Chapter 845 - 23: Confirmation
Chapter 845: Chapter 23: Confirmation
The twilight of the setting sun cast a dim golden hue over the bloody battlefield, creating a poignant scene. With Duke Mars’s command, the coalition forces of Jade Land and Fran began to methodically clean up the battlefield.
Soldiers collected the bodies of their comrades, tallied the spoils, guarded the prisoners, and repaired the damaged fortifications. The air was filled with the smell of gunpowder, blood, and a slight sense of relief after victory.
Up in the sky, Vanilla and Space were like two jubilant streaks of light, instantly flying to Lynch’s side.
“Lynch! You looked pretty cool earlier!” Vanilla sheathed the giant sword and excitedly patted Lynch’s shoulder with familiarity. Her fiery eyes were full of admiration. “When that Rule Domain opened, those guys were just dumbfounded! Hahaha!”
Space also came up close, curiously circling around Lynch and blinking her big eyes, “Lynch, how did you do it? It felt like in the blink of an eye, you were so far ahead of us! Tell me, did you find some ancient secret treasure?”
Their lively actions provided a stark contrast to the solemn battlefield below, yet it also eased the heavy atmosphere brought by the war.
At this point, led by Jeraf, Kalsa, and Julia, a group of Mystical and Domain Wizards from Jade Land also drew near, respectfully bowing to Lynch. Everyone’s face was filled with excitement and awe.
Julia lowered her eyelids slightly and softly said, “Master.”
The Light Goddess Messiah still maintained her transcendent divinity. Unlike the others, she did not bow but merely nodded slightly in Lynch’s direction. Her silver-gray eyes flashed with an almost imperceptible wave, a greeting that signaled their special and close relationship.
An Arcane Master from the Blue Realm Wizard Domain, Erwin, along with a dozen other Domain Wizards, flew solemnly forward. First, they uniformly performed an ancient wizard’s salute to Lynch, an action full of humility.
Erwin took a deep breath, suppressing his inner shock, and asked with utmost solemnity, “Councilman Lynch… please forgive my intrusion, the power you executed just now, changing the heavens and earth, and prohibiting a domain’s rules… could it be, you have… stepped into the legendary Realm of Rules?”
This question expressed the heartfelt curiosity of all Fran Wizards, and even the Jade Land Wizards listening intently below. Despite witnessing and experiencing it firsthand, they still needed the most accurate answer from Lynch.
Under numerous expectant, shocked, and probing eyes, Lynch nodded calmly, his tone as composed as ever, “Indeed, not long ago, I was lucky to make some breakthrough.”
Though they were psychologically prepared, when this definitive answer came from Lynch’s lips, the Fran Wizards couldn’t help but gasp, their faces showing an incredibly complex expression—a mix of shock, envy, reverence, and a sudden realization. No wonder the Fran’s high officials held such a nuanced and serious attitude towards this expedition!
“It’s… it’s actually true!”
“A newly emerged Rule Wizard… right before our eyes…”
“The Jade Land… no, the entire Supreme Council’s structure may all change because of this…”
Space listened with her mouth agape, then exclaimed exaggeratedly, “Oh my God! Lynch, you’re just unbelievable! Even though you advanced to Domain after me, I am still struggling in the middle phase of the Domain, trying to reach the late stage!
“You… you just directly jumped to the Rule Level! Riding a Transmission Array isn’t even this quick! How did you do it? Teach me some tricks!”
Her words were exaggeratedly complaining and genuinely curious, voicing many people’s inquiries. Such a young Rule Wizard, with a promotion speed that was simply beyond belief.
Lynch, seeing Space’s bright eyes full of curiosity, couldn’t help but smile slightly and shook his head gently, using a one-size-fits-all answer, “The path of cultivation is full of opportunities. I was merely lucky, catching hold of a particular chance.”
Though his words sounded humble, everyone present understood that behind the so-called “luck” and “chance” lay unimaginable difficulties, outstanding talent, and profound accumulation.
While everyone was still immersed in the shock from Lynch’s confirmation of his Rule breakthrough, an elderly yet powerful voice laced with hearty laughter, seemingly transcending endless space, echoed clearly in the land:
“Hahahahaha! It seems our Supreme Council has gained another Rule level! Truly a cause for celebration, truly a fortune for our Wizard World!”
With the appearance of this voice, the space in front of everyone rippled like water, a stable yet deep space crack silently formed. Soon after, an elder walked out from it.
He appeared to be around sixty years old, face gaunt, eyes warm and profound, as if holding infinite wisdom and distant stars.
He was clad in a simple deep blue Star Robe, his hair and beard white, yet he was vigorous, emanating no oppressive aura, rather giving an impression as vast as the universe and as tranquil as the void. Just standing there, he seemed to become the core and coordinate of the space.
It was indeed the Dean of the Starry Sky Magic Academy, and a seasoned Rule Wizard who mastered Space Rules, Dean Abbas!
Behind Dean Abbas, the space crack remained open, and two more figures subsequently emerged.
The one on the left was a middle-aged male wizard, with a rigid and serious face like a carved statue, his eyes sharp like an eagle’s, clad in a heavy gray robe seemingly assembled from countless metallic runes, emitting a faintly heavy and stable rule aura, related to “earth” or “defense.”
On the right was a majestic and graceful female wizard appearing to be in her thirties, dressed in a moon-white gown flowing like clouds, her face beautiful, her lips hinting at a subtle smile. But those deep eyes seemed to reflect the operation track of all things, glowing with the light of wisdom and destiny, making one fear to look directly.
The man and woman who appeared subsequently, although their auras were restrained, able to walk alongside Dean Abbas, also brought an instinctive sense of oppression and insignificance derived from Life Level and soul to all Domain and Mystical Wizards present; their identities were already clear—these were two more Rule Wizards!
The Supreme Council descended with three Rule entities at once!
Dean Abbas smiled and turned aside to introduce Lynch, “Lynch, these two are ’Guardian’ Gordon, and ’Prophet’ Meiweisi.”
Facing Dean Abbas, Lynch revealed a genuinely respectful smile, slightly bowing, “Dean Abbas, it’s been a while, thank you for coming personally.” Then he nodded in greeting to Gordon and Meiweisi, “Thank you, both of you.”
The smile of satisfaction on Abbas’s face slightly contracted, he stepped forward, closer to Lynch, his gaze becoming solemn and profound. “Lynch, at the instruction of Lord Gulwige, I convey his final judgment, derived from deep deductions based on the clues and samples you provided.”
He paused for a moment, seemingly weighing words capable of shaking the entire plane, then, his expression turned serious, and his voice continued low and clear:
“Your judgment is correct. Erodion… that madman, the true purpose of establishing the Freemasonry Church is indeed to attempt, using the souls and Faith of billions of believers under his command as fuel, that defying action—to refine all, and propel his own advancement… towards the Realm of Truth.”
