Chapter 566 - Get Rid of Yan Han First
Chapter 566: Get Rid of Yan Han First
The difference was truly hardly worth mentioning. The difference was truly hardly worth mentioning.
“I never expected someone half a step into Divine Transformation Realm to reach such a level of power. There had never been such beings in the past known to be capable of such feats. That was just harrowing.”
Many were utterly shocked and unnerved. Nobody dared to imagine how Lu Xuan managed to get where he was.
They deemed that he had a massive secret about him, that he might have acquired some extremely ancient lineage. That would’ve explained why he was capable of such extraordinary feats.
Lu Xuan’s eyes remained focused as his hair billowed. His white-clad silhouette remained hovering midair, making him look like a living god.
It was only then that everyone truly believed what he just said; he was truly there to kill those from the Taichu Path, especially Yan Han.
That was no bluff; that was the truth.
Lu Xuan looked at those from the Taichu Path before moving his gaze far into the sky. A clear winner was about to emerge among the two who were fighting in the distance.
The Heretic was caught in a disadvantaged and increasingly cornered.
It could’ve been said that the Heretic’s mastery of the sword brought out the very best of swordsman cultivators.
He was no doubt extremely powerful among all who were half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm.
What a shame that Yan Han proved to be even more terrifying.
Yan Han was clad in dazzling golden light all over him as he held onto his spear, looking like the sun hanging high in the sky.
Every attack with his spear was capable of shaking the heavens.
Many people were currently focused on the battle in the sky. They were all stunned by Yan Han’s state and performance.
Nobody had ever seen Yan Han in such a state before.
“What kind of methods did he train in to be able to do so? Are there some methods like that in the Taichu Path?”
“The Taichu Path probably doesn’t have something like that in their library. It might be something he acquired elsewhere.”
“Just what the hell is that?”
Other than Yan Han himself, Lu Xuan was probably the only one who knew that the former’s current state was not a product of some method. It was a result of Yan Han’s own special constitution.
That constitution was known as the Holy Body of the Sun.
The Holy Body of the Sun was among the most powerful known among the constitutions of mankind. There had been many mighty people who possessed such a body.
Otherwise, Lu Xuan would not have had such a hard time fighting him back in his past life. The two fought all the way into the cosmos. It took him a very long time to completely surpass Yan Han.
At the moment, Yan Han was only at the beginning of discovering certain strengths to his own Holy Body of the Sun. He was already capable of completely overwhelming the Heretic.
The Heretic was just as talented as Yan Han. His comprehension of martial and arcane arts rivaled that of Yan Han. The Heretic was indeed among the best among his peers.
However, the terrifying thing about Yan Han was more than him being extremely talented and possessing an unrivaled understanding of both the martial and arcane arts. More importantly, he was more than capable of overwhelming his peers due to the inherent strengths of his Holy Body of the Sun alone.
The Heretic was struggling as he was currently being cornered by a being who possessed a Holy Body of the Sun.
With each attack, Yan Han was able to bring about a burst of golden light that contained glittering flames. This was primarily thanks solely to the powers of such a body.
That ability was none other than the sacred fires of the sun, which were nurtured inside a Holy Body of the Sun.
That was a result of Yan Han having discovered bits of his special constitution. This was far weaker than when he was able to bring about a glorious skyful of sacred fires with just a wave of his hand, as witnessed by Lu Xuan in his past life.
Lu Xuan locked his will onto Yan Han, causing the latter to be immediately alerted while he was busy overwhelming the Heretic. That caused him to almost instinctively stop attacking, feeling as if he instantly caught the attention of some terrifying monster from the abyss.
That feeling almost caused Yan Han’s skin to crawl. It was something that he had never experienced before.
He had always been the one to make others feel as if they were being frozen solid with just a single look. There had never been anyone who could cause him to tense up with such an instinctive, intense gut feeling.
That man… Yan Han felt the other man was increasingly familiar. It was as if he had seen that man somewhere else before.
However, he did not have the time to dwell on it. The Heretic backed away to a safe distance after gaining a breather.
The Heretic performed a seal that caused his boundless Spiritual Aether to boil, which was then conjured into a wall of sword aura that blasted right away in Yan Han’s direction.
Yan Han was unable to shift his focus away. The golden light about his body became more intense as he held his spear tight, thrusting it in the Heretic’s direction.
Just then, the cry of a terrifying bird could have been somewhat heard, immediately shaking the heavens as it sounded.
Lu Xuan’s expression remained cold, seeing all others from the Taichu Path to be beneath him. He thought to himself, ‘I’ll have to get rid of Yan Han first.’
He believed that those people were already dead, but they just did not know it yet. Their days were numbered. Even that grand ancestor of the Taichu Path, who was currently in charge of the sect, was nothing to Lu Xuan.
While Lu Xuan was currently far from being able to fight that grand ancestor, his unnerving rate of growth meant that his future was limitless, which was a complete antithesis to the other party, who was already at his peak and had little future to speak of.
Yan Han was the only exception. Due to having a Holy Body of the Sun consisting of the highest grade of inherent talents, Yan Han had been a mortal enemy of Lu Xuan back in the latter’s past life. If Lu Xuan were to let Yan Han grow any further, the former would still have absolute confidence in killing the latter.
However, doing so would have probably caused them some serious trouble.
One elder of the Taichu Path shouted, “Stop him. We can’t afford to let him get near the sacred son!”
His shout snapped all from the Taichu Path back to their senses immediately.
While Yan Han did gain the upper hand in the fight against the Heretic, he had yet to secure victory.
Doing so would’ve taken time. Right now, it was just the two of them fighting. They could not afford to let a terrifying monster who had conjured something so terrifying to get near Yan Han.
If they did so, they were unable to help but think that Yan Han would probably lose, regardless of how confident they were in him.
The consequences of such a thing happening would have been dire.
If Yan Han were to lose and even be killed by Lu Xuan, it would have been an absolute disaster to the Taichu Path’s future. The Taichu Path had been waiting for ages for someone like Yan Han to emerge among their ranks, who was fully capable of bringing a glorious future to their sect.
At that moment, many fighters from the Taichu Path pounced on Lu Xuan.
An elder shouted, “Stall him and wait for the grand ancestor to get here!”
“Stall me? You people think you could do that?” Lu Xuan eyed the elders of the sect that were almost right in front of him.
They were all fighters at the pinnacle of the ninth tier of Divine Treasure Realm, yet they all ground to a halt when they got in front of Lu Xuan as if they were frozen in place.
To put it precisely, they truly were frozen in place.
A terrifying aura washed all over the place. That alone was more than enough to suspend all of them midair.
Deep down, one elder asked himself, “Just what kind of a monster is he?!”
