Chapter 124
The club was full. The lights flashed everywhere, and the music boomed as the group of several dancers filled the dancefloor. Lu Xinyi threw her hands in the air and swayed her hips in tune of the beat of the music. She hadn’t gone out like this for a long time. It was nice that Shen Yi hadn’t forbidden her to meet her friends at this time of the night.
Lu Xiulan grabbed her hand and twirled her around. They both laughed as they realized they were both dateless while some of the couples in the dancefloor moved around them. A couple of songs later, Lu Xinyi pulled out her cousin from the crowd.
“Wooh! That was fun!” Lu Xinyi flopped down to her seat and laughed. “All that dancing makes me thirsty.”
“I already ordered some drinks. Sky’s the limit since I haven’t seen the two of you for a long time.” A man across her smirked back at Lu Xinyi.
“Thanks, love. You are the best.” Lu Xinyi took one shot of alcohol and downed it in one go. “Damn, that’s too strong.”
They spent their reunion in a cheerful reminiscence of what happened while they had not seen each other. Even more so, Yuan Jin ordered more drinks for the three of them as they continued to update him with the happenings while he was gone.
“See? I told you Xiao Xinxin, that Meng Jiao girl is a bitch! I knew something was wrong with her when I met her. What kind of sane woman will keep couples company without getting disgusted by their lovey-dovey?”
Lu Xinyi took another shot glass and downed the drink.
“Ah, I thought you said your husband forbids you to touch any alcohol again?” Lu Xiulan crossed her legs and supported her chin with her hand. Her dark makeup made her look more mature than her age. There was something about her eyes that made Lu Xinyi worry for her cousin.
“So you really aren’t joking when you said you got married.” Yuan Jin snickered at Lu Xinyi. He hadn’t seen his best friend for almost three months, and he came back, only to find out she got married.
“I did.” Lu Xinyi confirmed. She wasn’t planning to hide it too long, anyway. What mattered to her was they could get along well with Shen Yi.
“So who’s the unlucky man?” Yuan Jin teased.
Lu Xinyi slapped his arm, feigning the hurt in her face.
“Jin, how dare you?!” She huffed and crossed her arms on her chest, turning to her side to ignore her best friend. “He’s the one who keeps on bullying me, and you call him unlucky?”
“Ah, of course, you are the lucky one. Not only did you get the attention of one of the most sought bachelors in town, you were also able to trap him into marriage.” Lu Xiulan winked at her cousin, while holding a glass of margarita.
“You two are keeping the yummy secret. Tell me who married my Xiao Xinxin.” Yuan Jin demanded. ρꪖꪕᦔꪖꪕꪫꪣꫀꪶ
Lu Xiulan used her finger to get his attention. Yuan Jin leaned forward, but the table in front of them was a little wider so he had to lift himself from his seat. Lu Xiulan whispered something in his ear before she burst into laughter and flopped back to her seat.
Yuan Jin blinked several times. His brain almost shut down at what Lu Xiulan told him. His eyes turned to Lu Xinyi, asking her a silent question, trying to ask for her to confirm that Lu Xiulan wasn’t joking.
“I’m really married to Shen Yi,” Lu Xinyi said in hushed voice, not wanting other people to hear her confession.
Yuan jin slammed the table loud with his hands and laughed. Wow, so many interesting events happened while he wasn’t around. How he hoped he didn’t get that business trip so he could help Lu Xinyi at those times.
“What a fucking coincidence. Or was it fate that was playing tricks on you that you married him. I’m sure your old man must be fuming in anger now.”
“Not that I care about what he thinks. He already knew what I want, but he kept pushing the wrong button to infuriate me further.” Lu Xinyi sighed.
It was then when Yuan Jin took their conversation to a strange turn…
“So, how’s married life? He’s treating you well?” he asked.
He was observing his best friend since she stepped in the club. She looked prettier and healthier now. Her smile was brighter and livelier compared to what she had before. It seemed that this Shen Yi was able to turn Lu Xinyi back to her normal self.
“It’s good. Very good. We haven’t encountered any big problems so far.” Lu Xinyi hummed as she ran her fingers through her hair.
Yuan Jin nodded.
“We’re talking about Shen Yi. So tell me, Madam Shen, how is he in bed?” Yuan Jin wiggled his eyebrows.
Both women laughed at his antics. Ah, his perverted side was appearing again.
“What? I’m just curious. No need to tell me the details, but can you at least tell us anything about his pee pee size?”
