"No need." His wedding with Enna Clark, he, of course, had to handle personally. How could he let another man help prepare for it?
Even if that man was Adam Sinclair, it was still a no-go.
Everyone’s a man, so Adam naturally understood his thoughts. He smiled knowingly and asked, "By the way, have you decided on the Best Man yet?"
"If not, I’ll take a spot."
Since Enna Clark was getting married, Olivia Lewis would definitely be a Bridesmaid, and he needed to secure a position for himself.
Baron Lawrence glanced at him and asked with a slight curl of his lips, "Are you sure you’ll be able to stand on your feet in 13 days?"
Adam replied with irritation, "I’m sure! Don’t worry! I will crawl to your wedding if I have to! So save me a Best Man spot."
Baron Lawrence wasn’t fully convinced, given that Adam had a track record of unreliability. "We’ll see."
Adam took a deep breath, feeling a bit choked up, almost wanting to get up and strangle him. After a few deep breaths to calm himself, he sighed and said, "Honestly, I didn’t expect you and Enna to really get married. Bobby must be really happy."
"He’s alright."
"Hahaha, I’m sure he’s thrilled. I heard from Olivia that he often mentions you. It’s just like the way your Lawrence Family interacts, leading to the rapport you have with Bobby."
He wasn’t sure if that kind of business-like detachment in the Lawrence Family was good, but it was certainly better than the superficial harmony filled with hidden agendas in his own family.
At least Old Master Lawrence genuinely wanted the best for Baron.
Baron’s Second Uncle also never had ulterior motives, being wholeheartedly devoted to the conglomerate.
So, the men in the Lawrence Family seemed superficially strong and cold, but in reality, they were more passionate than anyone else with the people they cared about.
"Anyway, it’s great you two can get married. Seeing you succeed gives me the determination for the long haul."
Baron Lawrence wanted to point out that their situations weren’t the same.
The Old Man appeared conservative but wasn’t inflexibly stubborn. Plus, he and Enna Clark already had Bobby and Gigi. The Old Man adored Bobby and Gigi, especially Bobby, who often spoke up for Enna in front of the Old Man. And there was something Olivia Lewis could never do: Enna Clark was from the Habsden Family.
He didn’t care about what status that woman had. Even if she was just an illegitimate daughter, he would definitely marry her!
However, others cared.
Especially the people within the family cared.
He and Enna Clark were a good match, which silenced many who wanted to oppose. Clearly, while a good match doesn’t matter for four people, when it does matter, it saves a lot of trouble.
Adam wanting to be with Olivia Lewis still had a long road ahead.
He did feel for Adam but was more grateful.
Grateful that Enna Clark wasn’t Olivia Lewis, grateful that Enna Clark didn’t abort the child back then and chose to give birth to Bobby.
"I’ll prepare a big red packet for you guys, hahaha. Remember to pay me back with interest when I get married." Adam didn’t think much about it, he had already decided to be with Olivia Lewis, and no matter how tough the road ahead was, he would keep going.
Baron Lawrence saw the determination in his eyes and finally spoke, "We’ll talk when you get married. When you do, I’ll gift Olivia Lewis an entertainment company."
A small entertainment company was something he could afford to give away, and once it’s given, it’s given.
