Aria Sinclair hesitated for a moment before dialing Zoe Morgan’s number.
"We’re sorry, the subscriber you have dialed is currently unavailable..."
Aria Sinclair called two more times, but she couldn’t get through.
Frowning, she opened Faye Wyatt’s social media feed.
Aria Sinclair thought for a moment, then opened her chat with Faye Wyatt, typed out a message, and sent it.
[Fanny, did you meet with Vivi tonight?]
Faye Wyatt saw Aria Sinclair’s message as soon as she got in her car. She pressed the voice message button and said, "Aria, yes, I did. But Vivi wasn’t feeling well later, so she went home early."
After listening to the voice message, Aria Sinclair sent another text: [The girl in your social media post, did Vivi bring her?]
Faye Wyatt froze when she saw the message.
’Why would Aria Sinclair think Renee was brought by Vivi?’

"I know I was wrong." Aria Sinclair’s eyes turned red as she choked back a sob. "Fanny, you’re right to scold me."
Faye Wyatt: "...When did I scold you?"
Aria Sinclair was stunned for a second, then quickly said, "You’re right. I was being foolish."
"Sigh." Faye Wyatt was now filled with pity for Renee Jennings. "Poor Renee, being misunderstood by you all for no reason. Let me tell you, she’s a very, very good person."
Even though she hadn’t spent much time with Renee Jennings, she could just sense her goodness.
"I know we were wrong. We’ve let Renee down," Aria Sinclair said, her heart aching with guilt and pain.
"You guys..." Faye Wyatt paused, but couldn’t stop herself. "You all seem so smart usually. How could you be so foolish about this?"

"Is Renee’s current family well-off?" Aria Sinclair asked.
Faye Wyatt: "Very."

There was silence on the other end of the line. Yvonne Morgan gripped her phone, her eyes filled with resentment.
Zoe Morgan’s tone became a little more coaxing. "Meet with your auntie, okay?"
