This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome

Chapter 198 - The Top Three Fighters in the World

Chapter 198: The Top Three Fighters in the World

“Who are you?” the remaining Vietnamese fighter of medium build asked in Chinese without a foreign accent.

“That’s none of your concern. What I wanna know is, where are those Huaxians? Where did you chase them off to?” Lu Xuan continued plainly.

“You’ve injured my partner, and now you wanna force intel out of me? You really are reckless, Huaxian!”

That Vietnamese fighter of medium build glared at Lu Xuan, eyes gleaming with hostility.

A beam of terrifying sword aura shot from behind that Vietnamese fighter at that moment.

Shoop!

The terrifying flash of the sword was the brightest thing there was within their vicinity at that moment. That very blinding light went straight towards Lu Xuan in an instant.

Boom!

The flash of the sword was blocked off before it managed to pierce him, and he reacted immediately by lifting his arm, grabbing hold of that beam with his bare hand.

The beam, which resulted from a sword being propelled into the air, was then torn apart bit by bit.

The attack was shredded by Lu Xuan, and it was utterly unable to graze his hand while he was at it.

“How can this be possible?”

That Vietnamese fighter found what was happening before him to be unbelievable. That beam was not a regular beam of the sword, but something conjured from a power item.

That fighter had been reigning supreme almost throughout the entire nation of Vietnam ever since coming into possession of that item.

Even Invincible Vajras would not have been able to take such an attack easily.

It was at that moment that he saw that Vietnamese fighter carrying a sword box behind their back, and that beam was unleashed from that box.

That Vietnamese fighter shouted and activated Spiritual Qi throughout their entire being. The box behind them rattled, and three more beams shot out right away.

The beams shot through the air, coming right before Lu Xuan almost in the blink of an eye.

Lu Xuan leapt and summoned Bloodthirst, sweeping it about and cutting down all three beams in an instant.

That Vietnamese fighter backed away continuously without pausing for breath. Yet, for some reason, Lu Xuan still managed to arrive before that fighter before long.

Shoop!

He brought his sword down in a chopping motion, cleaving that Vietnamese fighter into two.

That Vietnamese fighter was unable to even react before their Shield of Vigor was cut in half. It was as if it was some useless thing made of cardboard.

That sword box fell into his hands right away. He extended his senses to probe the sword aura emanated from the box. He opened and found no sword inside the box, which made it clear that the box was able to conjure beams capable of destroying Invincible Vajra beings, all on its own.

Lu Xuan speculated that the sword that came with the box was lost, as it would have been a true flying sword instead of just beams.

Those flying swords were supposed to be the real deal. They were far more powerful than the Bloodthirst currently in his hand.

But then again, the box itself was already more powerful than the Bloodthirst. His sword was only a very sharp, sturdy blade that came with a measure of sapience, and it was still somewhat inferior when compared to even common true power items.

That sword box could be considered a power item of lower grade. If the box were to be equipped with the sword that it supposedly carried, its grade would have most probably been higher.

Despite being only an entry-level power item, the user of said item was nonetheless an important factor to be considered. That sword box would have been a lot more devastating in Lu Xuan’s hands than in the hands of that Vietnamese fighter.

Lu Xuan put the Bloodthirst into the box right away. Given how the flying sword that the box came with being lost, the Bloodthirst seemed to be a decent replacement. It was entirely possible to mold the Bloodthirst into a flying sword, by nourishing it using the sword aura harbored within the box and then modifying it using some manner of secret arts.

He then went on to dispose of that other gravely injured Vietnamese fighter with a swing of the sword right away.

He picked up the cell phone that the Vietnamese fighter of medium build and found a group chat on the phone. He opened the group and found it to be a messaging group with fighters from various nations in it.

Messages were all over that group.

He pulled a piece of news he read earlier and saw a photo of the Dragon; the identity of the one taking the picture was unknown. The Dragon looked very haggard, running off far away while soaked in blood.

Ming Yueyao was seen not long afterward. She suffered a slash on her back, and there was a huge, bloody gash on it. Blood spilled, and from the looks of her wound, she almost died from the injury, given how her spine was almost severed.

News kept flooding into the group, and it became apparent that the fighters from all countries were ganging up on those from Huaxia. He kept scrolling up and found the founder of the group.

It was Adam. He was the head of the Association of Lore Seekers.

“Him!”

Lu Xuan narrowed his gaze coldly. He knew of Adam, and the Association of Lore Seekers was a cultivation organization that served the US government. Its status within the country was on par with that of the Special Task Force.

The leader of the association was a man named Adam.

The identity and background of that man remained a mystery for all Lu Xuan knew, but there was one definite thing about Adam. He was every bit as terrifying as the Dragon.

Adam was once one of the most powerful beings back in Lu Xuan’s past life, and the man eventually died in a battle.

Lu Xuan saw yet another familiar name other than Adam.

Saint Peter, leader of the Ark of Heaven from Europe.

“Yet another big shot.”

The Dragon, Saint Peter, and Adam were known to be the top three fighters throughout the world back in Lu Xuan’s past life.

The two of them had once been figures that Lu Xuan looked up to in awe. He never expected that the emergence of the Penglai Sacred Mountain actually managed to gather all three of them in one place.

“No wonder the Dragon ended up looking like this.”

Lu Xuan knew very well how powerful the Dragon was, and that no common Invincible Vajras would have been able to fight toe-to-toe with the Dragon. That man was so frighteningly powerful that he could escape without trouble, even if he were ganged up on by several Invincible Vajras.

With Ming Yueyao by his side, he would have at least had no problems keeping himself alive, even if he were to be unable to turn the tables on his enemies.

However, if Adam and Saint Peter were to be thrown into the mix, it would have been a different story altogether. Those two were known to be just as frighteningly powerful as the Dragon after all.

“Hunt this woman down. Anyone who finds her can claim the bounty put out by the Amaterasu-gumi. One billion US Dollars.”

He saw a picture sent to the group, and his pupils contracted somewhat right away.

That was because he saw the picture of a young woman who was in shambles and running as she was covered in blood.

“Shanshan?”

Lu Xuan was able to identify her right away. She was none other than his sister, Lu Shanshan.

There was no way he would expect to find a picture of his sister on that island. If his memory served him correctly, Lu Shanshan was supposed to be in school at the moment.

But then again, he knew all too well his sister’s temperament. She definitely managed to catch wind of the news somewhere and came to join the fray without giving it much thought.
