Chapter 594: Chapter 53: Inheritance and Serenity

Lynch reached out his hand, carefully touching that speck of emerald light.

It merged gently into his palm, as if alive, and a vast yet gentle stream of life rule information rushed into his spiritual core, creating a wondrous resonance with his newborn Decaying Domain and Time Power.

He could clearly perceive that what it contained far exceeded the level of power he currently comprehended—it was a seed of the truth of “Resurrection” from the level of the Fourth-tier Rules, weak as it was, yet it pointed the way.

The rules…

Lynch knew the unremarkable seed before him harbored power far beyond what he could interpret at this stage, fearing that the day he could understand it would require a long time to come.

“Boom!” At this moment, a loud roaring sound erupted.

With the loss of Altonia, the core pillar, the entire space of the Land of Decay began to shake violently! The ground cracked, huge black fissures appeared in the sky, and space fragments fell like peeling wallpaper. Violent spatial turbulence began to wreak havoc.

“The space is going to collapse!” Jeraf looked around in horror at the apocalyptic scene.

Lynch frowned.

He turned his head towards Abbas: “Dean…”

Abbas nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over the space on the brink of collapse: “I used the Rule Power here beyond the time limit. The eyes of the Supreme Council will soon be upon us.” He explained concisely the reason they couldn’t linger.

Reaching the Fourth Tier, one’s every word and action is fundamentally constrained by the rules of the Supreme Council. In principle, each action should be reported to the Supreme Council and their consent obtained beforehand.

However, Abbas appearing silently from his stationed Witch Domain into another and using Rule Power was already a serious violation.

Nonetheless, Abbas still provided Lynch with the current solution to the problem: “This is the Decaying Tower, though its master is gone, the space itself is under the control of the Decaying Domain.”

Lynch paused.

He realized, “Thank you, Dean, I understand.”

The Rotten Wood Elder might be gone, but inheriting the Decaying Domain, he certainly could stabilize this space.

“It’s nothing.”

Abbas shook his head and then told Lynch, “Remember the agreement between us.”

Being able to invite a strong rule-user to intervene couldn’t be solely due to Lynch’s value; in fact, both sides had made a series of compromises and agreements for this action.

Lynch nodded, “Rest assured, Dean, I won’t forget the promise I made!”

Abbas nodded back, then said no more, lightly tapping the void with his wooden staff.

An instant stable spatial channel opened before Lynch, the other end faintly showing the scene outside the Land of Decay. “The channel won’t last long, make it quick.” After speaking, Abbas’s figure disappeared soundlessly like ink dissolving in water, as if he had never been there. Lynch took a deep breath, suppressing his tumultuous thoughts and the thrill from obtaining the “Seed of Resurrection.” He suddenly looked up, the light of silver-gray and deep green intertwining in his gray eyes!

“Decaying Domain, open!”

Buzz——!

The gray-green force field of the domain instantly expanded with Lynch at its center! This time, the domain no longer resisted but attempted to communicate, soothe, and take over the space raging due to the master’s demise. He fully operated the [Grid Circuit], rooting the new domain power deeply into the collapsing remains of the Decaying Tower below!

“In the name of Alan’s Mark, guided by Domain Power! Listen to my command, stabilize!” Lynch’s voice was like a rule decree, resonating on the spiritual level.

A miracle happened! With the infusion of Lynch’s domain power, the violently shaking space seemed to find a new support point.

Though the collapsing trend couldn’t be completely reversed, the chaotic turbulence was forcibly smoothed and guided, the spread of spatial cracks significantly slowed, and the continuously falling space fragments were temporarily bonded by an invisible force. The collapse of the entire space was forcibly paused!

Jeraf, Sophia, and Kalsa, the three Mystical Wizards who narrowly survived, felt the temporary stabilization of the space and the vast domain pressure of Lynch. They looked at Lynch, who hovered in the air, surrounded by the glow of the gray-green domain, stable as a needle in the sea calming the collapsing space, their eyes filled with the relief of survival and… indescribable awe.

The space channel before them glimmered. The few exchanged glances, seeing the same emotion in each other’s eyes. They hesitated no more, swiftly soaring towards the channel entrance.

When everyone safely passed through the channel, appearing on the familiar, decaying-smelling yet relatively stable border wasteland outside the Land of Decay, Lynch also retracted his domain power.

Without his support, the vast space of the Land of Decay behind them collapsed completely in a deafening roar, vanishing like a toppled domino, finally turning into a massive space vortex, spinning as it slowly shrank until it disappeared, leaving only a deep, bottomless pit and chaotic spatial ripples at the original site.

The group stood at the edge of the pit, watching this scene with lingering fear.

Lynch withdrew his force field, landing gently in front of the group. His face was pale, greatly consumed by continuous battles, opening domains, and forcibly stabilizing space. But his posture remained upright, his gray eyes sweeping over the survivors.

Jeraf was the first to react. This once proud pinnacle Mystical Wizard showed a flicker of complexity on his withered face, ultimately turning into utter submission and awe. Without hesitation, he bowed deeply in Lynch’s direction, then knelt on one knee! His head bowed low, his demeanor supremely humble.

“Hail the Lord of Decay!” Jeraf’s voice was hoarse and respectful, filled with heartfelt allegiance. Lynch was not only the one who reached the pinnacle but a genuine Third-tier Domain Wizard, the indisputable new master of the Decay!

Sophia followed suit. She looked at Lynch, free from previous confusion and malice, only left with the fleetingness of survival and awe of absolute power. She, too, knelt slowly, equally humble.

Kalsa looked at Lynch before her, her heart mixed with emotions.

She recalled their first meeting when Lynch came to the Witch Castle to form an alliance, which seemed like just yesterday.

Yet,

Now, the other party was on a completely different level than her, truly…

Her heart filled with sentiment, but reality left her with no time to ponder. Following Jeraf and Sophia’s lead, as if worshiping a monarch, she also knelt on one knee before Lynch, her head bowed low.

“Hail the Lord of Decay!”

The unified, awe-filled voices echoed atop the wasteland. The cold wind swept past, rustling Lynch’s robes and brushing through the hair of the kneeling Mystical Wizards.

Lynch looked at the former “competitors” now kneeling before him, feeling little pride.

What there was,

was only a sense of peace.

A peace after all embellishments had been washed away.
