"14. And he doesn’t look like he’s going to leave soon," Zi Mengyao said in a small voice. "Brother Xianhai, you might’ve met your match."
"He already met his match with that lady over there," Luo Sheng said, gesturing to Helen, who was focused on Alex’s performance.
Fang Xianhai said nothing. He simply watched in rapt attention. At this point, he had already failed at showing how much better he was, so he could only do that later on in the actual test. The competition wasn’t to see who had the highest number of Daos, but to see who could learn one the fastest.
And that was something Fang Xianhai was going to prove himself at.
"All three of those ladies showed incredible results," Jin Haoran said. "Does anyone have any idea who they are? I don’t think I’ve ever seen them before today."
"I can’t even come up with a guess. If I had to, I would say they are juniors from other worlds brought here for the sake of this test," Xu Tianle said. "We don’t need to concern ourselves with them most likely."
That was a valid option, so everyone considered it the truth for now.
The 15th ping came from Alex, and everyone’s attention flew right back toward the platform as they waited to see how many more Daos Alex had left in him.

With Metal being the last remaining element, Alex went through all of them.
There were 10 in total.
Dao of Metal. Dao of Cutting. Dao of Malleability. Dao of Ductility. Dao of Sharpness. Dao of Magnetism. Dao of Reflection. Dao of Alloy. Dao of Conduction. And Dao of Rust.
As Alex used each one of them, each one was accepted.
Instantly, his 14 total Daos jumped to 24. In less than a minute, he had already beaten his mother’s record and used 3 more than her.
And there were more to go.

"24..." Riftblade could only stare at the results in awe. "How is this possible?"
The man who stood next to him didn’t have a method of seeing what was happening, so he could only watch Riftblade’s expression and guess at the information.
Riftblade tried to understand how Alex could possibly have had the time to learn this many Daos. He was barely 2000 years old, and even that wasn’t correct if what he had heard regarding his 1000 years of absence was true. In that instance, he had learned 24 Daos while being less than a thousand years old.
"This freak of a kid," Riftblade said in awe. "Just how talented is he?"
Just as he asked that question, the number inside the medallion jumped.
"What?" Riftblade could only ask out loud in surprise, causing the others to be distracted and look toward him. "Is he not done yet?"
The others didn’t know what was happening, but Riftblade could see clearly.
Alex still had many more Daos to register.

After the various Daos of the 5 elements, Alex moved on to the other elements. The first of those was the Yang Daos.
Despite having a body that dealt mainly with Yang, Alex didn’t have many Yang Daos at all. The only ones he had were the Dao of Yang and the Dao of Yang Heat.
Both of them were accepted.
As for Yin Daos, he had two as well.
Dao of Yin and Dao of Death.
Once Alex registered those two, he moved on to the Daos of Time and Space.
He knew 5 Space Daos and 4 Time Daos.
The 6 Space Daos he knew were the Dao of Space, Dao of Spatial Expansion, Dao of Spatial Contraction, Dao of Spatial Distortion, Dao of Spatial Awareness and Dao of Teleportation.
Alex tried all of those and was accepted.
Before moving on to the Time Daos, Alex paused for a moment and used another aura. He began using the aura for the 6th Space Dao he understood, but it wasn’t accepted.
While Alex was close to learning the Dao of Spatial Release, he hadn’t actually learned it, and thus the artifact didn’t register it.
Alex didn’t spend too much time thinking about it and moved on to the Time Daos next.
The 4 Time Daos he knew were the Dao of Time, Dao of Temporal Swiftness, Dao of Temporal Stillness, and Dao of Time Awareness.
Once Alex was done producing the final Time Dao aura, he had used a total of 38 Daos.
"Okay..." Alex said slowly as he took a deep breath. "What else do I have?"

Outside, the constant pings had long since silenced the people all around, none of whom knew how to react to what they were seeing. The situation was just so absurd that people believed Alex had to be cheating in some way.
But if he was cheating, the Divinities who had to be monitoring the situation outside should have realized it already and taken some action. The fact that nothing was being done about the ongoing situation made many understand that what was happening was real.
"How... how is this possible?"
Even the most silent of the group of talented younger generation, Lan Suyin, couldn’t help but cry out in surprise. She looked toward the others, whose attention was directed at the artifact and Alex. No one was in a state of mind to answer her.
38 was simply an unreal amount. In fact, many of them had long since lost count of the number of Daos. The fact that it didn’t stop at all had taken over all of their thoughts, preventing them from even counting.
Only one person there counted.
Fang Xianhai.
While he still held some confidence in himself and his ability to learn new Daos, if he was to compete against someone like this, what were the chances that he could actually succeed?
What confidence he had before had been peeled away layer after layer, leaving him with nothing at all.
And just when he thought he still had some confidence left in himself, there was another ping.
Alex wasn’t done just yet.
