Chapter 4580: Reckless Divinations?
Chapter 4580: Reckless Divinations?
Myria and the others were traversing the map slowly and steadily as they rode on Nadia. It was barely an hour after they left the basin of the False Dawn Harbinger.
"Is this really okay?"
However, someone asked.
Everyone turned to look at Tia.
"We’re just going to leave him there?" Tia’s lips quivered, her beautiful purple eyes looking scary.
"Tia..." Isabella pursed her lips, contacting her through Nadia, "I know you’re worried and want to punch through mountains in order to get to him. I feel the same. But don’t be mistaken and get yourself into trouble. If we remain hidden in one piece, then he should be free of worries and be able to make it back to us."
"I know...!" Tia’s eyes turned moist, "But this isn’t such a wishful place. Primarch-level existences are lurking about every nearly every few hundred thousand kilometers. Any single one of them could destroy Big Brother’s body. What if he ends up trapped? What if he isn’t able to move...?"
She asked, causing the others’ hearts to shake.
"You want to perform divination to find him?" Myria asked calmly.
She felt like she had to be calm or risk untoward happenings.
"I do." Tia took a breath, "I promise I won’t be direct and endanger us. Just leave it to me. I know how to get to him without receiving any backlash."
She said with a determined voice.
Only she knew the pain of losing him- or at least she thought she did. She could never forget the storybook. It wasn’t real, but the emotions she felt couldn’t be any more real.
Myria and Isabella stared at her. They glanced at each other before nodding. There was no way they were going to let Davis be alone in this forsaken world despite what he said, but for his sake, they hadn’t made a move until Tia made up her mind.
Right now, what they needed was her divination arts, or they wouldn’t even know where they were going and could even miss him halfway.
"There shouldn’t be much danger ahead, Zenova." Isabella turned to look, "You should be able to cross by yourself with your wits. My apologies for not being able to accompany you."
Fairy Thunderblaze turned to look into the distance before her lips curled, "Traveling with you is fun. I’ll accompany you."
"This isn’t a game. We could all die." Myria warned.
"Perfect." Fairy Thunderblaze giggled before she walked over to Nadia and touched her, "I’ll depend on you like before to conceal me if something happens."
Nadia shook her head, "That was a one-time special, but if you agree to help master no matter the situation, then I’ll allow you on my back."
"You have a deal." Fairy Thunderblaze smiled, "I have lots and lots of things planned. Without him, most of these plans wouldn’t move forward, so I need him as much as you, but for all the wrong reasons~"
"..." Nadia could only blink at the other party’s honesty.
Nonetheless, she knew Fairy Thunderblaze was extremely strong. Although she couldn’t be a match for Primarch-level existences, the same could be said about everyone here, but what Nadia needed from her was her wits. Her brains couldn’t be underestimated.
Tia plucked her own hair. She held a strand of blonde hair and extended it out, holding it firmly.
"There is utmost happiness to be found- using the safest path to traverse- danger that can be avoided- heaven and earth will cleave through the veil to reveal thy grace~"’
Tia chanted in the Sky Word Language, her voice superimposing on itself with each syllable uttered. But to the others, they couldn’t hear anything except nonsense. Her words didn’t make sense at all. However, they knew her words were being concealed or encrypted by another dimension, so no one else could tell what she was saying.
Their expressions were solemn.
Even Fairy Thunderblaze knew that every act of divination, even the most meaningless divinations, still had backlash. Yet, this little Mystic Diviner was bold enough to do it without any sort of divination instrument to withstand the backlash. Time and time again, she was astonished by Tia’s way of divination, which seemed to be no different than courting death.
Almost quickly, the heaven and earth energy around them began resonating strangely. The world was responding to her magical words. For Tia to request to peer into the veil of fate, they knew she had to have mastered Space Laws, Time Laws, and Karma Laws. It wasn’t an easy feat to achieve.
A wave of wind surged around them, and Tia’s hair began flicking in a strange direction. That single hair strand pointed in a direction but weaved at certain points, making for a pathway.
Tia released her hand, and the hair strand turned into ashes.
"We know the way now. Let’s go."
Isabella, Myria, and Fairy Thunderblaze’s eyes were wide in shock.
She really did divine without incurring any backlash.
However, if Davis were here using his karmic eyes, he would’ve seen a humongous spatial maw trying to bite Tia from above as its jaws twitched, moments away from ripping her to shreds. Fortunately, the humongous spatial maw didn’t seem to be able to make that final move, so it hovered away after the divination ended.
Tia led the group.
They avoided danger with Nadia’s concealment, but they were able to stay away from Primarch-level existences generally.
She divined three more times, and each time, she looked as though she was about to be swallowed whole and ripped to shreds by strange creatures that weren’t seen by the plain eyes. However, that never took place.
The journey was so smooth that Myria and Isabella couldn’t help but wonder if they should’ve used divination from the beginning, but when they asked Tia about it, she shook her head and said big brother Davis was right.
"I am not divining a way out of danger. I am divining for my happiness. Backlash is one thing, but we could still die from the path we take, from my selfish motives~" She giggled.
"..."
Her bold, carefree nature after using divination always left them speechless. Even Fairy Thunderblaze knew not to underestimate this girl.
Finally, they arrived before that waterfall and spotted a purple-robed silhouette.
Instantly, they knew it was Davis since Tia was searching for something as vague as her utmost happiness, and it came like a tidal wave, hitting her with his image.
"Big brother!"
Tia flew towards him, wanting to throw herself at him.
However, she noticed the dark patches, wondering if he was injured. She quickly tried to touch him, but he moved back and asked.
"You- did you use divination?"
She was about to check him, but froze. Her body instinctively lowered her head from disobeying him, feeling guilty, but she forcefully raised her head.
"Yes, I’ll accept any punishment, but I won’t leave you in this terrifying world to be alone, big brother."
"Good... good... none of you would listen to me in a dangerous expedition. It seems like..."
Davis took a deep breath, his eyes wide and cold as he nodded. He held his tongue, shuddering, "Do you even know what kind of danger you could’ve faced? Can you even see... see those things?"
*Fzzz~*
Abruptly, the strange entities hovering around them turned to look at them.
A terrifying eye with a strange sigil mark for a pupil and tentacles over its eye-body that looked like karma threads passed through the mountainous force of the waterfall like it was nothing, and gazed at Davis. Beside them, over six to eight giant maws gathered, their razor-sharp teeth biting the air and twitching, seeking to devour.
"..."
None of them spoke.
Fairy Thunderblaze began to perspire. She suddenly felt as though she had sunk into an icy pitfall. This feeling... she categorized it as dread from the unknown.
"What are you talking about?" Tia’s heart shuddered as she laughed dryly, "There’s no such thing."
She said, implying with strong words.
Davis’s gaze was cold. He didn’t seem like he cared. But eventually, he sighed, unable to hold the face of a horror.
"If I don’t scare you all, you will all damn yourselves one day, especially you, Tia."
"..." Tia bit her lips, "I’m sorry. As long as you’re with us, I won’t do it..."
Davis narrowed his eyes, causing Tia to retreat and hide behind Isabella.
