Xiang Yu then produced a soul partition.
It wasn’t a complete partition like that of his clones, but one similar to the one he used as the core of his void silk. He was going to use this as the core of the tower as well.
He could feel that the tower was on the verge of forming a spirit and he didn’t want to deal with allat so he did this instead. He thought to himself that although the partition wasn’t completely conscious like the others, it was capable of carrying out a series of commands.
In short, it was programmable.
Xiang Yu filled it with all sorts of instructions to follow when dealing with the tower. The partition would be overseeing the tower, checking people’s passes and letting them in. It would also deal with giving rewards to those who raided the tower according to certain criteria Xiang Yu had made.
For rewards, Xiang Yu had isolated a specific part of the tower as storage and would be putting all sorts of things there. The partition would then go through them and sort them using a hard-coded algorithm, then pick them to give as rewards according to performance.

The partition would also randomly choose an additional reward to add to the prize pool. The range at which it picked the random reward would be based on performance, so the higher you perform, the more likely you are to score some unique overpowered items.
For the rewards themselves, Xiang Yu placed thousands of unique techniques and scriptures for all levels, all sorts of weapons – even divine-level ones. There were also all sorts of pills, even divine-level ones. He also put in some other unique items he had made as well as bloodline essences from thin blood all the way to noble blood.
Xiang Yu thought to himself that he’d keep adding onto this collection as time went on.
Following the sect’s recent growth, Xiang Yu felt that this was something he needed to do. At the moment, he had so many resources he couldn’t distribute fully to the sect as they were too valuable and he didn’t want to simply hand them out for free.

As for danger, yes there was some danger as he couldn’t control the monsters spawned, well, he could, but only actively, and he didn’t feel like wasting his time on this. That’s why he had the partition as the core.
When a disciple was in danger, they would simply be teleported out. But this also had its downsides as the tower would take all your prior received resources once you “died.” Although it seemed harsh, Xiang Yu put it there to discourage recklessness.

He appeared at a medium-sized door in the guest’s area.
He knocked on the door and after a few seconds, someone came out. It was Li Mei. She looked up at Xiang Yu and was surprised by his presence. She wondered why he was here.
“Grand…” she began but quickly corrected herself, “Brother-in-law, greetings,” she said as she cupped her fists. “I apologize for not coming to thank brother-in-law for the gift,” she said with a slight bow.
Xiang Yu smiled. “Not at all. I’m the one at fault for not coming to deliver it personally,” Xiang Yu said. Before she could respond and trap him in the infinite cycle of gratitude and apologies, Xiang Yu reached into his sleeve and produced a spatial ring.
“Take this,” he said as he handed her the spatial ring.
“Brother-in-law, this is…” she began.
“The one from before was just a gift from me. This is the real dowry,” Xiang Yu said with a smile. Before she could respond, he disappeared.
Li Mei looked at the ring in her hands and sighed in exasperation. This couple was really… well, she should be grateful for her cousin for marrying into a rich family. The amount of resources she had received as dowry was enough to buy their Li family multiple times over.
As she thought about this, her expression changed.
She wondered what grandpa would think if he was here. She chuckled. With how much grandpa liked Li Yao, he probably wouldn’t have let her get married to brother-in-law in the first place. It was only because he was dead that she could get such resources. She then fell to her knees and started sobbing.
Xiang Yu, who had not left but was watching from afar, had a strange expression. “What’s wrong with her?” he wondered before sighing and deciding to let her be, disappearing from his position.
