky; both of us wore cloaks and covered ourselves in stealth. With her, I don’t worry about getting discovered.

She is powerful enough to deal with most threats without revealing her identity.

"If you have time, I want to check a few spots in here that might help me reach the limit." She said, turning to me. "It’s for which I had come to this place," she added.

"No problem," I replied.

It is what I want. If she hadn’t asked for it herself. I was planning to suggest it myself.

Though I was thinking about the way, I do it, without shattering the strength of the persona I had created. To most, I am at least Silver Prime, with my strength and laws suppressed.

"It should close in one and a half days," she said, looking at the open curtain.

"It will take about two days," I replied to her surprise. I had collected and studied the data of the place and could predict when it might close.

People are still going inside it. It’s not surprising; this place is filled with resources.

If I had not found the resources, which are hundreds of times better than what they will be later. I would still be harvesting the resources.

I had enough that I didn’t have to worry about resources, but I will continue collecting them.

Minutes passed, and we avoided several people coming and going from the place. Some of them were very powerful, but not a one had sensed us.

Soon, an hour passed, and we couldn’t sense a single one, but we began to sense monsters.

Powerful monsters.

Looking at the direction, we are going deeper into the marsh. It’s a very dangerous, more than even the curtain; there is freaking Silver Prime in there.

Still, I didn’t say anything. Other than hope, she is not dependent on me, nor am I.

If she is thinking, I will deal with danger. She could not; she is grossly wrong. The only thing I could do was defend, and those four monsters had brought me to my limit.

So, if we come across danger, even slightly stronger than them. There would be trouble.

The chances of it are very low. Those four were the peak of the strength. It could even be said that it was straight out of the ordinary, even among those of the same level.

It’s all because of the law; each monster has multiple laws. That’s not normal.

"This is the detailed map of the marsh. Not many have it," she said suddenly and threw a crystal toward me; I caught it and looked inside.

She is right; it is very detailed. Far more than the one I have. It has the information about the places that mine couldn’t mention.

I miss organisation. Not just Tor, but also Taurus City; the resources and information they have in their hands couldn’t be compared with the free powerhouses.

Aside from the protection, this is the second reason. People join an organisation.

Even the independent powerhouses join them eventually or at least remain aligned with them. The benefits are too good not to do that.

Soon, a few hours passed, and we slowed down. We begin to come across powerful monsters that neither of us would want to fight.

"We will need to walk from here," she said. Looking at the place ahead, which was covered in a dense blue energy.

"Ok," I said, and a few seconds later, we landed on the edge of the blue marsh.

I could feel the changes appearing in her stealth and energy. The same thing happened with mine as well.

We entered inside and immediately, hundreds of thousands of microscopic lightning arcs crashed against us. It is not blue energy, but bolts of lightning infused with lightning, earth, and healing laws.

It enamoured me, and I collected some as I slowly walked through the marsh.

This place is thick with massive trees and marshes everywhere; all of it heavily charged. If one is not careful, they will encounter such a charge that it will send them to the underworld before they realise it.

If one touches those connected trees, it is a powerful blast through my shield that instantly kill me. Much less the woman.

’It is a minefield in here,’ I said. ’One of the Prime from my organization had nearly died. If they hadn’t been rescued on time, they would have died,’ she replied.

There was no mention of that incident in the information, but that’s not surprising.

It is not something an organisation likes to write. They tell these things orally. Though in Tor, they mention such things; they might hide the name of Prime, but keep such information.

An hour passed and we have reached near our destination. This place isn’t big, and despite moving slowly, we will get there in ten minutes.

A few minutes passed when I suddenly stopped. Seeing me, she stopped as well.

She didn’t ask; she just waited, and a few seconds later. She had sensed it as well—a thin, but white long snake.

We waited for it and prepared. If it got too close, it might sense her. So, I need to be ready to deal with it. Thankfully, it didn’t; it turned and moved toward another direction.

I could see the sigh of relief on her face; it’s a powerful monster.

Something, she wouldn’t want to fight in a place like this.

We waited for over a minute before resuming our journey. More cautious and slower than earlier.

It took longer, but we finally reached our destination.
