Chapter 324 - 37: Nothing Is Eternal Except Time
Chapter 324: Chapter 37: Nothing Is Eternal Except Time
The Land of Ancient Ruins, Orelais Mountain, Judgment Square.
Orelais Mountain is situated in the eastern region of the Land of Ancient Ruins, with an altitude of about eight thousand meters, the air is thin and the temperature is extremely low, making it a standard forbidden zone for life.
However, atop the mountain, there oddly stands a circular square with a radius of several thousand meters. The entrance to the summit is guarded by powerful Snow Monsters, and the mountain path is shrouded in fog all day long.
The square is paved with large stone slabs, densely engraved with runes and magic circuits.
This is the Judgment Square.
A place for Wizard Families in the Land of Ancient Ruins to resolve disputes, most events involving significant interests of the collective Wizard Families in the Land of Ancient Ruins are almost always settled here.
At this moment, a considerable number of Transcendents have already gathered on the vast square.
White Wizards, Black Wizards.
The three Golden Wizard Families, eight First-class Wizard Families, and the other Second-class and Third-class Wizard Families, the true rulers of this land, have all dispatched important members to gather here.
The human world’s war has exceeded what the Wizard Families can tolerate, after all, many basic materials of the Wizard World come from the human world, fresh blood, basic ores, basic magic materials, etc., which are related to every aspect of the Wizard World.
The emergence of this widespread human death dramatically impacts the revenues of various Wizard Families.
Therefore,
wizards will discuss a plan here today, how to stop the conflict in the human world and restore the original order of the Wizard World.
“Cease fire, order those foolish humans to cease fire!”
“Send them all back to their respective territories, restore everything to how it was.”
“Why stop? Isn’t the chaos now quite good? Hehehe, the Wizard World doesn’t really need so much order; in my view, this chaos shouldn’t be stopped, instead it should be expanded, ideally spreading into the Wizard World as well.”
“You… you lunatic, the Wizard World will be destroyed by fools like you!”
“What’s wrong with what he said? The world isn’t as fragile as you think, those Muggles have too many numbers, having them come out to consume a batch isn’t bad, some spells in the lab can also be tested just right.”
“Hehehe, just right, I wasn’t fully entertained with the previous Blood-colored Battlefield, too many cowardly guys hid in the safe zone.”
“The bodies can be sent back to nurture Blood Crystals.”
“Don’t even think about it, this is the Order Era, it’s not yet your turn as Black Wizards to make the call!”
On the square, the White Wizards and Black Wizards from various Wizard Families have already been arguing incessantly, the White Wizards demanding the immediate restoration of order, while the Black Wizards delight in the current situation, even hoping it spreads within the Wizard World.
On the other side, in the center of the square, the four strongest Third Tier from the Land of Ancient Ruins have arrived, but only three of them are present.
Margaret lies lazily on a giant toy bear several meters tall, yawning: “What’s Erodion up to? How can he not show up yet at this point? Sure enough, Muggles are just Muggles, even after becoming a Witch Master, still can’t learn a bit of decorum.”
Master of Star Dust Antonio mocks: “Isn’t it all your fault that such a Muggle gets the opportunity to advance to the Third Tier, leading to this situation now.”
Margaret rolls her eyes: “Who could have predicted he’d survive such trials? If anyone had foreseen his advancement, he should’ve been killed off early instead of being allowed to stand equal with us.”
Dawn Wizard Aizer says: “Similar incidents must not happen again, disrupting order will only bring disaster.”
Margaret says: “Speaking of which, not long ago I heard another Muggle Second Tier emerged from Shadow Land, causing quite a nuisance, many purebloods from Wizard Families died, do you know what’s going on?”
Aizer says: “I heard about it too, remember the name was Lynch Valen, Erodion asked me for a signature not long ago to initiate a most wanted notice against him, I heard he’s only got Third-class Talent, no idea how he suddenly advanced to the Second Tier, luckily it was discovered in time.”
“Hmph!”
Margaret sneers: “Where is there such coincidence.”
Antonio squints: “Are you saying Erodion deliberately sheltered that kid? But didn’t Erodion initiate a most wanted notice against him?”
Margaret says: “Maybe it’s a Blinding Technique? How do you know the fugitive isn’t hiding right with Erodion?”
After pausing, she sneers: “Whether he is or not, anyway this matter originated on Erodion’s turf, so he’s implicated, as a Witch Master he has an inescapable responsibility, must explain himself, should any real evidence be discovered…”
Margaret’s lips curl into a slight smile: “Let Order Tower handle this trouble!”
“Ha!”
Just then, a cold laugh echoes.
A flame suddenly ignites from the empty ground in front of them, from it a figure steps out, none other than Wise Erodion.
His gaze falls on Margaret: “Margaret, seems like you haven’t missed a chance to bring me down, tsk tsk.”
“Am I so unwelcome to you as a Muggle?”
Caught red-handed, Margaret doesn’t mind at all, pouting: “Erodion, you’ll never understand bloodline, never grasp nobility, you’re just a thief who stole a status that doesn’t belong to you.”
After pausing, she straightforwardly states: “Since the moment you became a Witch Master, none of us welcomed you, if you want to prove yourself, you should exert all efforts to maintain the interests of various Wizard Families, yet now things have become such a mess under your hand, don’t you think you should bear responsibility?”
Antonio chimes in: “Erodion, you should provide an explanation.”
Aizer doesn’t speak but steps closer to Antonio to show support.
The Judgment meeting meant for discussing human world issues unexpectedly turns personal against Erodion.
Facing the pressure from three strong Third Tier individuals, Erodion shrugs, appearing nonchalant.
He retorts scornfully: “It’s okay, I’ve never thought of mingling into your circle of foolish stagnation, ha, some outdated dinosaurs, apart from hindering civilization’s progress, what else do you have?”
“Just some trash that should’ve been swept into history’s garbage heap long ago.”
The three frown.
Erodion’s comments completely contradict his usual low profile, it’s no longer mere insult, it’s outright challenging them.
Margaret leaps off the toy bear’s belly, while the bear behind her stands up as well.
She sneers: “What? Are you ready to wage war against us?”
“Boom—”
Just then, a loud noise at the entrance of the square is heard.
Soon, the corpses of several guarding Snow Monsters are seen flying from the entrance to the mountain path.
Following that, squads of people rush up from the mountain path.
This is a group composed of Wizards, apprentices, and Knights, their number uncertain, within moments thousands assembled, with more continuously surging in.
They’re dressed uniformly in white, even the Knights’ armor is overlaid with white robes, and they all carry the same cross-shaped emblem on them.
These squads come up and immediately surround the square, expressions cold, murderous intent evident.
“What’s happening?”
“Who are you? What do you intend to do!”
The purebloods gathered on the square are alarmed, hurriedly taking out their witchcrafts for defense.
Aizer frowns, looking at Erodion, realizing Erodion’s attire today differs from usual, matching with these arriving squads.
He questions, “Erodion, what are you up to? Are you truly planning to wage war against us!”
This seems unbelievable; with equal strength, he stands no chance, yet the scene offers no other explanation.
Erodion says calmly: “Besides Time, nothing in this world is eternally constant, you parasites have been leeching on this land for thousands of years, it’s time for some cleaning.”
“Today, I’m going to change the established rules of this land from thousands of years, establish a brand new order here!”
“As for you who impede me…”
Stopping here, his voice turns cold: “Stay here for me!”
