Xiang Yu’s expression twisted once he entered the demon sealing tower. The whole interior was filled with demonic energy.
The demonic energy instantly rushed at him the moment he entered, trying to worm its way into his body. Xiang Yu activated his Yin Yang Harmony Divine Ability, inversing the contents of the energy surrounding him and creating a barrier of pure light energy around him as he quickly jumped back out of the tower.
He stood there for a moment, wondering what to do now. This place needed to be thoroughly purified before it could be even remotely usable. With his current clone body, he couldn’t channel enough of the Yin Yang Harmony Divine Ability to cleanse the entire structure. He would need to wait until his main body awakened to properly purify such a massive accumulation of demonic energy.
“Now, how do I do this?” he muttered to himself, studying the tower before him.
Although he possessed more than enough physical strength to simply uproot the entire tower and carry it away, he seriously doubted that was the intended method. This was clearly some sort of treasure, which meant it must have proper methods for handling.
Deciding to investigate further, Xiang Yu activated his Appraisal ability to examine the treasure more closely. What he discovered made his eyes widen with excitement – the tower was actually a Heavenly Grade Treasure!
However, his initial enthusiasm dampened somewhat as he read through the additional information. First, the treasure wasn’t designed as either a defensive or offensive weapon, but rather functioned as some sort of spatial storage device. Even more disappointing was the fact that the treasure had suffered significant damage over time and was probably only a low level Divine Weapon now.
Still, that didn’t matter much to him since he was primarily interested in all the valuable items stored inside. Thanks to his Heavenly Grade appraisal ability, he now understood exactly how to operate the treasure properly.
Xiang Yu extended his qi toward the massive structure, and to his satisfaction, the tower began to respond. Slowly but steadily, it shrank down to a manageable size before floating gently into his outstretched palm. Now he could transport it much more easily without scaring the disciples.
Perhaps he should inform his martial aunt about this so the disciples don’t panic when they notice the tower has vanished.
As he flew back to the spirit vein, Xiang Yu carefully examined the miniaturized treasure in his hand. Through his appraisal, he had also learned how to retrieve objects from the treasure, similar to how one would access a spatial ring. However, since the treasure didn’t actually belong to him, he found himself unable to access its contents.
This puzzled him greatly. Usually, when you killed the owner of a spatial ring, you could immediately access everything stored inside. But he couldn’t penetrate this treasure’s defenses even after eliminating the demon god.
This could only mean one of three things.
First, the demon god wasn’t actually dead. Xiang Yu was quite doubtful of this explanation, considering he had done absolutely everything within his power to ensure the demon god’s destruction. If the demon god had somehow survived all of that, then it was probably truly immortal.
Second, the treasure hadn’t belonged to the demon god in the first place – he had merely been borrowing it from someone else. This would be by far the most terrifying scenario.
If, for example, the demon god had been sent here by some powerful being who actually owned this treasure, then that mysterious entity would have to possess incredible strength.
Having their belongings in his possession would be like sitting on a disaster waiting to happen. Moreover, would that being somehow know that he had killed the demon god and completely ruined whatever plans they had been pursuing?
Xiang Yu sighed heavily just thinking about it.
The third and final option was that Heavenly Grade treasures were simply built different and operated by different rules than ordinary spatial treasures. This was what Xiang Yu found himself leaning toward the most and hoped was the correct explanation.
After entering the spirit vein, Xiang Yu handed the miniaturized treasure over to his metal clone to attempt to refine it properly.

A few hours later at about dawn, the main Xiang Yu finally opened his eyes.
His soul energy had recharged somewhat after the prolonged rest, though he still felt the lingering effects of his earlier exertion.
He slowly sat up and reached for the spirit meals he had crafted for himself through the ice clone. The dishes had been specifically crafted to aid in soul recovery.
Xiang Yu devoured the meals quickly, although the taste was quite extraordinary, Xiang Yu didn’t care much about it and was more after the revitalizing effects they provided. After he was done eating, he put the plates away as the nourishing energy spread through his body.
It had been genuinely strange being unconscious while still maintaining consciousness through his multiple clones. The experience was difficult to describe – like being asleep and awake at the same time, multiplied across ten different perspectives.
YES, ten. After the dark clone had been released from Li Yao, he had made it into another wind clone, and this newest addition was now busy assisting the alchemy clone with pill production.
The wind clone that had been helping the metal clone approached and handed over the demon tower to the main body. Xiang Yu accepted the miniaturized treasure and started examining it.
The metal clone had only managed to refine about a quarter of the tower due to the persistent corruption of the demonic energy.
Well, now that he had recovered his strength, this should be much easier to handle.
Xiang Yu settled into a comfortable position and concentrated his energy. He activated the Yin Yang Harmony Divine Ability, channeling the technique at its maximum power.
Instantly, the tower lit up with a bright white light that got brighter and brighter with each passing moment. The dark energy that had saturated every corner of the treasure began transforming into light energy that Xiang Yu absorbed.
In just a few minutes, all traces of the demonic corruption had been completely eliminated.
Now came the hard part: refining the treasure into his own.
With the demonic energy gone, the process was significantly easier than before, though it still presented considerable challenges. After all, this was still a Heavenly Grade treasure despite its damaged condition.
After about an hour, Xiang Yu finally succeeded in completely refining the treasure. A bright smile spread across his face as he gazed at the treasure with anticipation.
“Kekeke, don’t disappoint me”
He could have explored the tower’s contents at any point after removing the demonic energy since it was already damaged. However, he had restrained himself, now it was finally time to collect his reward.
Xiang Yu sent his divine sense into the treasure, expanding his awareness throughout its vast storage space just as one would explore a spatial ring. As his divine sense swept through chamber after chamber of stored items, his smile brightened more and more with each discovery.
As expected of someone known as a Demon God, he certainly hadn’t disappointed. The storage space was absolutely packed with incredible resources: rare herbs and precious spirit metals reaching all the way up to first grade quality, concentrated bloodline essences from powerful magical beasts, various types of crystals including space crystals, time crystals, spirit crystals, and soul crystals, beast cores, thousands upon thousands of cultivation manuals and scrolls, and an enormous variety of other treasures and artifacts.
Xiang Yu could barely contain his eagerness to begin using all these items immediately.
Still, there were some things to consider. Due to the constant exposure to demonic energy within the tower over many years, some of the more sensitive items like herbs had become corrupted by the demonic energy.
Well, he supposed he could use his divine ability to reverse the corruption process and restore the items to their original state. Though looking more closely at some of the severely affected materials, he suspected that several of them might be beyond saving.
