Chapter 1569

Chapter 1569: Section 1570 New Authority Chapter 1569: Section 1570 New Authority Angel recounted his experience in the black mist, in detail.

The process was actually no different from the two people in the control group, however, the process itself is not important, the true significance lies in the personal realization.

“The creatures born within the black mist, I can't be sure what they are, but I personally witnessed their birth process, and I felt a familiar fluctuation. That fluctuation is…”

Angel paused briefly, under the gaze of the two, he slowly said: “Authority.”

Initially, Angel was not sure whether the black mist had anything to do with authority, not until he focused on the creatures' shaping process. Angel was surprised to find that at the moment the creatures took shape, he captured a familiar fluctuation.

It was indeed Authority! To say it's the fluctuation of authority, is actually just to make it easy to explain. Angel didn't really feel a “fluctuation”; what he felt was a resonance of authority. There existed rules within the black mist that corresponded and resonated with the authority he originally possessed, the “Gatekeeper” and “Gate of Dreams”.

“The authorities are all constrained within the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain, it's not possible they would just pop out casually. So now, it is basically confirmed that the black mist area is definitely related to the authority I accidentally diffused earlier.”

Upon hearing this, Frode muttered: “Having confirmed this point, it also proves that the experiment with the Scroll of Fortune was successful.”

Angel nodded, “Exactly. The region of black mist is indeed something we need to take seriously in the future, but today's main purpose is to test the effect of the Scroll of Fortune, as well as to fuse new authorities.”

“Since the Scroll of Fortune was successful, perhaps it will be possible to achieve energy control in the Wilderness of Dreams through fusion with the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain.”

Angel went around in numerous circles but finally addressed Sanders's confusion.

Sanders raised his eyebrows: “That being said, we may not necessarily obtain the related authority.”

Angel spread his hands: “With the push of the Scroll of Fortune, trying it out might make it possible.”

The black mist was a pressing matter, after all, it was relatively close to Originheart City, and if the black mist continued to spread, it might possibly affect Originheart City in the future. Additionally, no one could be sure whether the strange creatures in the black mist might come out. Should they actually emerge, it would be a catastrophic disaster for Originheart City.

Thus, the matter of the black mist could not be understated. However, to tackle the creatures in the mist was not something they, who were currently without substantial power, could handle.

It would be possible to address this problem of the black mist only if they could gain the authority to control energy or bring personal strength from reality into the dream.

Therefore, fusing new authorities was imperative.

Since the effectiveness of the Scroll of Fortune had already been confirmed, it was time to attend to serious matters.

Angel let Frode stay in Originheart City to continue to guard Shalu, and to observe and record the situation of the control group. He and Sanders then left the Wilderness of Dreams.

When Angel and Sanders logged into the Wilderness of Dreams again, they were no longer in Originheart City, but had arrived in a vast barren wilderness.

Here, the expanse was boundless, with nothing in sight. However, when Angel lightly tapped the void, a mysterious fluctuation began to diffuse outward.

Soon, a light orb bound by green patterns, slowly emerged from its concealed state and hovered before Angel and Sanders.

This orb, emitting a faint glow, was the true core of the Wilderness of Dreams — the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain!

It was also the collective hub of all the authorities of the Wilderness of Dreams!

It was Sanders's second time seeing the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain, but the awe in his eyes was no less diminished.

Sanders was the pioneer in opening the Nightmare Realm, and the initiator of integrating the Nightmare Realm into the Wizard System. Therefore, he knew the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain very well. Most of the Principal Bodies of the Nightmare Domain are even smaller than dust, so small that one cannot see their entities, but the orb in front of him was as big as an adult's head, showing a clear difference!

The Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain actually represents the control over the Nightmare Realm. Just like Sanders's Black Tower Nightmare Realm, when he took on the Principal Body of the Black Tower Nightmare Realm, he had complete control over it, making it function like a sort of “pseudo” Law Domain.

However, this kind of Nightmare Realm does not have what one would call “Authority”; it's more like a private Domain.

But the Wilderness of Dreams is different. Its expanse could truly be considered its own world; therefore, its Principal Body is immensely large, containing all the rules of the Wilderness of Dreams realm, otherwise known as an assembly of Authorities.

To integrate with the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain is tantamount to instantaneously taking control over all the rights of a realm.

Not to mention an Official Wizard, even a Legendary Wizard, or even a wizard with a title above 'Legendary', known as 'Miracle', would find it incredibly difficult to achieve.

If it were Sanders who encountered this kind of Nightmare Realm back then, he would never have thought to integrate and take on the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain, as he saw it as an impossibility.

But Angel at that time was like a newborn calf that is not afraid of tigers, completely unaware of the complexities involved, and without hesitation, he went to integrate with the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain. Discovering that he couldn't integrate all at once, Angel then started racking his brains about how he could incrementally assimilate the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain.

In the end, he really succeeded.

Through the green Pattern on his right hand, he bound the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain, then figured out how to dissolve it, and finally integrated with it. Little by little, he dissolved the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain with the ultimate goal being to completely assimilate it as his own.

Inside, Sanders actually felt some envy, but the green Pattern was a unique ability of Angel's, which no one else could learn.

Now, they need Angel to use this ability to undermine from within the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain.

Angel was also quietly observing the orb; he had already integrated two types of Authority, in addition to the dispersing Authority related to the black mist, resulting in three kinds of Authorities being scraped from inside the orb. Yet, the size of the orb remained the same as when he first saw it, without the slightest change.

This also shows that the orb contains a considerable amount of Authority.

Amongst such numerous Authorities, could he obtain the Core Authority? Even with the aid of the Scroll of Fortune, Angel still felt somewhat apprehensive in his heart.

“Are you ready?” Sanders looked towards Angel.

Angel pondered for a moment, then nodded firmly: “I've begun.”

As his words fell, Angel extended his right hand, slowly approaching the orb.

The moment his fingertips touched the orb, the green Pattern already bound around the orb instantly emitted a faint green light and began to rotate along the orb.

At the same time, the green Pattern floating above Angel's right hand also suddenly came to life, like sprouts breaking through the soil, spreading their tender green branches and leaves; and like lively musical notes, composing a beautiful melody under a cheerful frequency.

The green Pattern on his right hand and the one binding the orb were enhancing each other's brilliance at this moment.

When their frequencies synchronized, Angel began to manipulate the green Pattern that bound the orb.

This green Pattern, which Angel had analyzed many times over, was very familiar to him. It represented a series of data: Binding, Dissolution, Fusion, Passageway, and Door.

What Angel needed to do now was to dissolve the orb through this green Pattern, stripping it of its Authority, and then integrate it.

However, before the dissolution, Angel still needed to do one more thing.

Activate the Scroll of Fortune!
