Chapter 2197 - 2198: Blossoming Loga

Chapter 2197: Chapter 2198: Blossoming Loga

After listening to Posia’s account, Angel didn’t show any change on the surface, but he felt a slight tinge of regret inwardly.

Posia’s understanding of Feng was even less than Magu’s, and their pieces of information were almost overlapping; he didn’t hear much that was new.

However, it was once again confirmed that Feng spent the longest time with Gentle Wind Uranus, Frost Iser, and Nami Midori. To learn more, he probably could only get information from these three.

In his regret, Angel bid farewell to Posia.

Since the things he needed to do, the information he needed to inquire about, and the dramatized shadow box he had to deliver were all completed methodically, Angel originally planned to leave the Wild Stone Wasteland directly and head to the next destination.

However, Dangross, being an Elemental in its development stage, had been struggling all day and was now extremely tired. Furthermore, with Posia’s persuasion, Angel decided to rest for the night at the Ruby Caves and leave the next day.

A silent night passed.

By the next morning, Dangross had regained his usual energy.

Angel also awoke from his meditation, stretched his stiff limbs, sliced some Magic Marrow Meat, and drank a cup of frozen Dairy Fruit Tree juice before preparing to leave the cave.

As he stepped out of the small stone chamber, the ground under his feet trembled slightly, and an orange stone shot up from beneath, landing steadily in Angel’s palm.

The stone rolled in Angel’s palm, eventually pointing toward the direction of the Stone Temple where Posia was, as if guiding Angel.

Angel hesitated for a moment but still followed the stone’s guidance, heading toward the depths of the cave, to the Stone Temple.

Upon reaching the Stone Temple, Angel saw Posia again.

This time, however, Posia was not alone; beside it stood a small stone figure partly covered with moss.

At first glance, it looked somewhat similar to the Patroller Angel had encountered before, but it was much smaller, only reaching up to Angel’s waist. Additionally, this little stone figure was cracked in several places, with small flowers growing out from the crevices, accompanied by a rich layer of moss, giving it a certain ruinous beauty.

Angel bowed to Posia.

Posia: "Are you planning to leave today?"

Angel responded affirmatively: "Yes, sir, did you call me over for something?"

Posia: "Indeed, there’s something... I heard yesterday that you plan to go to White Cloud Village, so your next target must be the Baya Desert?"

Angel nodded; he planned to pass through the Baya Desert on his way to White Cloud Village.

"Then perhaps you should take Loga with you," Posia pointed at the small stone figure with moss and flowers beside it. "Loga’s enlightenment teacher is me, and he’s also the inheritor nurtured by the Charny of Fallen Soil, as well as a student of the Sage Kolicium in the Baya Desert."

"The personality of Sandstorm Sandstrom is unruly, making it difficult to meet with him. If you want a chance, you can only go through Kolikium. With Loga’s help, things will be easier for you... Plus, Loga also plans to continue his studies with Kolikium."

After Posia finished speaking, it gently patted the little Loga beside it.

Loga, somewhat shyly, said to Angel: "I already heard from His Highness about you yesterday and have been eagerly looking forward to meeting you."

Angel gave a nonchalant smile, although inwardly he was silently critiquing that it was fitting that Loga, nurtured by the Charny of Fallen Soil, also inherited the somewhat arbitrary way of speaking. Fortunately, most of Loga’s expressions were correct, with fewer misused words compared to the Charny of Fallen Soil.

Posia: "What is Mr. Pat’s opinion on this matter?"

Angel thought for barely two seconds before nodding in agreement.

He could tell that Posia’s arrangements were actually more for his own good.

He had already learned some internal information about the Baya Desert from the Wind Sand Brigade, knowing that Sandstorm Sandstrom was difficult to meet, and Aguado also suggested Angel start with the Sage. However, according to Aguado, meeting this Sage wasn’t easy either.

Even though Aguado provided various "strategies" for Kolicium, there were still many variables, and gaining the trust of an outsider was still quite challenging.

Now, with Posia’s arrangement, it saved him a lot of effort.

