Chapter 4896: A Meeting Across Eons II
Chapter 4896: A Meeting Across Eons II
In existence, there were so many oddities that it was hard to keep track.
Noah always observed the oddities and wonders with a cautious eye, especially things that he did not understand.
THE Entity was not something that he fully understood.
So even though he knew he should be immune, he still appeared in THE Stoa of Dogmata with THE Primordial Paradox with his body shrouded by blue-gold flames of THE First Tongue. Infinite variations of Phonemes swirled around his form like a protective cocoon, ready to respond to any threat that might attempt to breach his defenses.
THE Primordial Paradox stayed close to him as they traversed the space. Noah had left Lumivara behind with Glossikos, and only the two of them came here.
And oddly enough, truly, the figure of THE Secretive Eon had not left even an inch from where they sat before.
When their eyes landed on THE Primordial Paradox, they lit up. Both their eyes and their mouth smiled as if something they had deeply been waiting for had appeared once more. Joy radiated from her features in a way that seemed genuine and yet profoundly unsettling.
But when the eyes of THE Secretive Eon landed on Noah, the smile faded. They frowned as if his mere presence ruined things.
The frown disappeared from THE Secretive Eon soon after, replaced by careful neutrality as she also smiled at Noah.
Noah looked around the Stoa. Beside her, the disciple that he had helped bring outside to this place, who had inadvertently become infected by THE Entity, was nowhere to be seen.
The two sides looked at each other silently.
THE Primordial Paradox seemed to be thinking of too many things. He looked at THE Secretive Eon up and down as if he was trying to ascertain something, his obsidian eyes piercing through layers that others couldn’t perceive.
And Noah catalogued every single detail.
Eventually, THE Secretive Eon was the one to break the silence.
"Seeing your first is always a unique thing."
Her voice was calm, almost melodic.
"You were my first, O Primordial Paradox. And you were taken from me. Seeing you now makes me very happy. It makes us very happy."
Her smile returned.
"We would love to get the chance to bring you to our fold again. This time... without you being taken by another."
...!
THE Primordial Paradox was her first.
As eerie as the words were, they reminded Noah how THE Entity had its first target be THE Primordial Paradox. And it didn’t fully get to take over THE Primordial Paradox, as THE Living Paradox took the Claim and became one of THE Four.
Whatever THE Living Paradox had done, THE Entity had made no movements since THE Living Paradox utilized his methods to take the Claim. THE Entity only began to move again after THE Fallout spread across Observable Existence.
She had spoken in an extremely calm and eerie manner as she looked at THE Primordial Paradox. Her gaze then turned toward Noah briefly.
"And we always welcome your existence. We just wish it didn’t happen at the same time. That way... things would have been even easier."
At these words, Noah blinked.
He turned to THE Primordial Paradox beside him.
"It seems that whatever methods you prepared are not enough. If you were here alone, she may have just latched onto you again."
THE Primordial Paradox nodded at his words. He looked at THE Secretive Eon closely once more before he spoke for the first time since he arrived before her.
"How do you... feel?"
...!
The question was an odd one. Even Noah was startled by it.
THE Secretive Eon tilted her head.
"I feel okay. We all feel okay. We can share with you how we feel... if you let us."
THE Primordial Paradox shook his head when he heard this reply. He repeated himself as if this was not what he was asking.
"Do you feel THE Second Scale of Existence? Is it even a possibility for you? Or is it as far as it can be?"
His voice grew harder.
"Because in you, I can only see an evolutionary dead end. I can only see an existential dead end. Are you able to see and understand this? Can you feel this?"
...!
THE Secretive Eon became silent at these questions.
And at this moment, she shockingly began to get up.
She stood for the first time in quite a while, her form rising from the position she had maintained since Noah first encountered her. Her robes shifted as she dusted off her clothes with casual movements that seemed almost human, her expression remaining calm throughout.
"What I can feel is your animosity."
Her voice held no accusation, only observation.
"I thought we would talk and discuss. I did not think your hatred toward us was so much."
HUUM!
Yes.
Even Noah could feel it at this moment.
The weavings of Paradox had exerted themselves in every single direction within THE Stoa of Dogmata. The air itself began to twist with obsidian-gold authority that pressed against reality with weight that exceeded anything Noah had witnessed from THE Primordial Paradox before.
THE Primordial Paradox actually wanted to make a move against THE Secretive Eon!
Against THE Entity!
Instantly, everything around them became filled with obsidian-gold seas of Paradox. And swimming within these seas were creatures that defied comprehension.
Embodiments and Apophasis in beastial forms!
A massive lion with the hindquarters of a river beast and the jaws of something that should not exist, its body flickering between solid and conceptual as it embodied the paradox of predator and prey simultaneously. It roared with a sound that was both challenge and submission at once!
A serpent with wings of storm clouds and scales that reflected images of what could have been, its form coiling through the obsidian-gold authority as an Apophasis that declared what existence was NOT. Its eyes held the weight of negation itself!
A creature with the body of a great bull and the wings of an eagle, its face bearing expressions of rage and serenity that shifted with each heartbeat. Paradoxical flames burned along its hide as it pawed at reality, ready to charge!
A bird of impossible lightning, its feathers crackling with authority that struck in all directions simultaneously, an Embodiment that declared the truth of contradiction made manifest!
A beast with the head of a crocodile and the mane of a lion and limbs that belonged to neither, its existence a declaration that boundaries between forms were meaningless suggestions!
Dozens of them!
Each one felt like the Immensity of an Absolute!
Each Embodiment and Apophasis that THE Primordial Paradox had released possessed weight that could devastate regions of Observable Existence on their own. They were all glorious and emboldened and mad in their beastial forms, roaring and snarling and radiating authority that made the very foundations of THE Stoa of Dogmata tremble!
They all looked toward THE Secretive Eon as if they would rip her apart in the next moment!
