This left Phoenix Emperor in an awkward position since he was a top cultivator in Beastmaster World, definitely among the top five. He had control over the fate of countless beings and kingdoms but these two paid no attention to him.
Nevertheless, he maintained his composure and bowed again: “Fellow Daoists, may I ask which world you are from? My apologies for the lack of reception.”
His Beastmaster World didn’t stand out in Heaven Realm. Moreover, anyone strong enough was free to visit.
Thus, he speculated that these two must be from a different world, having never heard of him before.
“We’re just passing by.” Li Qiye finally looked at him and smiled, confirming his speculation.
Of course, he wasn’t here to cause trouble. He also paid attention to the multi-colored carp. He was sure this was part of the kingdom’s prophecy.
“Fellow Daoist, this is Rainbow Kingdom and the carp in your hand just happens to be our auspicious fish. Please be benevolent and return it to us.”
“Are you sure this is your kingdom’s auspicious fish?” Li Qiye had a smile of amusement.
As an honest person, the emperor became awkward and smiled wryly: “Fellow Daoist, our progenitor, Rainbow True Dragon, left a carp in this river during the foundation of our kingdom. It is an auspicious symbol.”
“Don’t be a bad boy and lie now.” Li Qiye shook his head.
“Fellow Daoist, we are grateful if you would return the carp to us. We will fulfill any of your requests as long as it is within our ability.” The emperor had no choice but to insist.
“No, it isn’t your auspicious fish.” Li Qiye said.
“...” The emperor paused for a moment before asking: “Fellow Daoist, please just give it to us.”
“Looks like I won’t be leaving Rainbow Kingdom if I don’t hand it over.” Li Qiye smirked.
“Fellow Daoist, the carp has utmost importance in our kingdom. I will have to offend you if you insist on refusing.” The emperor said.
“No problem, I want to see how you will offend me.” Li Qiye smiled.
“How about this, we will spar until there’s a winner.” The emperor took a deep breath and said, still showing no sign of anger.
“No need for that, I’m afraid I won’t hold back well enough.” Li Qiye said.
“Go.” Xiaoyue stood up, staring at the emperor.
The latter was frustrated since he couldn’t read the female servant.
“Miss, please take out your weapon.” The emperor said politely, confident in beating any ancient ancestor.
“If I show you my weapon, you won’t even have the chance to strike. I’m only telling you to go so you can be mentally prepared for the incoming beating.” She said.
“You!” Her dismissive tone finally angered him.
“Miss, then I will overestimate myself and witness your techniques.” He once again showed his well-mannered nature. Another ancient ancestor might have erupted in a fit of rage and started killing.
“Clank!” Waterfalls of swords descended from the sky behind him. Each had a five-colored radiance, expanding continuously and blotting out the area.
His sword energy alone could engulf numerous kingdoms.
“Miss, be ready!” He prepared to unleash his ultimate attack, sending the waterfalls in her direction.
“Bam!” She swung her hand, shattering his waterfalls into nothingness.
He couldn’t even see her technique or power affinity. Thus, he reacted by retreating.
“Splash!” Unfortunately, she pushed him down into the river with one hand.
He mustered all his strength but couldn’t lift her hand, feeling like an insect being pushed down by a true dragon. She somehow overpowered and turned him into a mortal, gulping mouthfuls of water and drowning.
Once he drank enough, she released her grip and tossed him onto the riverbank. He barely escaped death and vomited water.
Once he recovered his senses, he saw her standing next to Li Qiye, still looking like a servant. He thought to himself that he could withstand one move from a supreme overlord. Just who the hell were these two visitors?
