The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 608: Your Noble Self Has to Smell My Feet

Chapter 608: Chapter 608: Your Noble Self Has to Smell My Feet

Gregory Dawson plopped down on the sofa, picking at the leather. "Is this genuine leather? You’ve got a nice place here."

Levi Brooks took a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet and placed them by his feet. "Change into these first."

Gregory Dawson sneered. "Quite the neat freak, aren’t you?"

But he complied and put on the slippers.

Levi Brooks put his shoes in the entryway, went to the bathroom to wash his hands, and then poured him a glass of water before finally sitting down across from him. "Why are you here so late?"

"Heard you were living here, so I came to check it out." Gregory Dawson pulled a bruised, overripe banana from his pocket. "Here. A visitor’s gift."

Levi Brooks: "..."

Gregory Dawson tossed the banana onto the table and glanced at the glass of plain water. "Got any soda or beer? I don’t drink plain water. It’s boring."

Levi Brooks fell silent for a few seconds before saying, "I have orange juice. Is that okay?"

"I guess that’ll do."

Levi Brooks got up and poured him a glass of orange juice, placing it in front of him.

Gregory Dawson tilted his head back and drained the glass, then slammed it down on the coffee table. "Another."

Levi Brooks didn’t move, his displeasure clear on his face. "Gregory Dawson, what exactly are you trying to do?"

"Me?" Gregory Dawson smirked. "I’m here to visit my successful old classmate."

Levi Brooks pressed his lips together, not saying a word.

Gregory Dawson flopped back onto the sofa and propped his legs up. "Old classmate, I’m hungry. Order me some takeout."

Levi Brooks: "..."

Gregory Dawson urged him, "Hurry up. I haven’t eaten all day. I’m starving. I only bought two bananas, and I saved the last one for you."

Levi Brooks sighed. "What do you want to eat?"

"Meat," Gregory Dawson said bluntly. "Order me some goose with rice, a couple of beers, and some hairy crabs. It’s the right season for them."

Levi Brooks ordered the takeout for him, then played with Dumpling for a while.

After the food was delivered, he was about to head to the bathroom to take a shower when Gregory Dawson called out to him again.

"Hold on, where’s the beer?"

"If you want to drink, you can do it at your own home. All I have for you here are soft drinks."

"Fine, then get me a soft drink."

Levi Brooks got him a bottle of orange juice. But when he came out of the shower, he saw Gregory Dawson drinking red wine.

He frowned. "Where did you get the red wine?"

"You have a whole wall of it, and you lied, telling me you only had soft drinks? You think I’m some country bumpkin who doesn’t know any better?"

Levi Brooks: "..."

His expression darkened, his tone laced with displeasure. "Gregory Dawson, don’t go too far. This is my house. Did you ask for my permission before opening my wine?"

"Are you mad, old classmate?" Gregory Dawson looked at him with a shameless grin. "Don’t be like that. It’s just one bottle of wine. No need to be so petty, right? Aren’t you rich?"

Levi Brooks took a deep breath and said in a low voice, "No matter how rich I am, it’s still my money. That doesn’t give you the right to take my things without my permission!"

A drunken flush colored Gregory Dawson’s face as he sneered, "Levi Brooks, you really don’t need to take this attitude with me. The fact that I’m willing to come see you, eat your food, and drink your wine... that’s an honor for you."

Levi Brooks laughed in anger. "Have you no shame?"

"I’m not leaving tonight. Go get a room ready for me." Gregory Dawson started eating as he broke open a hairy crab.

Levi Brooks’s patience had reached its limit.

He raised a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, his voice thick with anger. "Gregory Dawson, please leave my house immediately. Otherwise, don’t blame me for calling the police."

Hearing this, Gregory Dawson violently slammed the crab in his hand onto the floor and sneered, "Are you threatening me? Well, now I’m definitely not leaving. I’m staying right here."

At these words, Levi Brooks looked down and began dialing 911 on his phone.

When Gregory Dawson saw he was actually calling the police, he jumped up and snatched his phone. "You’re really fucking doing it? You’re really calling the cops?"

"Give me back my phone!" Levi Brooks’s face was a mask of rage.

"Levi Brooks, you really don’t know what’s good for you!" Gregory Dawson sneered with contempt. "Since you want to be heartless, then don’t blame me for being cruel!"

He threw Levi Brooks’s phone onto the sofa, then lunged at him and threw a punch.

Watching from the corner, Dumpling grew frantic. The cat tried several times to help its master, only to be kicked away by Gregory Dawson each time.

Levi Brooks shouted worriedly, "Dumpling, go hide!"

Gregory Dawson was a thug. Levi Brooks, a cultured artist, was no match for him and was quickly pinned to the ground.

"Levi Brooks, why did you have to make things difficult for yourself?" Gregory Dawson laughed smugly. "I didn’t want to hit you. You forced my hand."

"Gregory Dawson, we have no history, no grudges. Why are you doing this to me?" Levi Brooks asked, unable to accept it.

Gregory Dawson tied him to a dining chair. A sinister smile played on his lips as he raised a hand and patted Levi’s face. "No history, no grudges? Think hard. Our relationship isn’t as shallow as just being old classmates."

Seeing its master tied up by the bad guy, Dumpling was agitated enough to bite.

But just as it hissed and charged at Gregory Dawson, he kicked it, sending it tumbling several meters away.

"You little beast. Just as clueless as your master." Gregory Dawson stared viciously at Dumpling and sneered, "Killing a person might make me think twice, but killing a cat? That’s easy."

Terrified by these words, Dumpling trembled and rushed into the room where Levi was, hiding in a corner.

During this time, Gregory Dawson would constantly beat and curse at Levi Brooks.

He was also something of a pervert. At first, he made Levi Brooks smell his feet.

"So high and mighty, are you? Dared to look down on my shoes. Well, now, you high-and-mighty type has to smell my feet."

Later, it escalated to making Levi Brooks lick his feet.

"Levi, are you hungry? Want something to eat? Here, have a taste of this."

When Levi Brooks refused, Gregory Dawson stomped his foot on his face.

Dumpling quickly recounted the events of last night.

At the time, Renee Jennings had seen some of what was happening intermittently through the camera on Zephyr.

Combined with what Dumpling said, the whole incident became much clearer.

Renee Jennings said softly, "Gregory Dawson said he and Levi Brooks are half-brothers. He said that Levi’s father got drunk, went to his house, and had sex with his mother."

Hearing this, Henry Stark furrowed his brow. "Contact Levi Brooks’s father and Gregory Dawson’s mother."

If Zephyr hadn’t reported the crime, they would have never arrived in time to rescue Levi Brooks. In that case, Levi might have truly been starved to death by Gregory Dawson.

No, that’s not right. There was another possibility—beaten to death by Gregory Dawson.

After all, every punch Gregory Dawson landed on Levi Brooks was thrown with full force.

After they finished questioning Dumpling, Renee Jennings and the others headed to the hospital to visit Levi Brooks.

His face was wrapped in thick bandages, revealing only a pair of lifeless eyes. His thin, frail body was draped in a large hospital gown as he lay quietly on the bed. He had to gasp for air with every word he spoke, his voice faint and hoarse, his entire being exuding weakness.
