Chapter 57 - 57 Min Yu
57 Min Yu
Luo Ying stiffly put on her clothes. She turned to look at the man and shook her head.
Based on her memory, the original Luo Ying shouldn’t have done it with Lu Zhao before.
“It was supposed to be our first time. It’s supposed to mean something, not some sloppy, drunken mess. Besides, I’ve never done it before. I’m shy, alright?” As Luo Ying spoke, a faint blush appeared on her face.
Lu Zhao was pleased to hear that.
Had this woman been so concerned about their first time?
He could accept such an excuse.
“I can make it up for you next time. Name the location or the position you want. We also run a Hotel and Tourism line of business,” Lu Zhao said. “There are endless hotels and places for you to select.”
Luo Ying’s blush deepened all the more when she heard Lu Zhao earnestly trying to improve their acts of depravity. “Let’s not talk about that anymore. Hurry up and get dressed. Breakfast is downstairs. It’s time for work.”
Before she could finish, she was pulled into Lu Zhao’s arms.
“There’s no hurry. I still have a question for you. Why were you there yesterday?”
“You were there. I made a bet with that Wu guy to save Min Yu.” Luo Ying sounded a little aggrieved. “Min Yu helped me during the livestream. I want to help her too.”
“That’s all?” Lu Zhao asked.
Luo Ying nodded like a chicken pecking at rice. “Of course, I’m not interested in the D’Corporeal group at all.”
Lu Zhao nodded and rested his chin on her shoulder. “Okay, I believe you.”
Luo Ying heaved a long sigh of relief in her heart. Lu Zhao had probably misunderstood her again. Even the guards had thought that she was there for Lin Su.
‘Sigh, darn that Lin Su.’
Lu Zhao hugged her affectionately for a while more before getting up to leave.
The two of them washed up together and had breakfast. Lu Zhao went to work. Luo Ying received a phone call of gratitude from Min Yu.
They were barely acquaintances, so Min Yu was very grateful that Luo Ying had gone this far to help her.
Min Yu did not have a powerful family. She was just an ordinary working class citizen.
However, Min Yu had a talent for composing since she was young. She had dropped out of high school and signed a contract with a small company.
While under the company’s employment, she had written many good songs for a top-class boy band that later hit the charts. It was the breakout point of her career.
Later on, she gained enough fame to open her own studio.
Although she was talented and capable, she often found herself being strong-armed according to the whims of the rich and powerful.
This time, she had refused to write a song for Lin Lu. It had led her to the state where Luo Ying found her.
Lin Lu wasn’t terribly outstanding, and she had relied on underhanded means to get to where she was. Min Yu took pride in her work and wasn’t willing to give her song to such a person.
“I would really like to thank you. If it wasn’t for you, who knows what would have happened to me,” Min Yu said.
“It’s okay. You helped me during my livestream, so I should help you too. Let’s be friends,” Luo Ying said.
“As thanks, I’ll make an album for you in the future. However, I might not be in a good mental state recently, so you’ll have to wait for a while.
“No hurry, no hurry,” Luo Ying said hurriedly.
Min Yu was a top producer in the original novel. She was proficient in writing songs, lyrics, and arrangements. She never sold any failed albums.
With Min Yu’s support, her future career path should be smoothsailing.
The two of them chatted for a while more before Luo Ying hung up.
In the original novel, her brother Luo Feng had been in the casino that day, watching Min Yu go through her torment.
Luo Ying had wanted to find her brother after saving Min Yu. She had not accounted for Lu Zhao’s interference.
She did not know how to find her brother now.
Luo Ying sighed.
Other than Luo Feng, she had other priorities.
She needed to re-plan her upcoming career paths.
After swapping her manager out, she rejected some weak offers from sub-par variety shows and bad films, so the rest of her time was free.
Chi Tong had arranged some of the popular variety and advertising resources for her to choose from.
The most popular variety show recently was the “Idol sports event” that was currently being recorded.
It was a gathering of singers, dancers, and actors who participated in sports competitions, including artistic gymnastics, sports dance, archery, and other events.
The show was already in its second season. In the novel, it was a big hit.
In the novel, Su Ran had performed an amazing dance sequence in the artistic gymnastics competition and won the reputation of being an all-rounded artist.
Luo Ying frowned as she read the notice. She had been practicing dancing for so many years, so it would be easy for her to win this competition.
How could she not seize such a good opportunity?
