Chapter 408 – Thirteenth Livestream Ends (1)
The Liquid Council inhabiting the Regulus system was an experienced and extremely cautious interstellar civilization. Hence, the moment Chen Yu’s Type-R Spacecraft arrived in the system, the Liquid Council had already begun monitoring the spacecraft.
The discovery that the Type-R Spacecraft was capable of traveling at 5,000 times the speed of light had instantly shocked the entire Liquid Council.
Although their civilization had been established for more than 30,000 years already, the top speed they managed to achieve thus far was only at 65% light speed.
As for surpassing the speed of light?
That was still only a theory for the Liquid Council.
Hence, one could only imagine how much of a mental blow Chen Yu’s appearance had given to these aliens.
Boom!
Taking out the Oscillating Planet Smasher and placing it before the camera, Chen Yu said, “One of our civilizations must die today, so make your choice.”
The alien leader widened its four pairs of visual organs at Chen Yu’s words. “W-We don’t seem to understand what you mean…”
“What’s so hard to understand about this?” Raising his tone, Chen Yu said, “We Earthlings are tired of living, so please send troops to destroy us!”
“…”
“Say something.”
“W-We…” Trembling slightly, the alien leader said, “We have never heard of such a request before…”
“That’s because you’ve never met humans before.” Patting the Oscillating Planet Smasher, Chen Yu said, “Time is of the essence. Let’s not dawdle around with words. Prepare your weapons and come annihilate us.”
“…” The alien leader began shuddering with even greater intensity.
“Can you hurry up? Do you think it was easy for me to travel across 70 light-years?”
“…Powerful envoy, the Liquid Council knows the difference in technological levels and respects the laws of the universe. However, our self-esteem does not allow us to be insulted. If you want to go to war, we are not afraid of death.”
“Who wants to go to war with you?” Putting his hand over his heart, Chen Yu said sincerely, “We’re just asking you to destroy Earth. Is it that difficult?”
“…”
“When a person wishes to commit suicide but can’t do it with their own hand, shouldn’t you lend them a hand and stab a knife into their heart?”
“…”
“Forget it. Tell me where you live. I’ll go find you.”
“C-Can you let us discuss this?” the alien leader said in a panic when it heard Chen Yu was going to visit it.
“How long do you need?”
“We should be able to give you a satisfying answer in three years…”
“Scram! I might as well annihilate you and find a third civilization!” Waving his hand in annoyance, Chen Yu mentally commanded the Type-R Spacecraft to fly toward the dark-green planet. “I’m coming down to kidnap you.”
“P-Powerful envoy! If possible, please don’t come down! I-I’ll get on a spacecraft now and visit you in person!”
“You’ll come in person?” Chen Yu asked with an eyebrow raised.
“Yes. I can negotiate with you on behalf of the Liquid Council and meet your requirements to the best of my abilities.”
“OK, fine.” Nodding, Chen Yu reached out to disconnect the quantum communication channel.
Taking a seat, Chen Yu stretched his back and sighed, “It seems our problem is solved. The livestream this time has dragged on for far too long. But don’t worry. In just three more days, I’ll be back to wipe out everyone.”
[Just listen to these words.]
[Why, thank you soooo much!]
With a “Sword of Damocles” hanging over their heads, the Liquid Council acted swiftly. After only twenty minutes since Chen Yu disconnected the call, a cylindrical spaceship could be seen approaching the Type-R Spacecraft at a seemingly slow yet galloping speed. The cylindrical spaceship then docked on the left side of the Type-R Spacecraft.
“It seems this alien civilization isn’t much stronger than the Core of Consciousness Empire. They are still relying on centrifugal force to create artificial gravity.”
While scrutinizing the alien spacecraft, Chen Yu opened a small opening in the hull. While dressed in a protective suit similar to liquid metal, the alien leader then walked out of the cylindrical spaceship and entered the Type-R Spacecraft under the protection of four guards.
Beep!
