Chapter 1510
Chapter 1510: Section 1511 Water Pattern Witch Chapter 1510: Section 1511 Water Pattern Witch Pushing the crimson curtains aside, Angel and Nail Granny stepped into the hall.
As Fuyi entered, he immediately heard the bubbling sound of boiling water by his ear.
Following the sound, he saw a blonde woman sitting in front of a long table, holding an elegant teapot and pouring water into a cup. Streams of white vapor and the rich aroma of tea filled the entire hall.
The sound of boiling water was coming from the teapot.
Hearing the footsteps behind her, the blonde woman stood up and turned around.
She was a very young-looking witch, with hair as golden and dazzling as the midsummer afternoon sunshine, bright but not blinding. Her face was veiled with a thin, water-colored fabric, but her charming features could still be faintly discerned, light blue crystal earrings dangling from her earlobes. She wore a blue long dress with a fish scale pattern. Under the light of the glowing stone above, it stirred into the ripple pattern of the ocean.
“Please have a seat, Wizard Pat,” she said with a voice as gentle and soothing as a soft wave, making one unconsciously let down their guard.
After Angel and Nail Granny were seated, she placed the previously poured tea in front of them.
“This is a Red Goat-Sculpture tea brewed with still water,” she simply introduced, then her gaze turned to Angel, “Wizard Pat, this is our first formal meeting. Forgive my audacity, but I've invited you here under Granny's name.”
“No worries, I was actually planning to formally visit the Water Pattern Witch,” Angel softly called out her title.
The Water Pattern Witch smiled slightly, “It's just us here, no need for formalities. You can call me Farlina.”
After a brief exchange, Farlina brought up the main topic, “I assume, Wizard Pat, you already know why I invited you here?”
“The Ocean's Rhythm?” Angel whispered.
Angel and Farlina had met before at a witnessing ceremony, where Farlina had expressed her curiosity about the Ocean's Rhythm. She had frankly mentioned that if there was a chance, she would like to truly experience it.
Thus, when Angel learned that the Water Pattern Witch was the one who invited him, he recalled the conversation from the ceremony. Additionally, Nail Granny had hinted that Farlina's return to the Sky Mechanical City was somehow related to him.
Naturally, his thoughts first went to the Ocean's Rhythm.
“Yes,” Farlina did not deny but nodded, “Actually, I've known about the Ocean's Rhythm for quite some time. Although I'm not from the Song of the Deep Sea, as an Ocean Mage, I do have some connections with them. Therefore, I know that the Sea God has been unable to forget about the Ocean's Rhythm you refined.”
“I heard that because of some spatial fusion matter, the Sea God also went to the Pamiji Plateau. He even sought out Lord Rhein to discuss the Ocean's Rhythm, hoping to purchase it through Lord Rhein, but he was eventually turned away.”
“After hearing this, I got curious. For the Ocean's Rhythm to remain in the thoughts of the Sea God, it must contain some mysteries.”
“Is it possible for me to experience it firsthand?”
Since this matter was already mentioned in the witnessing ceremony, Angel didn't find it abrupt when she directly made this request. However, Farlina must have felt a bit embarrassed, as she added, “Of course, I'll offer a fair exchange…”
Before she could finish her sentence, the teapot on the table suddenly emitted a “gurgling” sound of boiling water.
Farlina frowned and glanced at the teapot.
Angel also looked over; he hadn't noticed earlier, but now, upon careful observation, he realized that this teapot looked somewhat familiar.
It seemed identical in shape to the Magician's rose-patterned teapot from before, the only difference being that this one bore a thorn pattern.
As Angel pondered this, the teapot's spout emitted a large puff of vapor.
The lid also began to shake slightly, making a clinking sound.
With the shaking, through the small gaps the lid created, Angel vaguely saw what seemed like a pair of small eyes inside.
Seeing this, his expression turned even more bizarre.
Leaving aside whether this teapot had anything to do with the Magician's teapot, the fact that there was some creature inside the teapot meant that the tea they were drinking was its bathwater?
While Angel was still pondering the issue of bathwater, the lid was suddenly blasted into the air by a gust of air, and at the same time, a small otter jumped out from the teapot, floating in mid-air, loudly shouting, “Gurgle gurgle!”
This small otter, almost identical to the one from the Magician's teapot, except the Magician's otter wore a pearl necklace, while this little otter held a bright red flower, unmistakably a Goat-Sculpture flower.
“I apologize, there might have been some unexpected circumstances,” Farlina showed an apologetic look.
