The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 366: Do You Have Any Shame?

Chapter 366: Chapter 366: Do You Have Any Shame?

SugarfreeCola suddenly felt as disgusted as if she’d swallowed a fly.

"How could they lie to me like this?"

SugarfreeCola was furious. She shot to her feet. "No, I’m going to march right back there and demand answers!"

"If you confirm the apartment has nothing to do with your husband’s family, what are you going to do?" Renee Jennings asked softly.

SugarfreeCola walked IceCream as she spoke, "Honestly, I don’t know. It’s all so sudden, I haven’t had time to think. But if the apartment really belongs to his aunt, I’ll move out immediately."

She frowned in frustration. "I’m not shameless enough to impose on them like this. The more I think about it, the more mortified I am."

"Don’t beat yourself up over it," Renee Jennings comforted her. "Look at it this way: his aunt’s family and your husband’s family lied to you together."

"That’s true." SugarfreeCola nodded, feeling as if a weight had been lifted.

[The host is a great comforter, haha]

[Exactly! Cola was the one kept in the dark. Why should she be embarrassed? They’re the ones who should be embarrassed!]

[Cola, don’t disconnect later, okay? Let us see how the drama ends, even though that’s a bit insensitive of us.]

[Cola, if you move out, do you have a place to stay?]

"I’ll just find a hotel for now," SugarfreeCola replied to the comments. "It’s fine. I’ll keep my phone in my hand in a bit, so I won’t lose the connection."

[Sis grants all our wishes~~~]

[Sigh, where’s the trust between people! Lying about something like this!]

"I’m so frustrated, too. I never thought something so absurd would happen to me." SugarfreeCola was utterly speechless.

She had just been walking her dog in the neighborhood, so she got home quickly.

It was after one in the morning, but her aunt’s family was still up, watching TV in the living room.

Once off the leash, IceCream immediately ran to her cousin.

SugarfreeCola said hello. She wanted to ask them about it but was afraid of putting them in an awkward spot, so she went into the bedroom instead.

Her husband was at the computer playing a game. Seeing her enter, he said, "You’re back."

"Stop for a second," SugarfreeCola said. "I need to talk to you."

"What?" Her husband turned around and asked suspiciously, "Why are you suddenly so serious?"

"Before we got married, my parents asked you, and you said this apartment belonged to your dad, right?"

"Why are you asking about that?" her husband frowned.

SugarfreeCola’s expression was serious. "Just answer my question."

"Yes, so what?"

"Did you lie?" ’She wanted to give this man one more chance. If he told the truth now, she might consider not divorcing him.’

However, her husband didn’t have that kind of sense. He just stammered, "No, what would I lie about?"

"Whose apartment is this, really?"

"What’s wrong with you? Why do you keep asking about this?"

SugarfreeCola took a deep breath, suppressing her rage. "Aaron Conway, does this apartment belong to your aunt?"

Aaron Conway’s heart skipped a beat, a flicker of shock crossing his eyes. "You... how could you..."

"How could I know?" SugarfreeCola stared at him and sneered, "If you don’t want anyone to know, you shouldn’t have done it in the first place!"

"No, that’s not it." Aaron Conway was frantic. "Tanya, please, let me explain, okay? It’s not what you think."

"Then what is it?" SugarfreeCola said, incensed. "Your whole family is disgusting!" 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Aaron Conway quickly made a shushing gesture. "Tanya, keep your voice down. Don’t let them hear you."

"You’re worried about them hearing?" SugarfreeCola looked at him with disgust. "Do you have any shame? If you had even a shred of decency, you wouldn’t have done something so shameless."

"Tanya Woods, how can you say something like that?" Aaron Conway was starting to get angry from the shame.

SugarfreeCola: "Was I wrong?"

Aaron Conway opened his mouth but was at a loss for words.

SugarfreeCola took a deep breath, lowered her gaze, and said calmly, "Aaron Conway, let’s get a divorce."

After speaking, she pulled out a suitcase, stuffed a few outfits from the closet inside, tossed in the bottles and jars from her vanity, and zipped it up, all in one fluid motion.

"Tanya Woods!" Aaron Conway watched from the side, saying helplessly, "Can you not be so impulsive? It’s not that big of a deal."

SugarfreeCola was dragging her suitcase to leave when she heard him. She stopped, turned her head to stare at him for a few seconds, and scoffed, "Deceiving me into marriage isn’t a big deal? You’re disgusting!"

With that, she opened the door and left, dragging the suitcase behind her.

Aaron Conway hurried after her, softening his tone at the elevator. "Tanya Woods, I’m begging you, can you at least let me save some face?"

SugarfreeCola walked into the elevator car with a blank expression and held down the close-door button.

Watching the elevator doors slowly close, Aaron Conway knew a crack had formed in his marriage with Tanya Woods.

He returned to the apartment, where his aunt’s family, who had been watching TV in the living room, looked at him with concern.

"Aaron, did you and Tanya Woods have a fight?" his aunt asked.

Aaron Conway said irritably, "Did you guys tell her the truth about this apartment?"

The aunt’s family looked at each other and shook their heads.

"Don’t look at me, I didn’t say anything."

"Me neither. I barely ever talk to her."

"I didn’t either."

"..."

Aaron Conway roared in frustration, "Stop pretending! Did our staying here get in your way?"

**

SugarfreeCola hailed a taxi to a hotel.

In the car, she thanked Renee Jennings, and after disconnecting, she sent a Bright Stars gift worth 520 yuan.

Renee Jennings also ended her stream and went to rest.

The next day, she set her alarm for eight, and after breakfast, she headed to the coffee shop across from the Kindred Care Center.

Lana Yardley had arranged to meet Kyle Morgan at the coffee shop at ten in the morning.

Lana Yardley arrived at 10:05, and Kyle Morgan arrived at 10:10.

On WeChat, Lana Yardley’s voice sounded incredibly charming, and in person, she was dressed to match—mature and alluring, with big waves in her hair and a tight black dress.

She took great issue with Kyle Morgan being late. "I’m always the one who’s kept waiting."

"Isn’t that a coincidence?" Kyle Morgan crossed his legs, a look of arrogant indulgence on his face. "I’ve never waited for anyone, either."

Lana Yardley was speechless. She rolled her eyes, stood up, and said, "Let’s go. I’ll take you to see the goods."

Kyle Morgan raised an eyebrow. "Miss Yardley, not going to join me for a cup of coffee first?"

"No." Lana Yardley raised a hand to flick her hair back. "My time is very precious."

Kyle Morgan chuckled. "We have so much in common."

Lana Yardley didn’t respond, instead walking ahead in her high heels.

Kyle Morgan followed behind her, adjusting the miniature camera on his shirt button before hurrying to catch up. "Miss Yardley, I don’t like people walking ahead of me. It feels disrespectful."

Lana Yardley: "..."

She ignored him and quickened her pace.

Kyle Morgan frowned and reminded her, "The customer is always right. Didn’t you hear what your customer said?"

Lana Yardley turned to glance at him. "Sorry, but in our line of work, we don’t have that many rules."
