3021 Monastery
The memories stopped, and I laid back on the mat and closed my eyes to relax, but unknowingly fell asleep.
When I woke, I was shocked to find out I had slept for over eighteen hours; it seemed like those bursts of memories brought by extreme emotions had made me more tired than I thought.
Still, I do not mind losing the eighteen hours as I am feeling light like I have never felt in my life.
While the worries have remained, I do not feel like obsessing over them, which was making things worse, stopping me from working with all efficiency.
I could even see the change in my clones; what they had accomplished in the past twenty hours seemed shocking.
A smile couldn’t help but appear on my face as I got up and looked at all statues.
All they brought out was the memories, some even I wasn’t able to remember; they made me realize what is truly important and what I should most focus on it.
For it, I couldn’t help but feel grateful and bowed to each statue with my own will and grateful heart.
This place had given me more than I had hoped, and there were more; there were more doors that remained to explore, nine below the statues, one attached to the wall of the hall.
The first door I chose is an obvious one in front of me, below the statue of the sensual woman.
Krrrr!
I walked toward the statue, and unlike the statue of the second hall, I did not feel any pressure; within a few minutes, I reached it before pushing it open.
Hun!
I stepped inside the hall as the door opened, and what I saw inside couldn’t help but make my eyes go wide.
I had expected many things, but not this. Though, I shouldn’t be surprised, given the kind of statue it is.
This hall is round, and all over it are murals, erotic murals with lovers in different positions, and is the design of the rose, but it is not a painting, but an extremely elaborate formation filled with the power of divinity, which I could not understand.
p
I looked at the hall for a couple of minutes before walking out.
It is not for a single person. If I survived against the Grimm, I would return to this hall, bringing marina with me.
Soon, I walked out and moved toward the different statue, this one belonging to the grief.
I was a little fearful of this statue and wanted to enter the door inside it at the last, but I controlled those thoughts and walked toward it.
Earlier, when I stared at this statue, thousands and thousands of faces came in front of me, my colleagues, and my friends. The war took many of them, more than I count, and I still grieved for them.
We would lose many more people unless we finished the big Grimms and wiped out every last one of them; only then will our world have an everlasting piece.
Soon, I reached the door and pushed it open before going inside, and found myself in a huge hall, at least three times bigger than the hall beneath the sensual woman statue.
It is also square in shape, empty except for the mats lying on the floor.
The walls of the halls are fully barren except for the five-line text written in the brush, it is what the mats are facing, and if I am writing, then one will have to comprehend those words, whatever they are saying.
I copied the words and got out of the hall; it is not like I don’t want to comprehend them; I am sure I will be able to gain something if I comprehend it, given the mysterious feeling I am getting from them.
But I need to explore all the doors before I begin to comprehend what the texts.
A few minutes later, I reached another hall, which was too similar to the previous one with the same dimension and design; the only different thing was the text.
The next hall was the same, and the hall after that, and soon, I finished with all the eight halls, and now, only one hall below the statue of joy had remained, and I stepped inside it.
Hun!
I thought it would be the same as the other hall and nearly did when I looked at the size of the hall and the mats present in it, but it is different, and what is different is that it did not have the texts.
Instead, there was a bell, a big bronze bell of my size, that had some words written on it.
I looked at the whole hall before walking toward the bell, and I tried to ring it, but to my surprise, it did not, despite using all the strength I could muster with all my power sealed.
It did not move even an inch.
After trying for a minute, I shook my head and walked out of the hall, and moved toward the only door that had remained.
It is attached to the hall, like the door through which I had come here.
Soon, I reached it and pushed it open, and what I saw inside brough a small smile to my face.
Living quarters.
It is a room that has a small kitchen and bathroom attached to it; I had guessed I would find this, and I was right.
If I am right, then this is some kind of monastery or temple; those statues and rooms inside them are for meditation, while this one is for life.
These quarters are simple and very small compared to places I had been living in the past few years. The room did not have a mattress, just a simple mat made of jute, like the other mats, but slightly bigger.
I have already decided that I am going to stay here, at least till I finish meditating in all the rooms and gaining all the benefits from that.
The burst of memories emotion had freed me, and it somehow made my clones more efficient.
I am sure that meditation will provide me with even greater benefits.
I did not immediately go to the meditation hall and instead walked to the kitchen and began to take out the things and fill the empty kitchen racks.
This room had unsealed my powers, not all of them, just 1% of them, which is more than enough for me.
With it, I could easily bring out the things from the core and enter inside.
After I brought out the stuff, I began to cook.
I do not plan to cook something elaborate but a simple meal. The elaborate meal does not feel right in this place.
It did not surprise me that the cooking formation of this place is powerful enough to cook above the limit vegetables I am trying to cook.
At my core, I needed to use white fire to do it.
In an hour, I finished cooking, and I began to eat with Nero and Ashlyn. It was a satisfying meal that brought a satisfied smile across my face.
