Chapter 2688: Chapter 2697: The School Teacher Called
"That’s how it is." Enna Clark surrendered to her theory that watermelon could produce honey. How could a watermelon possibly produce honey, unless it was actually a glass of watermelon juice disguised as honey water.
Enna didn’t tell her that the sweet-looking little girl often did unexpected things. As her Bobby at home would put it—she often plays the pig to eat the tiger!
Of course, that wasn’t exactly what Bobby said.
Bobby’s original words were: "Looks like a pig on the face, got a battle hymn in the heart."
Enna automatically interpreted that as playing the pig to eat the tiger.
"Alright, it’s getting late, Olivia, let’s go eat. We haven’t had a meal together in ages." Enna glanced at the time on her wrist and took the initiative.
Olivia Lewis also checked her phone and realized it was already twelve. She grabbed the bag next to her, stood up and called the waiter to pay the bill. "Let’s go, I’m hungry too. Guess I really can’t eat at night. The more I eat at night, the hungrier I am during the day."
The two of them paid, found a hot pot place nearby, and happily devoured a whole Hot pot feast.
Because Olivia’s identity was special, Enna was worried she’d be recognized, so she specifically booked a private room to make it easier for them to eat to their hearts’ content.
After they finished eating, her Manager called to rush her to a fitting. Olivia said a gloomy goodbye to Enna, and the two went their separate ways.
Enna had been worried about her since last night. Now that she’d seen her in person and knew she was okay, she felt a lot more relaxed.
After parting with Olivia, she walked lightly toward the Hospital...
She had just reached the Hospital gate when Tobias’s Homeroom Teacher called.
"Hello."
"Hello, is this Tobias Clark’s parent? Please come to the School now, Tobias Clark got into a fight with someone."
The voice was indeed that of Bobby’s Homeroom Teacher at School.
Enna’s heart skipped a beat. She found it hard to believe Bobby would get into a fight. But since the School teacher had already called, she had no choice but to believe it. "I’m sorry, I’ll come right away. Give me ten minutes."
"Alright, no need to rush, we’ll wait for you."
"Mm, bye."
"Bye."
Enna hung up. She originally wanted to call a certain someone and let him know. She even dialed, but then hung up again, deciding to go to the School first and see what was going on.
Enna didn’t drive fast. She drove all the way to the School and headed straight for the Academic Affairs Office.
At this hour, the other students were in class, and the School was filled only with the sound of reading aloud.
Because she was anxious, Enna walked very quickly, practically jogging to the door of the Academic Affairs Office. She pushed the door open hard. "Sorry, I’m Tobias Clark’s parent, I’m late."
Her gaze immediately searched the people in the office and in one glance she saw the teenage boy standing off to the side, lips pressed tight in stubborn silence.
Enna hurried over and checked him over. Only after making sure there were no injuries on him did she breathe a sigh of relief.
Phew, as long as he’s okay~
On the way here she’d been worried he might be hurt. Thankfully, he wasn’t.
"Ahem. You’re Tobias Clark’s parent?"
Her actions had clearly made some people in the Academic Affairs Office unhappy.
Usually when parents get a call and rush over, the first thing they do is scold the kid. How could she not understand how to educate children at all and actually check if he was hurt first? Wasn’t she just encouraging the kid’s arrogance?
"Yes, I am. Hello, teacher." The reason Enna didn’t ask Bobby why he’d fought or scold him first was because she knew her son. She was very clear that her Bobby wasn’t the kind of kid who bullied others for no reason. Her Baby was so precocious and sensible—if he really did get into a fight, there had to be some reason she didn’t know about.
