Chapter 3415: The Whole Story

Fang Heng listened to the elder’s story and fell into deep thought.
Void Clan...
Origin Power...
He now understood why the power system of the Evil God was related to the Origin Power but was also somewhat different. It turned out the Evil God didn’t really know its own origin, only calling that kind of power "Void Power."
No wonder they could absorb power from the void remnants and were desperately searching for void crystals.
So, the Endless Domain was actually a super-sized special space created by an explosion, which explained why this space was so vastly different from the outside world.
Thinking more carefully,
He understood why he could fuse Origin Power while the previous Beetle King could not.
Because he possessed the Void Body skill and had a trace of Void Clan bloodline, by virtue of this bloodline, he controlled a small amount of Origin Power.
His thoughts were now clear.
But there was still a bigger question in this story.
Who was the one stealing the Void Clan’s Origin Power and secretly releasing the evil thoughts?
Also, the entire story had no connection to the Origin Orb at all.
So what was the Origin Orb he sensed about then?
Had he simply sensed it wrong?
Fang Heng looked up and asked, "Elder, is this your experience?"
"Yes. Our clan suffered huge backlash during battles with the abyss giant beasts; half our people died, our strength greatly declined, and we completely lost the means to communicate with our kin. All we could do was temporarily seal the fused Void Abomination."
"We didn’t expect that over time, after fusion, the Void Abomination’s strength increased greatly, and we lost the best chance to deal with it once and for all."
Brutus sighed deeply, looked at Fang Heng with a hint of nostalgia in his eyes, and said, "I’m glad to see you. It means the Void Clan’s bloodline still has inheritance in the outside world, which is very important to my people and me."
Fang Heng fell silent again.
He was not from the Void Clan.
Having the Void Clan bloodline was just a game mechanic.
As for whether the Void Clan had been wiped out or not, that was uncertain.
Fang Heng narrowed his eyes, looked down again toward the black island in the center of the dark vortex, and asked, "Elder, the Void Abomination is on the floating island. If it could be destroyed, would you be able to leave here?"
"Perhaps," the elder shook his head slightly, "I don’t know that either."
"Have you tried?"
"Many times. We even tried to join forces with several Evil Gods from the Endless Domain to eliminate the Void Abomination."
Brutus shook his head gently, sighed, and continued, "In hindsight, that was the closest we ever came to success."
Homan, listening nearby, showed anger and said, "We trusted the Evil Gods too much. We never expected those Evil Gods to only pretend to cooperate, but suddenly turned on us during the effort to destroy the Void Abomination and stole the void prisms used to seal it."
"In that operation, they stole five of the void prisms used to seal the Void Abomination, causing heavy losses to our elite clan members. Our entire clan’s strength was severely weakened, and our control over the Void Abomination greatly diminished."
Fang Heng fell silent again.
This part of the story had never been mentioned by Pena or Zane.
The elder sighed deeply, regretting his past decisions. He pointed toward the center of the void vortex below.
"Fang Heng, look carefully there."
Fang Heng looked down and saw seven giant void prisms stabbed into the void black fog around the edges of the continent, not clearly visible.
Was it a combined sealing magic array?
It appeared the void prisms acted together as the source of energy for the formation, sealing the central Void Abomination.
Suddenly, Fang Heng noticed tiny crystal fragments continuously precipitating in the space around the void prisms.
The fragments melted into the space under the influence of the black fog ripple, cracking and popping, eventually consumed by spatial explosions.
"Void crystals?"
"Yes. With our current power, we can only seal the Void Abomination to keep it asleep. The energy ripples it releases and the sealing power from the prisms cause the formation of these crystals containing small amounts of void energy."
"We need to constantly absorb and recycle the energy of the crystals to suppress the Void Abomination. But for tens of centuries, the Evil Gods have been very interested in these void crystals. They repeatedly intrude into the void’s end through various rituals to steal them."
"Although our clan can extract some Origin Power from the void to replenish the prisms’ consumption, the extraction speed is too slow to keep up with the consumption. As the sealing power weakens, perhaps after more than a hundred thousand years, the Void Abomination will fully awaken."
"Elder, I want to try. Maybe we can work together to destroy the Void Abomination."
"You?"
Brutus looked at Fang Heng and shook his head with a bitter smile.
"Truly, ignorance is fearless."
He admitted Fang Heng was quite strong, even able to contend with the Wheel of Void, but to fight the Void Abomination?
Impossible.
"Too difficult."
"How do you know without trying?"
Fang Heng said and leapt down from the height, flying rapidly toward the center of the vortex below.
"Stop!"
Homan was startled and took a step forward to chase, but Brutus raised a hand to stop him.
"Elder?"
Brutus watched Fang Heng speed toward the Black Fog zone in the vortex center and nodded, "Let him try then."
"But elder, this man was sent by the will of the Evil God. Do you really trust him? Isn’t it dangerous to let him near the Void Abomination? What if his target is the void prisms, then we..."
Brutus raised his hand, stopping Homan from continuing.
"This is also a test for him. If he really comes for the void prisms, then it means our Void Clan’s fate includes this calamity... ahem..."
Brutus coughed violently, clutching his chest.
Homan immediately went forward to support him, looking worried, "Elder, are you alright?"
Brutus waved his hand.
"I’m fine."
Brutus knew very well that his strength had been slowly declining for centuries. The recent battle with Fang Heng had caused a severe backlash, shortening his life by decades.
His remaining time was limited.
Fang Heng flew extremely fast and soon reached the black continent above the vortex center.
At first glance, it looked like a black continent, but it was actually shrouded by dense Black Fog.
The closer he got, the more he perceived the terrifying Void Power emanating from the Black Fog.