It’s not just because Loga is a student of Kolicium, but also because the Baya Desert and Wild Stone Wasteland are extremely close allies, even closer than the Region of Fire and Wild Stone Wasteland, both belonging to the same lineage of earth elemental creatures.

Angel had already experienced the power of "diplomatic relations" in the Wild Stone Wasteland, and with Loga serving as a mediator, he expected to experience that alliance again. It was more reliable than going through cumbersome strategies to deal with Kolicium.

Therefore, Angel had no reason to refuse.

After agreeing for Loga to accompany him, Angel inquired to Posia about their feedback on the Shadow Box trilogy.

Posia sighed at this: "The Tides Realm portal is about to open, and humans might swarm in. This is a massive change for the entire elemental creature world. His Highness and I thought about it overnight, and we still don’t know how to respond. We finally decided to contact the Sage Magu in the Region of Fire and see what other Monarchs decide before making our choice."

Angel nodded to show he understood. After all, not all elemental creatures were as decisive as Magu. Moreover, it had only been a night since they got wind of the drastic news; making the best decision wasn’t easy.

Angel didn’t further inquire about the Shadow Box matter but instead chatted with Posia about the situations in the Baya Desert and White Cloud Village.

For now, the situation in the Baya Desert shall go unmentioned; however, the situation in White Cloud Village was indeed as the Wind Sand Brigade described: Gentle Wind Uranus was kind in nature and would not hold back on meetings as long as one approached him with friendliness. The only thing to be wary of is the Wind Babies, or Wind Element Spirits; they have mischievous characters and enjoy pranks, leveraging the advantageous terrain compared to spirits in other regions, making it easier to cause fatalities.

Having had enough discussion with Posia, Angel then proposed his farewell.

Posia didn’t hold him back, wishing Angel a safe journey, and let them leave the cave.

With Loga trailing closely behind, they encountered no hindrance from any earth elemental creatures, and even the antics of earth spirits were absent.

Outside the cave, Angel took out the Gondola and gestured for Loga to board.

The moment Loga stepped onto the flying boat, Angel could notably feel the Gondola sinking slightly, something that had never occurred before. It was apparent that Loga, despite his small stature, weighed significantly more than previous passengers of the Gondola.

Fortunately, when Angel refined the Gondola, he had high demands on its load capacity. Although Loga’s inclusion brought it close to the upper limit of the Gondola’s capacity, it did not exceed it.

It could still fly, only slightly slower than before.

Regarding this situation, Angel didn’t tell Loga, after all, under Jon’s guidance, he knew very well that a girl’s weight is a secret not to be inquired about... Although Angel also knew that Elemental Creatures had no gender distinctions, the moss and little flowers growing on Loga made him assume there was a little princess living inside Loga.

It was probably Loga’s first time traveling in the air, curiously looking around. The gondola, the high altitude, all carried a sense of newness in this first encounter.

However, Loga and Angel were still newly acquainted, so even though it had many questions in its heart, it didn’t openly ask them.

The silent atmosphere persisted for more than half an hour.

Later, after Toby awoke from his slumber, the silence was finally broken.

Dangross was chirping praises, singing all kinds of compliments to Toby. On the other side, after a period of adaptation, Loga also became slightly less tense, leisurely listening to Dangross’s monologue.

After Dangross babbled for over ten minutes, Toby yawned, chirped twice: "Coocoo coo."

Dangross immediately excitedly continued with even more vibrant praises, so much so that Angel felt his ears itch, but Toby accepted it heartily.

However, quickly, Dangross turned from excitement to anxiety and discouragement: "Alas, I can’t understand what Lord Toby is saying... Is it praising me, or does it find me verbose?"

Angel silently stood aside, knowing that if Dangross learned the truth of Toby’s chirps, it would probably be even more disheartened.

"It’s expressing to Mr. Pat, hoping to hear Dangross’s voice again before it sleeps," the long-silent Loga said.

Angel glanced at Loga in surprise. Apart from its misuse of words, its expression of meaning wasn’t wrong at all.

Toby’s previous yawning chirps weren’t responses to Dangross but were telling Angel that Dangross’s voice was so hypnotic that hearing it before going to sleep would be more effective than a lullaby.

