Chapter 2629: The Mansion Of Grand Commander

Chapter 2629: The Mansion Of Grand Commander

Knock Knock

I knocked on the door of a huge mansion, one of the biggest in the whole pyramid; the residence of the leader of the council.

The whole mansion is white in color and has been carved from single-piece achasas marble, which is insanely expensive.

It is a very rare type of marble that absorb mana, purifies it, and mellows it before releasing it with a mixture of special energy, which helps in absorbing this energy without any slightest discomfort.

It is a good ability, but many things could do such things and are not as insanely expensive as this marble. The reason for its insane price because its ability to increase the natural mana capacity of the body.

If a child stays here for ten years, their mana capacity would be doubled at the least. It is not just children, but powerhouses at the level of Grand Commander and even Grand Lords benefit from it.

It is not just Grand Commander have such special houses, but also all the other council members and High Grandmasters and above powerhouses. I was offered one of these special category houses, but I declined after I discussed it with my family.

While the benefits are great, they are not great enough that I would move away from where I am currently living.

My sister and parents are getting the best benefits in all the world with all the resources I have, comparable to or even better than the offspring of Grand Lords. So, there was no need to move away, which made my sister unhappy, considering all her friends and school were within walking distance.

A few seconds passed, and I was about to knock on the door again when the door opened, and the person who opened it shocked the hell out of me, as it was a Grand Lord.

“Grand Lord,” I greeted with a slight bow, “There is no need so formal, Grandmaster; you can address me as before,” said Lady Hera and beckoned me in.

The inside of the mansion is spartan interior; it barely has any things, but everything, whether chairs or rugs, is of the finest quality. Some of which are even releasing the aura that will harm if anyone below the Grandmasters walks near them.

It is clear that over 95% of the things here are from the ruins, and not all of them were brought by the Grand Commander.

As I walked past the visiting room and entered the hallway, I saw many famous arts, one of which was a famous painting that one of her predecessors brought from the ruin two thousand years ago.

There is a world inside that painting that the soul could enter; from what I heart, it is a wonderful place that brings lots of benefits, but it is not all good. The world inside had corruption and made several Grandmasters mad, some never able to recover.

“World of Maharaka, a wonderful artifact to train. You should give it a try when you reach the absolute limit of High Grandmaster class,” said Lady Vivian. “Isn’t this painting corrupt the soul?” I asked, looking at a beautiful painting of snow mountains and green gardens.

“Yes, it does, and only Grand Lords are relatively safe in it, but those of lower level could also go and get great benefits as long as they have a strong will,” she said and looked at me with a twinkling eye before we continued.

Soon we reached in front of the bronze door with a simple flower design, and Lady Vivian pushed its hand. The bronze door opened with a click, and she walked inside, with me following behind.

I walked into the hall, and like the rooms in this building, it also has minimal things; except for a med-bed and a few chairs, there was nothing. Though I should mention that there are four Grand Lords in the room, aside from the old lord of glass and Lady Vivian, there is Patriarch Bradford and Lady Angela, both of them in projection.

“Grandmaster, thank you for accepting the personal invitation despite your busy schedule,” said the Grand Commander as she stood up from her seat. “It is the least I could do, Grand Commander,” I replied.

“You must have already guessed why I have called you, right?” she asked, to which I nodded. “It is about your Body, right,” I said, and her expression became a little serious, “Yes, it is about my Body; I hope you will take a look at it,” she affirmed.

“Please, lay on the bed, Grand Commander,” I said directly; she nodded and laid on the grey stone med-bed.

“I am going to send an investigative seed inside you, Grand Commander; it will let me see everything, every secrete of yours,” I said, indirectly asking for an accent, and immediatly felt a fatal threat before it had disappeared; it seemed like Lady Vivian is still angry about it.

“Go ahead, Grandmaster, but let me inform you that your investigative seed might not be able to survive when it goes near my body, even soul senses of Grand Lords when they moved so close to it,” she warned, “We will use a different method if that happens,” I said with a smile.

A second later, a tiny black seed size of peanut appeared above my index finger before flying toward Grand Commander and seeping inside her through the middle of her chest.

A few seconds later, a meta-physical scan of her body appeared in front of me. It was of just the upper layer, but still, what I saw surprised me. It seemed like lunar frost was affecting the Grand Commander’s body more than I had imagined.

There are clear signs of it; most of them are new and likely appeared after the battle, but I could see some old, very old seeing them; I could calculate when her elemental body had awaked. It had awakened quite early, much earlier than I had expected an elemental body could awaken in our world.

Sigh

I couldn’t help but sigh, seeing that she had awakened her body when there was no support from the Inheritance; I wondered how she had survived.

She would have been if it had been a complete awakening, but the signs I have seen so far, it is very clear that her awakening was far from come. Not only it was incomplete, but it also awakened suddenly, without prior warning or signs.

So, different from the twins.

Compared to her, twins could be said to be exceedingly lucky, as the awakening of their bodies was slow. First, it was the constitution that materialized, which continued strengthening till it surpassed the boundary of the constitution and marched toward the body.

As it did, it got stronger and stronger, giving enough signs of what their conditions were and giving patriarch Bradford enough time to find inheritances.

The Inheritance they found was weak and unsuitable, but it did buy them a few years before it began to elementalise them, and they went to hibernation.

When the bloodsun had called me, they were cusp of awakening, and their awakening wouldn’t have been complete if not for the timely help from me and that Inheritance, which I had come to know about that person in the garden.

That Inheritance could have also helped the Grand Commander if she had imprinted it before the awakening. Now it is useless; her condition is unsuitable for that Inheritance, and if we removed her current Inheritance forcefully, it would kill her within a minute.
