Chapter 3414: Void

"Yes, that’s them. The wills of the Evil Gods were born from the void. To obtain Origin Power, they stopped at nothing. They invaded the void vortex countless times through various means and slaughtered our people. If we didn’t still need to guard the seal and could leave the End of the Void, we would have wiped them out long ago."
Fang Heng’s pupils tightened as he looked at Brutus.
He had found a clue!
This was the first time he had heard Origin Power mentioned by an alien race!
This trip had not been in vain.
As for the grudges between the Void Clan and the Evil Gods of the Endless Domain, he couldn’t be bothered with them.
Both sides told their own version of events, and they fought to the death whenever they met—it was obvious the hatred had lasted a long time.
The good news was that since the elder had mistaken him for a member of the Void Clan, there was finally a basis for communication.
Fang Heng’s tone eased as he said, "Elder, you’re mistaken. I have nothing to do with the Void Evil Gods. I only used their power to enter the End of the Void. I came here looking for something."
"Oh? What thing?"
"The Origin Orb. I wonder if you’ve heard of it."
"Origin Orb..."
Brutus repeated the name softly and shook his head, "No, I think you’re mistaken. I have never heard of the Origin Orb."
Really...
Fang Heng felt a bit disappointed.
But on second thought, it was possible the Void Clan was hiding something from him, or perhaps they simply didn’t know what the orb was.
Either way, he still needed to go to the black vortex at the End of the Void to confirm.
Fang Heng asked again, "Then do you know of a large, special arthropod-type creature? I believe it possesses Origin Power."
Brutus frowned, but before he could speak, a young clansman stepped forward and questioned Fang Heng, "And you still say you have nothing to do with the Evil Gods of the Endless Domain? How do you know about the Void Abomination? What do you intend to do to it!?"
Hearing this, Fang Heng felt a surge of joy.
Found it!
So that thing was called the Void Abomination.
"Homan! Stand down!"
Brutus rebuked Homan sharply, then looked at Fang Heng, "If we’re not mistaken, you’re referring to the Void Abomination. Why are you looking for it?"
Fang Heng shrugged and decided to speak frankly. "To obtain power. I came to the Endless Domain in search of Origin Power."
Brutus stared at Fang Heng for a moment, then slowly turned around.
"I see. I understand now. Come with me, clansman. I can tell you some things."
As he spoke, faint ripples appeared in the space before the elder.
A one-way teleportation passage emerged in the star-sea space.
...
Fang Heng followed the Void Clan through the spatial passage in the starry sea and entered a spatial palace built on a floating island.
Elder Brutus led Fang Heng out of the palace and toward the island’s edge.
At the elder’s gesture, Fang Heng looked down below the floating island—and his expression shifted slightly.
The island was located directly above a massive void vortex.
From here, he could clearly see the central region of the black vortex below.
Fang Heng frowned.
At the center of the vortex at the End of the Void was a black floating continent.
Black mist curled over the continent, carrying extremely terrifying fluctuations of Origin Power.
"That is the End of the Void. The Void Abomination is coiled there, and the Evil Gods of the Endless Domain were also born there."
The elder looked at the vortex center shrouded in black mist. As memories surfaced, he said softly, "I can no longer remember how many centuries I’ve guarded the seal on the Void Abomination. My clansman, I have a story, would you like to hear it?"
"Of course, Elder. Please go ahead."
"Do you know the laws that govern the world?"
Fang Heng froze for a moment.
The laws of the world?
Jumping straight to something so big?
"We believe that the world operates upon the void. The birth of the world began at the Source of the Void. The Source of the Void is the foundation of all things and bears spatial power."
"Our clan was born from the Source of the Void and lived in the Void Land. You can consider it a special world."
"We were born with powerful spatial talent and the ability to control Origin Power. Through this ability, we gained great strength and became one of the world’s top races. But we disliked war. We spent most of our time in the Void Land, guarding the Source of the Void."
"Until one day, an alien avoided our perception through special means and infiltrated the Source of the Void, forcibly absorbing its power."
"When we discovered the intruder, it was too late. Although we severely injured him, when we returned, we realized that a large portion of the Source of the Void’s power had been siphoned away—and he had also left behind some unknown contaminant."
"The contaminant severely corroded the essence of the Source. Because much of its power had been extracted and further weakened by pollution, the Source of the Void began to mutate. Our clan had to exhaust all efforts to stabilize it, preventing the world from collapsing."
"The situation grew worse. After some time, our clan tracked the missing portion of the Source using our racial sensing ability."
"Since most clansmen had to stay behind to reinforce the void, my clan took on the urgent mission. I led over two hundred clansmen to forcibly tear open a spatial passage and teleport close to the stolen energy source, attempting to recover the Source."
"But after teleporting, we didn’t find the intruder. Instead, we encountered an abyssal giant beast from another dimension."
"Perhaps influenced by Origin Power, the abyssal giant beast had fused with part of that power and mutated."
"Unfortunately, while we fought the beast, someone ambushed us. They released extradimensional evil thoughts in secret, trying to invade our minds."
"Though I was able to resist the evil thoughts, most of my clansmen were affected. In the end, we lost control of our manipulation of Origin Power, resulting in a violent spatial explosion. The entire dimensional space was torn apart in the blast."
"The torn space became the Endless Domain where we now stand."
"At the same time, within the explosion, the evil thoughts fused with the Source of the Void and formed the various Evil Gods of the Endless Domain. They gained their own wills and fled in madness."
"The remaining ancient evil thoughts, together with the leftover Origin Power and the abyssal giant beast’s corpse, continued to fuse for tens of thousands of years before forming the Void Abomination."
"The Void Abomination born from that fusion possessed terrifying power. To prevent it from escaping the Endless Domain, I led my clansmen to remain here and seal the Void Abomination as well as the surrounding region."