Angel had been with Toby for a long time, gradually understanding Toby’s intentions from its nuances and voice frequencies.

Loga was seeing Toby for the first time, and being a stone creature, how could it understand Toby’s language?

Even Toby looked at Loga with an astonished look, as if it had seen a ghost.

Dangross glanced at Angel and then at Toby, then understood in its heart, and Loga’s words were not wrong. Its eyes lit up: "Can you understand what Lord Toby is saying? That’s great! Did it say it wanted to hear my voice before sleeping? Ah, is this a confirmation of me? I’m so thrilled!"

Loga opened its mouth, wanting to explain, but saw Angel sitting behind Dangross gently wave his hand towards it.

The words on Loga’s lips were eventually swallowed back.

Seeing Loga’s courteous demeanor, Angel silently praised inwardly: Aside from occasional word mistakes, it was indeed much more humane than The Charny of Fallen Soil.

"If you don’t mind, can you tell me how you understood Toby’s meaning?" Angel curiously asked.

Loga hesitated for a moment, pointing to the two small pink flowers growing next to its ears: "They told me."

"Oh?"

Through Loga’s explanation, Angel realized that Loga was not purely an earth-type creature; it also had a part of wood attributes, which explained the flowers blooming on it.

Pure stone beings certainly couldn’t awaken abilities similar to "Animal Language".

But the wood element in Loga fused with nature.

And among Nature Witches, there is a spell technique called "Voice of All Things," which can listen to the voices of nature, including the chirps of birds and insects.

The natural power within Loga might have awakened a similar "Voice of All Things" ability, allowing it to easily understand Toby’s sounds. However, compared to the authentic "Voice of All Things," which could hear heart sounds, Loga’s power was evidently weaker, but this might just be because Loga wasn’t completely mature yet.

Once it passed the sprite phase, perhaps Loga could gain the true Voice of All Things, capable of hearing nature’s echoes and even capturing heart sounds.

If this speculation is true, Loga’s future looks promising.

Additionally, given Loga’s primary attribute is earth, its earth abilities must naturally excel.

Thinking in this way, Loga is quite a good target for persuasion. Even if Angel doesn’t have much need for earth creatures, at this moment, he grew a slight desire for Loga.

However, this desire soon dissipated, as Loga’s identity destined it to be difficult to persuade.

Moreover, Angel had much less demand for earth creatures compared to fire ones. It’s better to wait for the current task to end, then return to the Region of Fire to persuade Kelonkcro.

Suppressing his thoughts, Angel affirmed Loga’s abilities. Dangross was even more enthusiastic, dividing some of its energy to focus on Loga, hoping it would help interpret Toby’s intentions, allowing its flattery to more accurately hit Toby’s heart.

Because of this small incident, Loga’s tension gradually faded under Dangross’s fervent onslaught.

In the journey that followed, Loga began to talk more, and its stiff face showed a little more smile.

Time slipped away amidst carefree laughter, and four hours later, the gondola was about to fly out of the central district of the Wild Rock Wilderness.

At that moment, Angel felt deep within his Mind Space, the Ability Tree standing in the darkness of the consciousness void, waving a branch, sending a message to him.

As soon as he received the message, Angel paused for a moment.

He immediately slowed the gondola’s flying speed. Dangross and Loga didn’t notice anything unusual, but Toby immediately sensed it, and with a curious look in its eyes, Angel whispered to it: "I’m going to rest for a while. If anything happens outside, remember to wake me up."

This sentence might sound without error at first, but only Toby understood that what Angel called resting for a while was not actual rest, but preparing to use the Dream Entering Technique, to enter into the Wilderness of Dreams.

Toby nodded: "Coocoo." Alright.

Angel affectionately patted the soft feathers on Toby’s head, then turned to look at Dangross and Loga opposite him: "I was meditating all last night and didn’t sleep well, so now I’m a bit sleepy. I’ll rest for a little."

Dangross and Loga were both in the sprite phase and understood what fatigue was like, so they didn’t think too much about it, nodding and even lowering their voices.

Angel again secretly instructed Earl Mi to stay vigilant, and then he closed his eyes, entering the Bridge of Dreams.
