Chapter 381: New Body Cultivation Meta
Chapter 381: New Body Cultivation Meta
Xiang Yu sat beside the spirit vein, watching space crack and splinter as he moved his palm. He clenched his fist, forcing the fractures to disappear and healing the broken space around him.
His physical strength was truly getting out of control now.
The worst part was having no point of reference since he had never heard of anyone breaking through to the thirtieth layer of body refining. It seemed like the entire body refining system was broken. He was advancing through realms, but only by forcing his way through with his transcendent body’s potential and the system’s experience doubling.
It seemed body refining was never meant to go this far.
He could manage for now, but as this continued, his body would become so powerful that even his wife would be in danger during their exercises.
There was only one solution he could think of – he needed to pioneer a new body cultivation meta. He had to create a new cultivation system around body refining, a way for his body to grow stronger while still being able to control all that power within it.
For this task, he wouldn’t just gather various techniques and merge them together.
He didn’t want some special physique either.
He was going to live up to his reputation as the only researcher in existence and forge an entirely new cultivation path. The main reason he chose this difficult route instead of taking shortcuts was simple – if he gained some kind of unique physique, it would probably only work for him and be impossible to replicate.
His wife wouldn’t be able to benefit from it.
Since she also had quite the physical build, he wanted to create something that could help her too. Maybe even the next generation of disciples in his sect could benefit. He remembered how the disciples had fought the day before and smiled to himself.
“Hehehe, those bodies. Others can’t see it, but I can. They have real potential for body cultivation.” Many people looked down on body cultivation, but from what he had witnessed, this was the real deal.
As he was thinking this, he noticed his expression becoming strange and quickly straightened himself. He scratched his head, wondering if he would eventually turn into one of those muscle freaks at the gym.
He sighed deeply. Creating a brand new cultivation system probably wasn’t possible right now, and it would likely stay that way for quite a while.
Even so, he would try his best.
He should be able to control his physical strength fairly well for some time – up to maybe the fiftieth layer. After that point, maybe he would have already found a way to deal with this problem more permanently.
…
Xiang Yu sat in a meditative posture, deep in thought.
At the moment, he could condense pure blood essence three times a day. He had already done so once for Li Mei and his martial aunt, meaning he had two uses left. He wondered what to do with the remaining opportunities.
He could always save them, but that would be wasteful and wouldn’t increase the number of essences he could condense the following day. Well, technically it could, but it would slow down the rate at which his bloodline power grew, which Xiang Yu didn’t want. The number of essences he could condense each day was calculated from the fusions occurring in his bloodline, choosing a number that didn’t cause much harm to his overall progress.
At the moment, it would be better to upgrade two clones to pure blood, giving them his thirty-fifth layer of body refining while he was at it. As he considered this, a better idea crossed his mind.
He shook his head, how could he have forgotten? He had rewarded his martial aunt but not his master. He decided to give his master the dragon bloodline so he wouldn’t lose out to his martial aunt too much.
For the phoenix bloodline, he would give it as a reward to the best performing disciple during the earlier showcase. Although it seemed a little excessive for a mere disciple, Xiang Yu didn’t care.
As for the remaining bloodline essence…
Xiang Li appeared before Xiang Yu. She reached out to him and was instantly absorbed back into his body. In the next second, she was recreated once again, but this time much stronger, with the thirty-fifth layer of body refining and pure blood dragon and phoenix bloodlines.
Originally, after his Cloning 2.0 was released, he had destroyed the lightning, metal, and earth clones to create clones number one, two, and three. After that, he destroyed the fire clone to make clone number four, and finally the ice clone to make Xiang Li.
With two clones already permanently lost, this left him with three clones, the wood clone, the water clone, and the light clone. These were the only remaining non-bloodline clones. He decided that he would transform them slowly. Since they were already quite useful as is, he wasn’t in any hurry.
For clones one through four, Xiang Yu felt that the number system was too confusing, so he just named them according to what they did. The first one would be the runesmith clone, the second would be the blacksmith clone, the third would be the formations clone, and the fourth one would be the alchemy clone. As for Xiang Li, well, she was just Xiang Li.
She was also the cooking clone.
With the bloodline issue sorted out, Xiang Yu had another matter to deal with.
This was the problem with the disciples. Before, he felt that the older disciples were being left behind by the new talented disciples and was looking for a way to address it. Although he hadn’t yet managed to get some of the things he was searching for – like pills that increased talent, he had something else that would help bridge the gap while he worked on it.
He raised his palm and the space tower appeared.
He had been hoarding it for too long. It was time for this thing to return to being the Heaven-Testing Pagoda.

“He had already done so once for Li Mei and his martial aunt” – as explained before, condensing both dragon and phoenix essence counts as once.
I like the idea of pioneering a new body cultivation system. Reminds me of Kim Young-hoon from rtoc
