“Well, this is really unexpected,” Xiang Yu thought as he pressed his foot down on Li Yao, pinning her to the ground.
His body seemed to have undergone a tremendous change after entering the fiftieth layer and forming the inner core.
He restarted the simulation, randomly selecting an Earth Immortal opponent. Could he actually win against a genuine immortal now?
The Earth Immortal he chose wielded the Law of Space.
Xiang Yu barely dodged a space blade, his thoughts racing. This was a true immortal, the difference compared to Li Yao was insane, like comparing heaven and earth. They had been incredibly lucky to escape from the Beast God, who was probably even stronger than this opponent.
The mastery of law between them was incomparable too. If he had to describe it, Li Yao only had a vague understanding of the laws, while this Earth Immortal possessed genuine comprehension and could use them creatively to achieve their goals.
Even so, Xiang Yu wasn’t losing ground against them.
The immortal used spatial law to lock down the space around him, but Xiang Yu called upon his overwhelming physical strength, shattering the space like glass. He tried using the Gravity domain to pull the immortal closer, but it failed.
“Failed, huh? I figured as much,” he thought. Even at the absolute level, domain mastery was incomparable to real law mastery. But with his physical strength alone, he didn’t even need domain power to deal damage.
He moved at extreme speed, vanishing and reappearing behind the immortal in an instant. The immortal quickly reestablished space around himself, detecting Xiang Yu’s location and creating a space barrier. Xiang Yu just smiled at this, punching straight through the space barrier and striking the immortal directly. The immortal was thrown back several miles, barely managing to steady himself before Xiang Yu reappeared in front of him.
“Let me try out my new ultimate move on you,” he said with a smug smile.
His body transformed into a huge blob like monster, swallowing the immortal completely.
Inside the blob, the immortal found himself trapped within some sort of murky, slime-like monster. The walls of the monster then began launching thousands of void palms, bombarding the immortal continuously until he was completely erased from existence.
Xiang Yu’s body transformed back into his human form.
He thought to himself that this technique was really effective. With the incredible hardness of his body, he could completely trap an opponent, then pummel them continuously into nonexistence.
Although the technique seemed a little underhanded, he didn’t care.
“I’ll call it Infinite Void for now,” he thought.
He decided to select another opponent. Xiang Yu fought many simulations against all sorts of Earth Immortals.
Unexpectedly, their powers were really different from each other. Although he could completely overwhelm an early-stage Earth Immortal, he could barely keep up with a mid-stage Earth Immortal. And for late stage…he couldn’t even last a second.
The difference between realms was really high, almost as big as two whole major realms from before.
He opened his eyes in the real world. It seemed he was still weak, he thought.

“I’m done. You can stop pretending now,” Xiang Yu whispered into Li Yao’s ear as she lay there pretending to be asleep.
“If you don’t get up now, I’ll do something bad,” he said, but she still didn’t open her eyes.
“Are you really asleep? I thought you were awake and we could dual cultivate. Since you’re still asleep, I guess we can only do it tomorrow,” he said.
At that moment, she instantly opened her eyes. “Senior brother, you can’t…” she protested.
Xiang Yu smiled at her. “So you were pretending all this time,” he said.
“Umm… no, I just woke up,” she said.
“Alright,” he said, “but you’ll probably wish you never woke up.” He got up, lifting her in his arms.
“Senior brother, you…” She blushed, looking to the side. “I, Li Yao, have never been afraid of consequences. I hope senior brother makes me regret my actions,” she said. Then she looked directly at him. “But if you can’t… you can only blame yourself for being weak,” she said.
“It seems I haven’t disciplined you properly as your senior brother,” he said, disappearing into space.
Inside the spirit vein’s creation domain, fourteen clones were busy working.
One was the farming clone, and three were the ones Xiang Yu had added the previous day. The other ten were the new clones Xiang Yu had created after the advancement in his stellar physique. He could now condense bloodline essence ten times a day. The new ten clones possessed all four bloodlines and fiftieth layer body refining, as well as an inner core.
Their combat power was at the half-step immortal level.
This was really insane. Just the day before, he had been struggling against Li Yao, but now he could make clones as strong as her.
The fourteen clones were split into two groups. Seven of them worked on creating immortal-grade materials. At the moment, he already had around half the materials needed to craft an immortal weapon.
As for the other seven, which included the original farming clone, they were working on genetically engineering herbs. They had already managed to create a few immortal-grade herbs with some interesting effects.
But now, they were working on something else. After the advancement of his Truth Seeker profession, he had discovered how the spiritual root could be stimulated to go into overdrive and how enlightenment could also be stimulated to enter a state of enlightenment.
With this knowledge, he was looking to engineer herbs with these properties so they could trigger these effects.
Another thing he was planning was to combine this effect with a sort of rebirth effect. If he added a rebirth effect in addition to stimulating the spiritual root, he believed he should be able to force the spiritual root to upgrade.
He already had the theory, but he wasn’t exactly sure if it would actually work.
He decided to start with a seventh-grade herb. If he could engineer a seventh-grade herb with this feature, he could then refine pills from it and try it on a disciple with a low-grade spiritual root.
If everything went well, he should be able to advance it to the middle grade. He could then adjust the parameters and make pills for the other grades. With a first-grade pill, he should be able to advance a disciple with a sacred-grade spiritual root to divine grade.
After confirming this, he could then work on a way to advance enlightenment, as it was a little different from the spiritual root since it didn’t rely on the body’s rebirth effect, requiring a much deeper understanding.
