Chapter 3823: Need To Hide
Chapter 3823: Need To Hide
This Spatial Gate didn’t appear inside the Quasar. After all, Rean was just barely strong enough to fend off the Quasar’s power when he was a hundred thousand light-years away. This Spatial Gate appeared near the Super Massive Black Hole at the center of the galaxy, so you could imagine the power of the Quasar itself. Even Rean would have been pulverized if he had appeared inside it.
So, Rean avoided the Quasar when he came out, but with that, another problem surged. He wasn’t inside the Quasar anymore, which was precisely the thing that hid his presence. He came out of his Spatial Gate with both Light and Divine Sense Bending Skills active, but the Spatial Gate itself couldn’t be hidden... especially the Umbras who started to rush out of it.
’Sister Orb!’ Rean asked straight away.
[On it! Yes, there are formations in place here, but there are only two of the detection type. They did detect the Spatial Gate, though. Get out of there. Someone will appear soon to check things.]
*Zush!*
Kentucky appeared by Rean’s side, the two ready already with a plan in mind. ’Let’s go!’
Since they weren’t inside the Quasar, there was no need for Kentucky to hide in the Dimensional Realm. Let’s not forget he is the fastest, so while Rean bent Light and Divine Senses, Kentucky was responsible for flying away from this place.
Not long after, Kentucky was already so far that they couldn’t even see the Spatial Gate anymore. He didn’t stop. This was still too close if that Celestial Realm Expert appeared.
*Pin!*
[Corrupted System Main Core detected. Connecting Key...]
Sure enough, the Celestial Soul System woke up, feeling the Corrupted System’s presence. Still, Rean and Kentucky had no time to pay attention to it.
*Crack, crack, crack...*
Suddenly, another Spatial Gate appeared, but no Umbras came out of it. Instead, an old woman stepped out, her eyes narrowing. In front of her, another Spatial Gate was open with many Umbras running rampant. The Umbras were all mindless types, so they cared for nothing. The moment they felt the woman’s presence, they all rushed at her.
"Hmph!" Countless blue flowers began to appear around the area, a weird energy emanating from them. That energy entered the Umbras’ bodies, and in the next instant, the Umbras seemed to disintegrate. The flowers continued to appear, eventually reaching the Spatial Gate where the Umbras were coming from.
The woman followed with her Spatial Powers, closing the Spatial Gate by force and killing the remaining Umbras in the surroundings. As for the Spatial Gate she used, it seemed to be somewhat special, as no Umbras came from inside it.𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
The woman then checked her surroundings, using her Divine Sense. "How did a Spatial Gate appear here?" There was nothing in her Divine Sense, so she couldn’t make sense of that event.
"Kunprio said the guy he was pursuing simply disappeared. Could it be the same guy?" Sure enough, she remembered the description Kunprio gave to the experts allowed to enter the Galaxy. It’s just that his description was of Roan’s changed appearance and aura, so other than the fact that they knew Roan existed, they didn’t know anything else.
*Crack, crack, crack...*
Another Spatial Gate appeared, and a man came out near the woman. "Rokerfa, did you find something?"
Rokerta shook her head in response. "Plinio, I just got here. What about you? Aren’t you a little too late?"
"I was a lot further away than you, and you know that," Plinio answered. Then, he also spread his Divine Sense, but he couldn’t find anything different. "Was it a Spatial Gate?"
Rekerfa confirmed, pointing to the location she had just closed the gate. "Yes, it was right here. You should be able to feel the remnants of Spatial Powers in this area."
"Yes..." Plinio concentrated. Then, he made a cutting motion with his hand exactly where the Spatial Gate had disappeared, opening a new one.
As one could expect, Umbras tried to rush out, but Rokerfa killed them all.
Plinio ignored that, entering the Spatial Gate. A few moments later, he returned and closed the Spatial Gate again. "The sealing runes are still working just fine, no signs of being tampered with. Couldn’t find anything that indicated they were forced open either."
"Then how did this Spatial Gate open?" Rokerfa asked back. "No one other than the ten of us should be able to enter this Galaxy with Spatial Gates. There aren’t many more who can open Spatial Gates without any repercussions in this Universe, either."
She was obviously referring to the experts responsible for monitoring the Corrupt System Galaxy. They had special standings and authority over the protection formation. Thus, they could open Spatial Gates from outside to the inside, but even that was restricted to a high degree.
Plinio looked in the direction of the Massive Blackhole, and could see the Quasar far in the distance, too. "This Massive Blackhole is quite unstable. It wouldn’t be the first time that an unexpected ripple of power would force an opening in space near it."
Normally, Rokerfa would agree with Plinio, especially since she arrived here just a few seconds after the gate opened and found nothing. But because of what happened to the Light Spreader those years ago, she was more cautious. "The guy was able to escape Kunprio, and he is the Universe Owner. I wouldn’t be surprised if this enemy also hid from us. Just because our Divine Senses can’t see the enemy, that doesn’t mean the enemy is not there."
Plinio’s expression also turned more serious, nodding. "Alright..." Then, he waved his hand.
*Zush, zush, zush, zush, zush...*
Over twenty Divinity Realm and more than a hundred Space-Time Realm experts appeared near him, all of them coming out of his Pocket Dimensional Realm. "Spread! We are looking for any suspicious movements. Make sure to report to me if you find anything at all."
Rokerfa was satisfied, and she also had her own plans. "I’ll leave this area to you. I’ll go check the region where the core is located, just in case." Without wasting time, she left.
Not too far away, Rean and Kentucky sighed in relief. Thanks to Kentucky’s speed, they just flew far enough so Rean could bend the Divine Senses of Rokerfa and Plinio. ’Don’t stop, Kentucky. We were lucky that they weren’t Celestial Realm Experts, but they most likely are Semi-Celestials. We don’t stand a chance against them.’
’What do you think I’m doing?’ Kentucky continued to fly as fast as possible while leaving no traces behind. ’Should we go after the Corrupted System’s Core?’
’No. For now, find somewhere to hide,’ Roan spoke from inside the Dimensional Realm. ’We need to have a good look at what will be the reaction of those protecting this place.’