An alarm sounded inside the Type-R Spacecraft, and several blue lights instantly appeared and restrained the five aliens.
“CT/FKP/…” The aliens couldn’t help but be at a loss in this situation.
“You have dangerous objects with you.” Wrapping his arms around his chest, Chen Yu said condescendingly, “Throw them away.”
In response, the alien leader shook his squirming whiskers and touched the surrounding guards for a while. The guards then began tossing a bunch of stuff out into space.
“OK, you can come in now.” After carefully confirming the spacecraft’s scan results, Chen Yu relaxed and invited the five “people” into the cabin. He then began observing the aliens in detail.
This was the first time he had seen a group of aliens up close.
Meanwhile, only three thoughts came to his mind when he looked at these aliens.
Ugly, alive, whiskers should be delicious…
Originally, he thought that seeing aliens with his own eyes would give him a mental shock. However, upon actually meeting with real-life aliens, he only felt a sense of numbness.
There was nothing great about meeting aliens…
He was simply meeting with another intelligent animal…
After verifying the existence of aliens, their existence would no longer be unimaginable. Humans would also immediately start taking the existence of aliens for granted.
This was also the case for war, politics, and epidemics…
“Greetings.” After snapping out of his daze, Chen Yu stretched out his hand to the alien leader. “It’s nice to meet you. I’m a human. Oh, right, I forgot you have no hands.”
“Greetings, human.”
The spacecraft quickly translated the alien leader’s words and relayed them into Chen Yu’s ears. “Do you have only one vocal organ?”
“Yes. What’s wrong?” Chen Yu asked.
“Our auditory system is different from yours. Can you adjust your three-dimensional sound field to increase the audio frequency?”
Hearing this, Chen Yu tried turning the audio of the spacecraft’s translation. “How about now?”
“It’s much clearer now. Thank you.”
“You are quite brave for a leader of a civilization,” Chen Yu said. Waving his right hand, he called up a two-dimensional projection of the solar system. “Let’s dispense with the nonsense. This is the solar system, the hometown of humanity. See that blue, solid planet?”
“I see it. It’s a beautiful planet.”
“It’s called Earth. There are about seven billion humans like myself living on it. Your mission is to eliminate all seven billion of these people, including myself.”
The alien leader: “…”
“Can you do it? It doesn’t matter even if you can’t. I have a lot of weapons here. You can choose whatever you want.”
“We cannot understand. Why are you doing this?”
“For the hoard.”
“??”
“You won’t understand even if I tell you.” Picking up the Oscillating Planet Smasher and placing it in front of the alien leader, Chen Yu said, “Come and take a look at this.”
“What is this…”
“It’s called the Oscillating Planet Smasher. As the name suggests, it’s a weapon capable of turning a planet into rubble.”
Hearing this, the alien leader shuddered involuntarily.
“In a moment, you’ll use this thing and smash Earth to smithereens!” Chen Yu said with the corners of his lips raised.
“…”
“What’s in your mind?”
“Y-You Earthlings are too ruthless…”
“Not really. We’re just moderately ruthless.”
“…”
“Come. I’ll teach you how to use it. Its operating principle is simple. It uses anti-gravity particles to inhibit a planet’s universal gravitation, thereby causing the planet to disintegrate under its centrifugal force. Once the effect of the anti-gravity particles run out, the universal gravitation will push the separated matter back to the planet’s core and cause a devastating collapse.”
The alien leader stretched out its whiskers curiously and touched the surface of the product. It then observed the text on the console.
“What do you think? Does it look fun?”
“Mhm.”
“Want to try it out?”
“Mhm!”
“You’ve never played with such a thing, right?”
“Mhm!”
“Let’s go, then.” After saying so, Chen Yu turned the Type-R Spacecraft around and had it fly straight back to the solar system. “Friends in the livestream rooms, it’s been a long and arduous journey. The livestream will come to a stop for now.
“We’ll meet again in three days and perish together. Be there, or be square…”
