Chapter 4236: More Ascenders
Chapter 4236: More Ascenders
Rean, Kentucky, and Celis looked at Roan, their expressions interesting. ’Are you going to miss us or something?’
Roan glared at them. ’I’ll miss the silence I had before we ascended, when you were all in your own corners and didn’t bother me. Enough bullshit. They are a big power, so it will be a good place to acquire information before we part ways. It is that simple.’
’Oh!’ Rean and the others had to admit it made sense.
Clanda wasn’t as happy, obviously. "Sigh... of course, you accepted. Who wouldn’t? Alright, come closer. I’m going to register you."
Clanda passed four rings to the twins’ group, but none of them was a Spatial Ring. Instead, those were their communication device. "Run your Celestial Energy through the ring, and it will send the information directly into your soul. You can share images and such with anyone who has a similar device. You just need to will it."
Rean couldn’t help but point out. "This is quite different from the Device I saw the guy using in the buffer zone."
Clanda agreed with him. "That device was made only to share information between the buffer zone and the outside. If you had paid attention, you would have seen the official who received you had a ring communicator as well. It’s just that it doesn’t work in the buffer zone. Oh, we usually cut the name short and simply call it RC."
"Ring Communicator or RC, got it," Rean said.
Without wasting time, the twins’ group sent their Celestial Energy into the RCs, and sure enough, all the options you could use to control the RCs appeared in their minds. They simply had to will it, and they could use its various functions.
Rean turned to Kentucky, and he willed the information he was seeing to be shown to Kentucky as well. Both RC seemed to connect instantly, and the information appeared in Kentucky’s mind, sharing space with the information from his own RC.
"Wow... this is far more advanced than the communication devices we saw in our Home Great Void," Kentucky commented.
"Indeed. The closest to it we found down there were the brain implants of the Snow World in F956. These rings, however, have no need for such things," Rean added. "Senior Clanda, is this somewhat related to Jade Slips. The information reaching our minds feels a little like when you check a Jade Slip."
"Aren’t you a smart boy?" Clanda nodded. "It is similar indeed, but a lot more practical."
Roan had another doubt. "Is this RC connected to some kind of network? And if it is, how big is the network?"
Clanda understood his question. "It is connected to a network indeed. And I know what you mean. No, this network is not available all over the Celestial Plane. Our Besgol Region has its own network, and usually we can’t communicate with other regions. It is not that it isn’t possible, but that it would be too expensive to keep our region connected to other regions nonstop."
"There are ways of contacting other regions, of course. We are nothing but tiny pockets, so we need each other’s support in dangerous times. Once every fifteen days, we use a Long Distance Communication Array to send reports of the conditions of our Besgol Pocket Region to the other regions nearby. Naturally, we also receive their reports every fifteen days. Anyway, you will learn more about it after you get to the sect."
"You call it a pocket region?" Kentucky noticed that addition.
"Because that is the truth," and Clanda confirmed. "Take your time to learn more about the environment in the Celestial Plane later. Calling our Besgol Region a Pocket Region is, in fact, quite a generous remark. You will see."
Suddenly, Rean and the others saw a new piece of information pop into their minds, coming from their RCs.
-Wangamiglia Sect Registration completed.-
With that, they also saw new IDs connected to their new positions as disciples of the sect. Several pieces of information could be found under their names as well. The most glaring one was their Home Great Void, which was indeed called Vinx.
*Bzzz...*
Rean was just about to ask something else when the Array under them activated.
Seeing that, Clanda quickly spoke to them. "Alright, you guys go and wait in the room of my Wangamiglia Sect. There are new ascenders coming. At the end of the day, someone will come to fetch you and the others."
The twins’ group nodded, and they stepped down. There were various rooms with big windows, and their doors had the names of the powers who used them. The Wangamiglia Sect, obviously, had one of those rooms, and the twins’ group walked there.
Once in the room, they looked through the windows and saw another two new Ascenders appearing on the Array. The various representatives quickly swarmed those two, especially the woman on the left. From the looks of it, she had a Yellow Aptitude, and as an ascender, she became everyone’s priority. The guy on the right was only a Gray Aptitude, but he also received several offers.
In the end, neither of them selected the Wangamiglia Sect, and Clanda returned to his seat to wait for the next ascenders. He didn’t seem sad about not getting those two, as hundreds of new ascenders arrived each day. Failing to recruit someone wasn’t anything new to any of the powers there.
"It feels quite weird, don’t you think?" Someone suddenly asked the twins’ group from behind.
They turned around, seeing another ascender who had selected their Wangamiglia Sect.
The guy continued, lying against the window and looking outside. "We were absolute top experts in our Great Voids, but here, we are seen as nothing but new disciples. It sure makes one remind of their first time cultivating."
Rean smiled at the man. "Indeed. I will never forget the first sect I joined in the mortal world. Hello, friend. I’m Rean Larks. These are Roan, Kentucky, and Celis."
The man nodded at them. "I’m Flutio, just Flutio. I’m from Jarrel Great Void." He then willed it, and the twins’ group was shown his ID information through the RC.
"Nice to meet you." Rean did the same, showing his group’s IDs.
Flutio was one of the seven other experts in that room at the moment. Obviously, they had all selected the Wangamiglia Sect. That was a good opportunity to learn more about other ascenders, too.