As soon as her words fell, the small otter shouted again, “Gurgle gurgle!”
As it shouted, a bubble suddenly came out of its mouth; initially, the bubble was quite small, but as it met the outside air, it quickly grew larger and larger, eventually becoming as big as a person.
Inside the bubble, at first, there was nothing but a blurry fog, appearing unremarkable.
However, Angel felt an extremely strange spatial energy within the water bubble.
When the water bubble reached the size of a person, the concentration of spatial energy was at its highest, and simultaneously, a vague shadow appeared through the misty fog.
With a “bang”,
the water bubble burst, scattering water splashes in the hall. A figure then staggeringly landed on the table.
“Aiya, that was close. Good thing Gulu didn't abandon Gudu, or else I would have been in big trouble today,” a familiar yet frivolous female voice reached Angel's ears.
As the mist created by the water slowly dispersed, one could see a girl wearing a black and white striped magic hat, sitting cross-legged on the table, taking deep breaths.
“It must be that detestable creature from beneath the water causing trouble; otherwise, how could I suddenly become confused and get caught red-handed? If I see him next time, I'll definitely do him in…” Her mouth was continuously cursing.
After a good while, she finally caught her breath and had cursed enough, only then did she start noticing her surroundings.
“Eh, this decor, doesn't seem like the Wizard's Tower.”
While she muttered, the Water Pattern Witch sitting across the table and directly in front of her had veins popping on her forehead: “Sharley, do you know what you're doing? Get off there immediately!”
Accompanied by a strong and powerful surge, Sharley only felt a blurring before her eyes and was abruptly thrown off the table, eventually hitting the cool floor face down.
Hiss–Sharley gasped in pain; just moments before, she had been fiercely struck in the chest by Kavoline, and now falling to the ground, the pain distorted her facial expression.
However, no matter how much pain Sharley showed, Farlina showed no sign of concern, her expression utterly cold.
Only a rosette-patterned teapot floating beside her, drifted up to Sharley's face, a small otter poked its head out of the spout, rubbed her cheek, but sensing the tense atmosphere, it quickly retreated back into the pot.
Sharley barely recovered, slowly standing up, muttering: “I just borrowed Gulu's route to escape from the clutches of evil people, I didn't do anything else…”
Just as she finished speaking, Sharley saw a silver-haired old lady sitting across Farlina, her expression changed instantly: “Nail… Granny?!”
Sharley also noticed that there seemed to be another person sitting next to Nail Granny, but due to the angle, Farlina blocked her view, and she couldn't see who it was, just a glimpse of black clothing.
However, she couldn't care about that now; seeing Nail Granny here, it must be a time similar to a Tea Party. She not only crashed into this halfway but also sat on the table, no wonder her always indulgent and doting mentor Farlina was visibly upset.
This wasn't just a matter of being rude, but also likely offending Nail Granny.
Thinking this, Sharley, originally feeling aggrieved, suddenly changed her expression, like the best actor, showing a sincere yet guilty look, along with a bit of fear, timidity, and shame, mastering an expression that was not off-putting yet inviting people to listen to her fabricated excuses.
However, the well-controlled expression on Sharley's face and the apology she was drafting in her mind collapsed the moment she approached the table.
Because, as she got closer, she finally saw who was sitting next to Nail Granny.
Dressed in traditional nobility attire, from the elegant tie to the sharp edges of the collar and belt, down to the emblem-embossed buttons, every detail was meticulous and solid.
But this attire, and those patterns on the buttons, were so vivid in her memory!
It was the strange person she met under the water!
Sharley stiffly looked up at his face, blonde hair, blue eyes, handsome and elegantly charming.
She recognized who he was.
It was Angel, the person recently under the media spotlight.
At that moment, the corner of Angel's mouth slightly curved, seeming both mocking and unintentional.
As Sharley looked his way, vaguely perceiving, Angel's visage dissolved into nothingness, the surroundings turned dark, as if she was back under the water…
Sharley awkwardly supported her forehead, lowering her head, with only one thought left in her heart–
It's over.
Sharley still remembered that Mentor Farlina once told her, she had three purposes for returning to Sky Mechanical City: one was for Sharley to participate in the New Star Competition; the second was for Farlina to shut herself away to refine a special item; the third was to meet Angel.
Now, with Farlina, Angel, and Nail Granny gathering again, it clearly was the meeting Farlina had been looking forward to.
As a result, she not only disrespectfully sat on the table.
But had also recently thought of stealing something from Angel… Sharley's mood was incredibly confused now, with only the thought “it's over” left.
