The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 411: Your Girlfriend Might Be Someone Else’s Wife

Chapter 411: Chapter 411: Your Girlfriend Might Be Someone Else’s Wife

Renee Jennings smiled. "Why don’t you tell me first? Maybe I’ll be able to understand."

"Fine." King sat on his haunches in front of her and said slowly, "Let me tell you, this female has a male. This male loves to gamble. The other cats say he lost a ton of money, and people are always coming to his house to collect debts."

"I understand." Renee nodded. "Go on."

King said in surprise, "You’re pretty smart, then."

"Thanks for the compliment."

"That male almost got beaten to death. I heard his face was covered in blood."

"And then?"

"Then they came up with a way to make money. They have the female meet a bunch of males, go on dates with them, and then they trap them and make the males pay up..."

After hearing King’s story, a phrase suddenly flashed through Renee’s mind—a honey trap.

Her gaze fell on Yuri Sullivan, her expression complicated.

Yuri Sullivan’s fingers curled nervously. He asked uneasily, "Renee, what did King say?"

Renee asked softly, "Did you meet this girlfriend of yours while feeding stray cats?"

"Yes." Yuri Sullivan nodded. "I thought she was very kind. I was drawn to her when I saw her feeding strays."

"Did you approach her, or did she approach you?"

Yuri Sullivan’s cheeks flushed slightly. "I approached her..."

Renee raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

Yuri Sullivan answered, "She seemed really kind and caring."

King said with disgust, "Dead wrong! She’s not caring at all! Not one bit kind! I’ve even been kicked by her before! She also forces other cats to take pictures with her, and if they don’t cooperate, she hits them! Hits them real hard, and she even beat a cat to death!"

Renee frowned. "That happened too?"

"Why else do you think she’s so famous?" King shook his head. "She doesn’t have a caring bone in her body."

"Okay, I understand. Thank you." Renee reached out and patted King’s head.

Seeing her serious expression, Yuri Sullivan couldn’t help but press, "Renee, what did he say exactly?"

"Hold on a second." Renee picked up her phone and ordered ten cans of cat food, then looked at Yuri Sullivan. "Your girlfriend might be someone else’s wife."

"What?" The question came from Michelle Fuller, a look of astonishment on her face.

Sean Fuller’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Yuri Sullivan seemed stunned. He stared blankly at Renee for a long moment before speaking. "I... She... How is that possible?"

"That’s what King said." Renee frowned. "She got close to you to get money from you. And she’s not a caring person at all; she’s abused and killed stray cats. However, the truth of the matter still needs to be verified."

"How do we verify it?" Yuri Sullivan asked, dazed.

Renee: "Do you have her ID number?"

Yuri Sullivan shook his head. "No."

"Don’t you need an ID number to get a hotel room?"

"Huh? I’ve never gotten a room with her. Every time she hinted at it, I just pretended not to understand. I didn’t think it was the right time for that sort of thing."

Michelle Fuller gave him a thumbs-up. "You dress like a player, but you’re actually so innocent."

Yuri Sullivan said a bit shyly, "I just wanted to change things up, so I deliberately switched my style."

After speaking, his expression turned sorrowful again. "Is Flora... really someone else’s...?"

He couldn’t bring himself to say the word.

Renee didn’t answer the question. She said softly, "I’ll take a picture of her and have a colleague check her marital status."

"Okay." Yuri Sullivan nodded.

Renee took a picture of Flora and sent it to Sawyer. "Let’s leave it at that for now. I’ll let you know when I have news."

She glanced at her phone. The cat food she’d ordered was already on its way.

Five minutes later, ten cans of cat food were delivered to the teahouse.

Renee opened one and fed it to King. "Take the other nine for your friends."

King was very satisfied. "Alright, you’re a decent human."

"Of course." Renee turned to Michelle Fuller and suggested, "Shall we walk King back together?"

"Sure." Michelle Fuller nodded.

Sean Fuller immediately said, "Then I’m going too."

In the end, the three who had arrived together left together with King, while Yuri Sullivan walked alone and dejected down the street.

* * *

Renee and the Fuller siblings, Michelle and Sean, walked King back, then showed Flora’s photo to the residents of the complex.

Unexpectedly, most people didn’t recognize Flora. They just shook their heads and waved their hands when they saw her picture.

Logically, if Flora was so "famous," people’s reactions to her photo shouldn’t be so calm.

Renee thought for a moment, then went back to find King.

When King heard this, he told her, "This human female didn’t used to live here. She and her male scammed a whole lot of money, and then they moved into a new place here."

"So that’s how it is." Renee nodded. "I see. Are there enough cans of cat food to go around?"

"Enough to share," King said. "Thanks."

With that, he immediately scampered off.

Perhaps because of the tea they drank that afternoon, everyone got hungry before dinnertime, so they found a nearby restaurant to eat.

During the meal, Renee received a reply from Sawyer.

Flora, full name Dora Archer, twenty-nine years old, has been married for eight years.

Her husband is a gambler who once went to prison for theft. He is now the owner of a foot massage parlor.

That was all the information Sawyer provided, but it was more than enough.

Renee put down her chopsticks, her gaze landing on Sean Fuller across from her. "Chad’s girlfriend has been married for eight years."

"Huh?" The piece of chicken Sean had just put in his mouth fell out. "Now there’s a sentence you don’t hear every day."

Michelle Fuller chewed frantically, swallowed the meat in her mouth, put down her chopsticks, and elegantly wiped her mouth. Her eyes were shining with astonishing brightness. "Whoa, that’s a lot to unpack. Do tell."

Renee gave her an exasperated look.

She took a sip of tea, glanced around, and lowered her voice. "If Chad had gone to a hotel with Flora, he definitely would have been caught in a honey trap."

"A honey trap?" Sean asked, surprised. "Is it that serious?"

"I heard it from King." Renee explained slowly, "She must have done this many times. The money she scammed was enough for her to get a new house and open a foot massage parlor for her husband."

Sean felt quite sympathetic about his friend’s predicament, while also being secretly glad that he’d never encountered such a situation himself.

’Compared to this, I was actually pretty lucky before... right?’

Michelle tilted her head to look at her little brother and remarked, "You and your friend are quite the pair of hapless buddies, aren’t you?"

Sean pursed his lips and mumbled quietly, "I think I’m a little better off than him, right?"

Michelle: "I don’t see it."

While the siblings were bickering, a thought suddenly occurred to Renee.

She said softly, "How about... we have Chad go get a room with Flora?"
